Beach Day 6/26/2014

I have been trying to do something fun with the kids every day this past week since we only have 2 weeks off until Summer Camp and school begins again. On Thursday we went to Robert Moses Beach. Just the 3 of us. It was a lot of fun just playing for hours in the sand and waves. Caroline was trying to surf on her boogie board. She was actually really good at balancing. She stayed on the sand and waited for the waves to come and carry her in standing on her board.

 I love these two so much! These pictures really show their personalities! AJ is seriously the funniest kid. He makes us laugh all the time with his ninja poses and made up words. Caroline is sweet, and a born leader....a shy one. She is pretty good at getting her brother to do whatever she wants. I know that's not going to last forever!

Day in NYC 6/25/2014

Wednesday morning I randomly woke up and decided to take the kids to NYC exploring for the day. The plan was to go to the Central Park Zoo if we could find it. Well, we found it...but the kids didn't want to go. We ended up riding the carousel in Central Park, eating ice cream and then playing in the kids playground/splash park area. It was a fun day. The kids really enjoyed the train ride and riding in a Taxi.

Caroline's Pre-K Graduation

My baby girl has graduated from Preschool! It's so hard to believe that she will be off to Kindergarten in September. She is very excited...I, on the other hand, will be blubbering like a baby on September 2nd :-( I tried to talk her into staying home with me one more year, but she said no. She's ready, and she's excited...so I will try to be excited too. I will miss her all day.

Moving Up Ceremony at Mill Pond Nursery School

A lot has happened in the past 2 years since I last got on here and blogged. I started a preschool/day care. It is pretty awesome and I am very proud of myself! I've always been a super shy person, so starting my own business wasn't ever something I imagined myself doing. I have an amazing husband who encouraged me and taught me a lot of things about business. I couldn't have done it without him. I am happy to say that I just finished my first successful year running a preschool! I can't wait for this coming year! People in the community are talking, and a lot of people have heard positive things about the school! I get phone calls for tours every couple days. It's a wonderful feeling!

Here are a few videos and pictures from the Three Year old class "Moving Up Ceremony". AJ was in this class and he loved it. Ms. Nicole and Ms. Terri were his teachers and he had 8 other kids in his class. It was fun watching him perform. During practice he sang, but I think he was a little overwhelmed by the people. Love him.

I'm back!

I'm going to attempt to start blogging again rather than use FB so much. I have a lot of parents of my preschoolers adding me and I would like to have a little more privacy. I don't know if I can catch up on the last 2 years....but I will try. I think for now I will just go with the most recent updates if I can figure out how to use blogger again!

Christmas 2011

Christmas was really fun this year! Caroline understood what was going on and had so much fun leading up to Christmas, and on Christmas morning. I think she was kinda sad when it was all over. On Christmas Eve we had Tom's brothers family and his parents over for dinner. Caroline got this awesome doll house from Yaya and Papou! She loves it! AJ got a cool alphabet train that he loves too. Christmas day we went to his brother Nick's house for dinner and gifts with all 7 cousins together.
