1 Week Old (& naughty) today

Carson is 1 week old today. He has already changed so much from the day he is born. He is such a good baby and I can't complain at how well he eats and sleeps. He was a naughty boy today though. He has been spitting up a ton and I've been getting used to it. Not only did he spit up all over me this morning, he also urinated and pooped all over me as well. It was all in the same hour too!! and part of it was right in the middle of his bath. It was quite the mess. I just had to laugh. His facial expressions give such a "I'm so relieved" look that you just smile and kiss him. We love you Carson!

Travis and I are the proud new parents of Carson Brent Fenn! He is already the best and sweetest baby boy. We honestly could not have asked for a more perfect baby. He is doing well and has such a calm demeanor about him. I am also feeling great and hope to continue recovering healthy and strong.

Travis and I want everyone to know how grateful we are for your love and support. We could not and will not be able to do this without you. Thanks for all the phone calls, text messages, emails, visits both in the hospital and now that we are at home. We are surrounded by the most wonderful friends and family! We love you all!

Not one of the better...ONE OF THE BEST!

Travis and I saw the movie FIREPROOF tonight. What an absolutely fabulous movie! I would definitely recommend it to any married couple...and I am not just saying that. It is one of those movies that you walk away from with a smile on your face, happy that you chose to go see it versus all the other crap that is in the world today. Also, women, take some tissue. I had no idea I needed any and just about the time I thought I was done crying...I would cry some more. Go see it for yourself! Take our word for it and let me know what you thought of it.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of it though, I left wanting to improve and strengthen my marriage and I know Travis feels the same. We definitely benefited from seeing it.

**It is a religious (Christian) based movie...with references made of Christ and the acting isn't the greatest, but that would not have stopped me from seeing it now or over and over again.

Work SURPRISED me with a baby shower!!

Well, to begin, can you tell we LOVE our nieces and nephews?!? We love any chance we get to be around them. They each have such different personalities and all love to smile. You can't beat a cute baby or child that loves to smile! If I knew how to add a video I would add one that goes along with the picture of Travis and Rylee. They are sitting on a wiggle car in the picture and would each take turns pushing each other through the kitchen and down the hall. Rylee got the absolute biggest kick out of this and could barely walk she was laughing so hard. It was so funny.

I have been spoiled with this baby coming and my work threw me a surprise baby shower my last day before I left on maternity leave. I got some cute outfits, blankets and diapers. I also received a gift card to Babies-R-Us with a good chunk of money on it. I am grateful for their support to me and treating me like I am family. A few days later, my supervisor called me to have me come pick up a bag of clothes she had for me (see picture above). I could not believe how many clothes there were and how cute they all were as well. THANK YOU JESSICA and PEDS STAFF!!

Last but not least, I have NO UPDATE on this baby's arrival. He is definitely enjoying his warm little abode inside of me and has not chosen to make an entrance yet. I am dilated to a 1.5 and about 80% thinned, but still nothing more than that (as of Monday this week). I am definitely learning patience and I need to just be content knowing that he will come on his due date or possibly after. If he makes his arrival prior, then that I will be grateful for. I love him so much already and can't wait to meet the little guy.

Truly a wonderful experience!!

Well, here they are to those of you that have asked! I haven't taken any pictures for a while now and thought it might be a good idea. I have actually been documenting in writing and pictures all about this pregnancy so that I have a journal of what and how I am feeling and events that have occurred. I have truly loved being pregnant. Now don't get me wrong though...acid reflux is kicking my butt right now and I am highly uncomfortable when I try to sleep, but if those are my biggest complaints, then I think I am doing great! I appreciate all of you that have offered advice and answered my random questions. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful support system and will do my best to keep you all updated on my progress.
