Esperanza's Visit

This last month has been a whirlwind of busy! Aside from trying to get back into the swing of school, and unpacking we've had family in town for almost the whole month of September! It has been SO fun, and we have all enjoyed it very much!

For Labor Day weekend Esperanza came in town for a few days. We got to play a lot with her and the Wilson gang and that was a party one of the fun things we did was hike the Y.  I hadn't done it since Devin and I were engaged, and we've never hiked with the kids so it was a new and learning experience for us! Chastity & Jon and their kids are avid hikers (thankfully!) so even though it was a steep hike they were all champs. 

Since I am pregnant no one would let me carry either of my kids up or down the mountain. I understand why, but I felt incredibly useless and silly while everyone else carried Lucy or screaming Cole up and down the hill!

 Cole only ever walked by himself while we were paused at a turn to rest. Other wise he was on Devin's shoulders.

Lucy walked a good portion of the way up. I was shocked. 

She kept insisting that she was a 'big girl' and could do it herself :) and she did. Chastity carried for the rest of the way up, bless her heart! Lucy is getting heavy and that slope is steep!

It was a blast! And am happy we went. I don't know that we will be doing it again anytime soon. But it was fun.
I was sad Esperanza's visit was so short. It was still nice to see her, and hopefully her Christmas visit will be longer! (hint, hint).  

Vernal (our final days)

The last few weeks in Vernal I felt like we were in a time warp! First we were a month away from moving and then all of the sudden we had a week left! It was crazy. I absolutely LOVED being in Vernal this summer. Yes, it was expensive and we only had a few friends, but the time we got to spend with Devin and as a family was priceless and I am glad we enjoyed it so much! (Because this year is not giving us much time with him). 

 Just showing this picture because Vernal had beautiful sunsets! We saw several red suns, and red moons! Just fun colorful skies in the evening. This particular picture was supposed to show how HUGE the sun was. But I had it on the wrong setting and just got the glare :) Trust me, the sun was incredibly big. 

 The last week got crazy with packing and cleaning. I had a friend watch the kids for a couple of mornings so I could have a couple of undisrupted hours to pack and clean stuff that couldn't have been done with them there. Lucy always had fun coming home to a new pile of boxes and would search drawers and cabinets to see what was gone. She enjoyed the packing thing a whole lot more than little man. He struggled and was not happy to see new boxes come out and stuff get put away. But even so, he was a great helper! 

 They helped me move all of the boxes from the pantry to the kitchen! I was amazed they could even push some of the over the carpet but they did. And I was very grateful to not have to :)

Tres Moss!!!

I'm 22 weeks today (a little over halfway). We had our 20 wk ultrasound on Monday. It is always SO fun to see the little one in there!  

"Little Baby Put Up Your Dukes"
First word says 'head'(aka big circle with white outline); then the little whiter globby things are the fists right in front of the face; and then you can see the legs sticking up below.

Little Baby was curled up in a ball the entire time! The technician had to sit for 5 mins waiting for the baby to move so she could get a better view of the heart...it never did. She just had to find another way. :) Haha, guess we're getting another willful child.

We feel so blessed to be adding another little one to our family, and are very excited to meet him/her!
