After the parade we came home where Tom and his mom, Maryann, were making us all dinner. I was so glad I didn't have to make the turkey because I have no idea how to. All I did was make my favorite green bean casserole. Tom's brother Angelo also had dinner with us. After dinner we all went to Toms uncles house for pie....Yummy!

Kim and I really wanted to go to the Macy's Day Parade despite the fact that it was rainy and windy. We only made it through the first 4 or 5 floats....but it was fun anyway. The city was so packed. At one point we were stuck were we were...we couldn't move either direction. We watched what we were able to watch from 39th and Broadway and then headed back to the train station because it was pouring rain....but at least now we can say that we have been to the Macy's Day Parade!

On Tuesday night Tom, Kim, Maryann (Toms mom), and I all went to see the Christmas Show at Radio City Music Hall. I think Kim really enjoyed it, as did the rest of us!

On Tuesday, I thought Kim might be bored at home so I took her with me to the preschool that I work at. It was nice having her there to keep me company and help with projects for the kids.

Of course I had to take Kim to see the beach! I took her to Robert Moses beach on Monday and it was so cold I thought I would turn into an icicle. We took lots of picures and then got out of there as fast as we could. The only other people crazy enough to go to the beach in Novemember were the fisherman.
For Thanksgiving break my sister Kim came to NY to visit Tom and I. On Sunday I took her to the city to see all the sites that we could possibly see in one day. We both had a lot of fun. It was nice to show my sister where I live now and have her experience some of the things that I do every day.
After Central Park we went to see the temple. . . and then to the Top of The Rock. It's a great view, but really cold! 
Next we went to Central Park! We were trying to find the ice skating rink and the bridge that are in all the movies...but we couldn't find it. 
Then we went to Ground Zero. I had never been there before so it was a good experience for me too.
The first thing we did was to ride the Staten Island Ferry to see the Statue of Liberty . . . it was sooo cold on the ferry! 
Tom and I both had Columbus Day off -- our first day off together in a while. We decided to go pumpkin picking...as we were driving down the road we saw a beautiful river and a place to rent kayaks so we decided to try it out. After we went kayaking we went to Tom's brothers bagel store and had a late lunch -- gyros! It was a wonderful way to spend our day off!

I finally convinced Tom that I needed a kitten to keep me company while he is at work. Right after I talked him into it we went on Craigs List and found a lady in Bethpage that was selling kittens. We even got one for Toms mom and she loves it! It took us a while to name her...we even looked in a baby name book. We finally settled on Bella because she is a real beauty.
Tom has never had a cat before...he's a dog person...but he sure loves Bella!
On Saturday we decided to go to the city. I have been dying to see Beauty and the Beast on Broadway and I have never been to Central Park . . . so we did both!

On August 12th we decided to have a family barbeque. We hadn't seen everyone since the wedding so we thought we would meet everyone at the beach and have hot dogs and burgers. Toms brothers Angelo and Teddy came . . . and Teddy's girlfriend. His Aunt and Uncle and their two kids Elenie and Steffon also came. Tom and I actually went in the water. It was a beautiful day and it was so refreshing to go swimming.
August 11th was my birthday. I wanted to go to the city to see Beauty & the Beast but Tom's mom gave us free Yankee tickets. We decided to go to the Yankee game and save Beauty & the Beast for the next weekend. It was cool to actually watch a Yankee game at the stadium instead of on T.V.. Too bad they lost. :(
After the wedding we went to Hawaii on our honeymoon. We went to Kauai first, then to Kona on the Big Island, and then to Honolulu on Oahu. Hawaii was so beautiful. I wish we never had to come back to reality. I have never seen such a beautiful place in all my life. We spent 2 wonderful weeks there. It was so nice to just wake up each morning and have no worries. We could just be together and not have to worry about work and when we had to be where. We loved it!

And the story begins . . . Tom and I were married on July 7, 2006 in the Albuquerque, NM LDS temple. Both of us are so happy that we could be married in the temple and sealed to each other and our future children for time and all eternity. We are so happy that we found each other and that we can be together forever. This day was a great start for a wonderful life yet to come.
