Happy Independence Day!

Too bad I hav to prepare my PCS oral tech. presentation, study for two incoming tests for next week and a few tutorials to be completed next week. Else, I would have gone to somewhr in Ipoh to countdown.

Wat to do? I can't afford to screw up my 30% of my oral pres + 10% of each tests. Aww...tis is super lame. Serve myself rite for being lazy or else I would hav done my presentation a few days ago n hav fun. Oh well, at least I went Ipoh for 'Money Not Enough 2' on Thurs (consoling my own).

May our country's politics be stronger n better. May corruptions drop n drop. May the prices of everything stop hiking up. May our country expand n citizens live in peace n harmony. God bless M'sia...

It was my uni 8th Convocation last week. So, my uni is ard 13 yrs old dy. Me n my frens went to congrats our seniors on their graduation. It's always great to see ppl in their grad robe n wearing mortarboard. I can't wait to grad next year!!! I reli wanna wear those too n hold a v beautiful big bouquet of flowers fr my family n my bf when I grad, I hope so...:P

It would be even better if my bf can attend my convo *dreaming* which is unlikely coz his convo gonna fall on the same week as mine *sigh*. Oh well, I only have a few pics as I didn't bring my cam fon ard to snap photos. So many of the photos r in my seniors' digi cam. Darn, my face so chubby :(.

It's weekend again and my academic week 6 has just ended. It's a mixed feelings of happy n sad though. Happy coz it's hols on Mon due to M'sia 51st Independence Day. Sad coz thr's lotsa assignments/projects/tests/blabla coming up.

I've got a technical individual oral pres for PCS n a test on next tues then another test on tat friday. The week after next week I'm gonna hand out my FYP progress report. The best thing is I not yet started doing any of it...die....I just feel like sleeping for the whole weekend *hehe*

The happiest thing is when I got my result for last semester's Internship on Thurs. Yes, my uni's 8 mths Internship is evaluated as 1 semester result (14 credit hours, so don't play play). I've got an A (4.00 GPA) for my Intern, as wat I hav expected. Thx to my host company's SVs fr WD & RWP n also my uni SV, Mr. Azizuddin. Thank you v much!!!

I'm quite happy abt it but surprisingly I didn't feel overwhelmed by it, didn't feel extremely happy also...don knw y. Tis is the only sem I can score 4 flat & I did it :). Tat 'A' meant a lot to me to boost up my CGPA. I'm reli glad I did it. Many of my unimates obtained an A for their intern too, congrats!

The nite itself, 31 asked if I wanna join them to watch Jack Neo's new release movie, Money Not Enough 2 (S'porean) with some of my unimates. Immediately I cancelled 1 of my meeting n join them for the movie. Tat movie is nice! It's totally different fr Money Not Enough 1. Part I & II r totally not related. As usual, those actors r those few jokers fr Liang Po Po & Nu Ren 40 Dang Zhi Qiang (S'porean comedy drama series).

So tis time, as usual, they critisize their govt like hell n in a funny way...tis movie is v meaningful. This movie instilled moral values in it...treasure wat u hav, respect ppl n be filial to ur mother. I alwiz love Singaporean movies. They r funny n also crappy at times yet meaningful. 31 complained tat I laughed a bit too much n non-stop. He nvr watch movie wif me, tats y..hehe!

I'm so irritated by such an inconsiderate n super selfish person. I do not want to go in details. Man, tat's reli getting on my nerves. Sometimes I reli felt like scold it aloud but I tell myself "bear with it" bcoz I do not want create any conflicts or troubles. *bek chek bek chek bek chekkkk*

Presentations

I just did my 1st presentation for a course, Professional Communication Skills (PCS) last week. The theme was technical presentation (process) n my group did drilling circulation process. I felt tat my group did a good job but I'm nt sure hw's my lecturer gonna evaluate us as she's an English lady fr England. She definitely got a v high expectations!

PCS is 100% coursework based. 2 group presentation & 2 individual presentation. Last week was 20%, now wats coming up? Individual Technical Presentation which cost me 30% of my total coursework. I'm still haven settle on wat to present based on my major, EE. EE stuffs r boring, I hav no idea which is interesting. Darn, need to prepare a proper outline as well. Nowonder the lecturer was saying tis course is a demanding course during the mass lecture.

I need inspirations!!!!

After individual tech. pres., thr will be Business Group Meeting, which I have no idea wat the heck is it yet n it is 20% and last but nt least another individual oral persuasive pres. which is 30%. Before midsem, 70% of the presentations will be completed. The good thing bout tis course is I don need to study n memorise the lecture notes since no quiz, test or exams... But I have to undergo 4 presentations, memorise my scripts, prepare presentation slides...very time consuming as well.

I don't reli like presentations. Thr's so much thing tat I dislike esp when it comes to academic stuff, oh well... Not only PCS got pres, FYP also got. OMG, I will be overdosed by presentations tis sem. Not fun at all... -_-"

Sigh

Time flies, esp on weekends. Before I realise, Week 5 will begin on the next day. Aww, I'm not liking weekdays. Nevertheless, it's gonna be another hectic week *scary*. So not cool. Why do good n happy times always passed so fast? It have been 3 weeks since he left M'sia but it felt like as if mths or even years. We just talked on the fon an hour ago n I'm already missing him, oh crap! *I miss him badly...*

So Sick of Reports

Last year, while I'm in 3rd Year 1st Semester, I thought Engineering Team Project (ETP) was a big disaster n nightmare for me, esp when my groupmates voted me to bcome the leader of my team. Then I always the one to compile reports, a lot of hard work n sleepless nite. Luckily it went well. However, I reli hate doing reports. I started to get sick of doing report after I held the Secretary post for Leo Club in my high sch. Tat time I got reli reli sick of reports.

After ETP, Internship...guess what? Say hello to reports!!! Logbook for every week, yes, every single week! Then a Final Internship Report towards the end. Well, at least no test/exams/assign. And now, tada! Final Year Project (FYP)! Wow, lots of reports awaiting ahead of me...sadly, FYP is even more interesting...it lasts for 2 semester, until I grad. Oh my god!!! yarabi! yarabi!

I started to do my preliminary report draft for FYP yesterday at 6pm. Had dinner, shower, laundry in between though. It took me at least 10 hours upon completion of my preliminary draft. Then I went to bed at ard 5am. It's more like I'm doing the final preliminary draft report as if I'm doing the final one though, I wanna make it the final one so I do not hav to edit so much after my SV checked today.

And heck, I still feel tired now even though I slept till 12+pm. I slept for at least 7 hours but why still so tired. Sigh, I look so terrible n exhausted. UTP is turning me into a zombie.

Now I realise, the real horrible nitemare + disaster is FYP!!! I'm gonna haunt by it for tis 1 year time. Wish me luck!!! Sometimes I wonder, why my ambition is to be an engineer n why did I insist on studying Engineering. Or should I say why Engineering is so tough? *sighhh*

Birthday Celebration

It was Woan Chin's b'day yesterday so we had organised a surprise b'day mini celeb + dinner at Moven Peak Restaurant in Greentown, Ipoh. Credit to Derrick for recommending such a nice place. The atmosphere in Moven Peak is absolutely great! I love this restaurant. There's indoor & outdoor. We sat outdoor though so we can watch the Olympics which is shown on screen by the projector there while celeb the b'day.

There were so many ppl sitting outdoor n eating thr last nite, prob due to Olympics. The indoor look quite cosy, wth quiet environment. This place is famous for steamboat though. Well, all of us were ordering western food. The price thr I would say moderate, not so expensive and very reasonable I would say. I ordered guava juice and NZ Sirloin Steak. Somehow, I was so hungry and didn't snap a pic of the steak tat I've ordered. The food here is nice!!!

Their service are good as well. I would love to dine in tis place again in the v near future.

After the dinner, Chin n her bf stayed thr n watched Olympics. When we were going out of the main entrace, we saw a guy taking a big bouquet of red roses. I think shud be 12 roses. Romantic eh...reminds me of my bf giving me roses though. Then, Chin told us that the guy actually proposed to the gal.

Wat a place to proposed! Prob Moven Peak is the place they first date eh?! But this guy reli choose a good date to propose marriage, 08-08-08...such a memorable date eh! Too bad the three of us missed the proposal coz we left the place earlier to catch a movie - The Mummy in GSC, Ipoh Parade.

I was told the guy were holding the bouquet of roses while standing n proposing but the gal refuse to accept. After that he kneeled down to propose to his gf. Romantic eh?! I would love to c ppl propose marriage in live. Too bad no chance to watch!

Anyway the mummy is not bad, quite funny but still the first 2 are better, exp the part 2.

Such a beautiful date! And it's OLYMPICS 2008 in Beijing, China! It's Friday!!! Oh, great!!! weekends is coming! Anyway, thr's a lot of work to be done tis weekend beside relaxing n resting. FYP FYP...sigh! However, rather :( coz can't watch Olympics...darn, y Olympics when I finish my intern? Anyway, Happy 08-08-08!!!

My uni is so rich, everyday sprinkle water...not only for the plants but also for the grasses. The plants n grasses in UTP r so blissful! I think they might drink too much water! haha!

I even saw another two birds same species as this along the walkway at Chancellor Complex n it's just outside library...A fren of mine said tat he his fren claimed tat there is a season whr animals suicide. I wonder how true is tat?

IEEE Seminar Swimming

There was this International External Examiners Seminar (IEES) held for Final Year Project (FYP) students yesterday. Now, my uni is going globally~ Those speakers they hav invited for this seminar is not those san-ka-lei/ci-pa-lang (crappy) ppl to come over n talk but it's some reli high quality professor fr various country. They even invited a professor fr Princeton Uni, USA just to give a talk on his team's Energy Strategies for a Carbon-constrained World, kept stressing on CO2 stuff n it's under Civil Eng. stuff. I listen till I wanna sleep...luckily he just talked for an hour.

Supposedly to go for a talk which is relevant to my course, EE stuff, "Emerging Broadband Wireless Technologies & Cognitive Radio - A Technical Overview" by a local Professor, an Indian but dunno fr which uni. But somehow I just skipped right after the CO2 talk thinggy coz

I was quite sleepy n lazy want to walk back hostel. Skipped wif d rest of my housemates n follow their car back hostel.

Tis time I came back n saw some white guys here, some r Russian. I heard some r Australian..I was asking my senior, wat r they doin here in UTP n why would they wanna come here since my uni is so isolated n stranded far away fr the city.

My senior told me 1 of those white guys r Australian, his coursemate doing student exchange here. They r studying Architechure but taking some Civil's courses since it's relevant to their field of studies. I asked "how long would they be here?", my senior answered "1 year".

I was like OMG!!! 1 year, means 2 sems, if 1 sems still nt tat bad. My senior added "yam gong" (means pitiful). Yeah, I feel sad for them haha!!!

It's Wed n it's ladies day for swimming. Went swimming n suppose to swim 10 laps as usual. But due to the sudden drizzling which made us thought the rain gonna be heavy soon, I only managed to swim 8 laps, 2 more laps leh *argh*.

Next week hopefully got time to go swimming...got to go exercise at least a week. I'm so lazy tis sem. Oh well...

Crappy Connection

My uni internet connection sux to the max. The LAN is so slow!!! It have been like this since I joined UTP.

I can't even access WiFi using my own account after intern, prob they hav reset my account n I hav got to register once again.

I wanna play Facebook also hard coz the internet connection here is too slow tat the error page kept appearing, which is so frustrating n time consuming (waste my time!). I wanna do research also hard coz it's too slow. I wanna upload pics even more difficult!

I'm accessing WiFi now usin my junior's account. The connection is much much more faster than LAN, moreover...with no blocks (MSN, YouTube,...). Else I won't be blogging here. With such a crappy LAN internet connection I'm gonna blog less, unless when I can access WiFi.

It's Week 3 dy n I hav so many work to do. Many things to catch up. Got to prepare for presentations for PCS, tutorials, lab reports, assignments, FYP Preliminary Report, research for FYP. Frustrated...

It's going to drive me crazy~ I used to thought final year is kinda relax but I'm so wrong. It's getting even more interestingly miserable!

Party - Shopping - Concert

I had such a busy weekend last week. Party on fri nite, shopping in the next morning n musical performances (Symphony Fest) in uni at nite.

Partying at Rum Jungle, Tambun, Ipoh. Well, it's my 1st time club in Rum Jungle. I like the place as it's spacious n it has dance floor. Four of us went on Fri nite, the rest of our gang went back hometown.

The theme on that nite is Tribal & Trance, which describes the music on tat nite. I don't really fancy tribal n trance, I still prefer R&B/Hip-hop though. We open bottle an Irish Whiskey, Jameson. It's my 1st time drinkin Jameson n it taste not bad, taste a bit like JD.

Of coz, I did not drink till drunk, just a lil tipsy n vomitted several times. Meanwhile 1 of my dear fren got so wasted unexpectedly. I always vomit if I drank a lil too much alcohol but I'm not wasted. Well, four mix Jameson + coke on rocks is not a lot wat. 1 thing for sure, I'm neither an alcohol addict nor a clubbing addict.

Felt damn sleepy after clubbin. Tat nite was reli funny, too bad the rest of the golfers nt ard. Patel kept asking Erica about what is the signal-to-noise ratio. Oh well, tat's Communication Systems quest. LoL!!

The next morning, I went Ipoh to do some shopping. I had lunch at Secret Recipe n I ordered Chicken Gordon Bleu. It was quite a disappointment. I expected it to be better but heck no! The chicken is kinda over-fried. Aww, I missed the western food in Fette's Park, Penang. The chick gordon bleu thr is superb!

I actually got two free tics to this Symphony Fest fr my junior so I decided to go wif my roomie. Tat is so kind of him!!! Thanx a lot man! If not because of the free tics, I might not even be going, was so tired after partying till so late, shopping for whole noon n had insufficient sleeping hours.

However, I'm glad tat I actually went. It was worth it, they make it even better than last year. The performances r so nice!!!!! The performance was so lengthy. It started ard 8:45pm & ended ard 12am, ard 3 hrs show.
