Nursery

At our church when a child is 18 months old they can start going to nursery, which is like Sunday School for toddlers.  Harrison's day came today.  Tag usually teaches one of the youth classes every Sunday, but he asked me to sub for him so that he could take Harrison on his very first day.  We thought that Tag was going to have to stay the entire time to help Harrison adjust, but after a few minutes Tag walked into class and said that Harrison was doing fine (except that he was eating play dough).  Way to go, Harrison!  Harrison was looking nice and spiffy for his big day. Tag even did his hair!

The Zoo!

When the weather is nice, outdoors we go. Harrison had a great time, especially now that he's talking a lot and loves to say the animal's names along with the corresponding sounds they make. Whenever we go somewhere that offers a map of the grounds, Lily gets very excited.  She loves to carry a map around so she can figure out where we are or how to get where we need to go.  It's a lot of fun!  the thing I love most about taking the kids out is watching how much fun they have together.  They are becoming really good friends.  It gives me so much joy to see them laughing and playing together.

The Help

I had heard a lot about this book, so I finally went and picked it up.  I really enjoyed it and I highly recommend it.  There are so many things that I want to say about it, but I will refrain incase you are going to read it.  Anyway, it's a great story.  I couldn't put it down!  I cried several times. It's a must read!

Weekend Getaway!

Tag and I took a weekend trip to Vail on March 5th. We went with some good friends, Deren and Tara. The guys spent the entire time skiing, while Tara and I found other fun things to do with the kids. Tag has always been a snowboarder, but this time he wanted to give skiing a shot. He's one of those lucky guys who succeeds at pretty much anything he tries. By the end of his first day skiing, he was already tearing up the mountain. At times it was hard for me to sit around while at Vail and not ski. I LOVE to ski and haven't done it since we moved to Colorado because I've either been pregnant or nursing. I guess there was one year I could have gone, but we just didn't. We live close to so many incredible ski resorts, that I know if we ever move from Colorado I would forever regret not spending a weekend in Vail. We found a cute little condo right at the foot of the mountains and had a great couple of days with our friends.
Some of the things we did: played in the snow, shopped in Vail Village, horse drawn sleigh ride, enjoyed good food, sledding, and relaxed!

Monkey Bizness

There is a great place nearby called, Monkey Bizness.  A friend from preschool invited Lily to go play there today, we brought another friend along with us and the girls had a blast!  Harrison enjoyed himself as well.  It's this enormous indoor play place with so many different things to climb on, slide down, and swing from - every kids dream!

Harrison got that nice little bruise this morning.  He tripped and landed face first on the hard wood floor.
