Christmas and such....

Now being the stressed out freak I was this year, I am sad to report these are all the pictures I took. Sorry, I kinda suck!

This year I decided to make the boys jammies, I was only going to make pants, but I couldn't stand the fact they didn't have shirts, so last minute we made these. They are their hand and foot prints. I wanted to make them all Rudolph, but Mase insisted on his being Prancer, so that it was. We were up at Mom and Dad's Christmas Eve, so we took the jammies up there and put them on, because we knew they would fall asleep on the way home.

McKay had no desire to be in the picture with his brothers, so this is what we got. I also made mine and Chris' but they were so big, we looked like we took the Subway challenge. And sadly didn't get any pictures of those. But I will give you a visual, mine came up all the way over my 26 week tummy and were not tight at all. Chris could have worn mine, and been just fine. And Chris' would have been big on Santa. Sad huh? But it did make me feel a little bit better, knowing Sarah made the same mistake last year.

Santa was good to the boys. They love their new remote control cars, and DS games. Chris and the boys got me an Ipod, and poor Chris was dealt the practical card, clothes. If it matters, I told him not to get me anything fun, that I just needed clothes, but as most of you know, he is hard of hearing, and apparently didn't listen.

Mom, Dad, Meg, Dean, Mikey, and Bridgett all came over for waffles and ham Christmas morning. Then we played the Wii forever, before going to see Disney's Bedtime Stories.

Mom and Dad's house had, or has, so much snow. The most they have ever had, so everyone got dressed all sorts of warm, and went out to play. Okay when I say everyone, I mean the men and kids. Seeing as how I am totally cheap, I will not buy a maternity coat, and mine won't zip up, I choose to stay in by the very warm fire!

Uncle Dean is just one of the kids, and being from Canada, he loves to play in the snow. He was itching to build a snow man, and that he did. It took Dean, Chris, and Kelly to lift those top two layer up, because they were so heavy. Bravo Uncle Dean, you won the hearts of the children this week! (mind you Dean is over 6 feet tall too)
Here is Chris and McKay sledding down mom's sidewalk. For those of you who have been to Mom's, Chris made the perfect path from the front door, all the way down to the shed. And the new sleds were a big hit!

The boys just had so much fun out there it was a great way to spend Christmas. It all ended with prime rib, and oven roasted potatoes. Thanks MOM!!! We had a great day, and we are so blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives. Thanks all and Happy New Year!

Christmas Insanity

For all those out there who are wondering where the treats that I promised them are, sorry to disappoint, but December has caught me off guard and there will probably be no treats. I just have not had the time, or the patients this year. But I am thinking of each and everyone of you, and I hope you have a wonderful week.

On the other hand....

This year I have felt the true meaning of Christmas more than ever. I am so grateful to all those who have helped me out this year. You have made it so much easier on me, and I thank my Heavenly Father every night for the wonderful people I am surrounded by. We all have our challenges in life, and I know that we have friends and family there to lift our burdens, even if just a little, to help us in our time of need. The Savior has done this for us and He wants us to help others if we can, and that is what this season is all about. So please know we love you and appreciate you and your sacrifices in this busy time in your lives.

Santa Claus Is Comin....

....to our house. And as you can see the boys are thrilled. He couldn't find Rudolph and was wondering if we had seen him. He hadn't been here, but Santa decided to stay a while, and see what the boys want for Christmas. He had some surprises in his sack for the boys too. They each got two candy canes, and a book.

Of course my un-shy one Cam was the only one who really wanted to sit on his lap, so he volunteered to be first. He did have a major brain-fart and forgot what he wanted, so Chris and I had to help remind him.

Mckay went last. He wanted nothing to do with Santa, until he got his surprises. And then he would actually talk to him, he is such a terd!
Mason was still a little reluctant, but he did it. Once he got up there his list got so much shorter, he only asked for one thing. And that will be nice on Santa's pocketbook.

We love when he stops by, it helps give them a little reminder that Santa is not far away, and that he is watching, and checking up on them.

Snow Day????

Last night about 10:45 Chris sent me a text and said school was cancelled for today. First I thought, NOOOOOO!!! And then I thought "Who in the world decided that 4 inches of snow is enough to cancel school?" Sure enough they did it! And I know all you people up north think they are neurotic, but hey, so do I! I mean Sarah's kids go to school in about 2 feet of it every day! I think someone just wanted a day off. Mind you I am not that mom who loves having all 3 kids home at the same time, especially when Chris has worked overnight and needs to sleep all day. So I am not the best person to ask!
But thanks to dad, we got all snow clothed and took advantage of it since Chris is sleeping, and I wanted to keep them quiet. They all loved it!

We, and when I say we, I mean I , made a snowman. My OCD took over, and I let them help, but was about to loose what little mind I have left, so I did most of it. I like to call him Morgan, isn't he cute?

They had fun though, and I am now "Mom of the Year" for helping build a snowman. And thanks to Grandpa all this was possible. So here is to a happy "Snow Day" to all. And also here here to school tomorrow (hopefully).

A White Christmas....

My In laws are leaving next weekend for Alabama for Christmas, so we won't see them like usual for the holiday, so we had Christmas early. We drove down early Sat morning, and were in for a busy day. First we went to Juj's ward Christmas party, in which she sang, and did a wonderful job I might add. Then we headed to Nana and Papa's house for lots of fun, and lots of treats. The boys had smores, and anything else you could possibly imagine.

Here is the wrap-up of the weekend.

The boys each made one or two gingerbread houses. (I didn't get a picture of Mason's awesome one, OOOPS!) Cam used so much frosting, the stuff was just sliding off, and McKay ate more candy than he put on. And yes I did most of the decorating on his, what can I say I love Christmas.

The boys are officially hooked up. They got so much stuff, as usual, the aunts and uncles really spoil them. Also Nana is doing the 12 days of Christmas for them, so they each get a little something each day. That also goes along with the chocolate they get each day from Grandma, so needless to say we are very busy every day with all the little extras.

On Saturday night we went to see some lights at Sunset Park, and then we went to Town Square, where they made it snow. The kids loved it! It was BUTT cold out though, and the snow was actually soapy bubbles, NASTY! But the kids loved it! It was a great time, but we are all still recuperating from all of the fun.

Just Wastin' Time...

I love winter time, because I think the boys look so handsome in their sweaters, and dress shirts. They just look so GQ.

Tonight is the Home Depot Christmas party, and they are so excited to have Grandma and Grandpa come and babysit, and so am I.

Chris and the boys went on a little hike yesterday, up Shanob Kibe, a mountain above our development. They had a ton of fun, and daddy says they didn't even complain too much. I stayed home to clean but I didn't get much done. I started watching a movie, and got sucked in, so I just sat around, it was quite nice.

Here they are climbing up. Chris was quite far behind because McKay insisted upon walking himself, the whole way up. He did well, but did have quite a few scratches when he got home.

Here they all are at the top!!! They were very excited that there was a sign in book at the top, so they all wrote their names in the book. Aren't they cute?

I have some of the greatest neighbors. Jeff and Erin Terry are our new backyard neighbors, and are so good to us. They had a thing to the training night at Red Robin, and invited us to go with them. It was great fun!! There is a lady in the ward that works there and she gave us a free appetizer card, and then we had our free dinner, and our waitress gave us a free dessert card. They also brought around some of their specialty drinks, and we got a smoothie, and a milkshake too. All for a $12 dollar tip. It was a great fat filled night. So here is my shout out to the Terry's. Thanks guys, YOU ROCK!!!

Then Chris and I went and saw the movie 4 Christmases, and since we were so full, we didn't even buy any treats. And then I have a free babysitter, so it was a very cheap date.

Thanks sugar, I needed it!

On Your Marks.....

I have now officially started my December baking. This is an Adams family tradition, we bake a TON, for the whole month. I love it. Last year I was so busy, with the Dickens Festival, and then I got strep throat, and so I didn't get any baking done. So this year I say.....BRING IT ON!!!

The boys helped me make these PB Blossoms. They love to help measure and dump ingredients. And they also got to roll them in the sugar. It makes me just about crazy to let them help, but they love it so I try to endure. Wish me luck!!!
And I thought these are about the best idea in the world. I love that i don't have to spend 20 minutes to unwrap all the dang Kisses. So thank you Hershey's!!!!!

Christmas has started.....

Even without my mom here, Christmas has begun. Now that Thanksgiving is over, I can get started on the real fun. I love Christmas!!!! It is great, and this year, we are trying to get back to the basics. I got these two trees three years ago at a wonderful sale Target had, and I spent a good $5.oo on both! Yeah it was a great sale. But anywho, we decided to "make due with what we have". The one tree looked homely in front of our huge window, so I decided to make a winter wonderland. I even went and found some old batting in my craft closet to make snow. All in all I saved about $50, that would be the cost of the real tree we usually get. So yes we are missing the smell of the real tree, the height of the real tree, and the fun of picking out the perfect one. BUT we are being good and having a much less expensive Christmas.

In my family we have decided that we need to use our talents and make our gifts to each other. I have Meg and Dean, and I am excited to get started on their gifts. We are also making the gifts for the nieces and nephews on the White side. I even got the boys big ticket items on Black Friday, for under $40 each. I was real pleased with that!!!

So now all I have to do is get my kids into the true spirit of Christmas. Any suggestions on how to do that would be fantastic.

Finally.....

Mason came running into my living room yesterday, where my mom and I were sitting, and he was jumping up and down so excited. He finally has a loose tooth. You would have thought it was Christmas morning. I couldn't stop laughing. Now he keeps asking when it is going to fall out, and how much money he is going to get. Chris told him he is only going to 25 cents. And his reply was "That's okay, when I loose all these teeth, I will have 60,000 cents."

I am so excited for my big kid, he has been very jealous of every other kid who is either older or younger, because they have lost teeth and he hasn't. So Mason....this is your time buddy!!!

We got our pictures done today. And these are just the few she did tonight. I am super excited, even though I protested about taking them in my current state. But I think they turned out great. ENJOY!!!!

Oh Happy Day Muk Muk!!!

I cant believe my little guy is two. Our little spit fire came to us a little earlier than expected, but I am glad. I was naughty and didn't finish taking my anti-biotics, and went into labor. So much for my scheduled date of Dec. 2nd.

He weighed in at a whopping 6 lbs. 15 ozs. He had to spend some time in the NICU for reasons I am still not sure of. Don't get me started! He came home from the hospital four days later, at 6 lbs. 2 ozs. He was so little I thought I was going to break him. He had some colic in the beginning, but after about four months, that was gone and we were on our way.

He didn't walk as soon as the other boys, but you wouldn't either if you had fabric embedded in your cornea. Two days after the surgery to remove it, he was up and walking. And hasn't stopped moving since. He is just full of personality, and attitude, but he is a wonderful little boy, most of the time, and we all love him very much.

Dear Santa,

This is a conversation between Mason and Camden after a big fight.

Cam: Your bossy!

Mase: No I am not.

Cam: I know what I am gonna ask Santa for. (all sassy like)

Mase: What?

Cam: A brother who isn't bossy.

Mase: Santa doesn't bring real brothers, he just brings toys.

What if Santa did bring real siblings? Who out there would have different ones? I know that there would have been a time or two that I would have asked for a new sister or maybe even two.

Wow they are crazy. But I do have to say I was dying laughing while I was upstairs listening to this go on downstairs.

On the other hand, have your kids started writing their wish lists yet? Mase has and he is asking for some crazy things. A lot of them don't cost a lot of money, so Santa might just be real excited. You know paying those Elves isn't cheap.

Totally Venting.....

Now this is something I have to say, it has been driving me crazy for about two weeks now, so I need to write it to get it off my chest. So here it goes.....

Yes I am having a boy! And yes I am fine with it. Like I said before, I know that I am blessed to get to have one of my Heavenly Fathers spirit children here in my home for me to raise. And yes there was a little disappointment in the beginning, for the fact that I was hoping for a girl, but I know that there is a plan for me, and that this is it. My boys are so blessed to have such a worthy example of the priesthood in their home. My husband is amazing, he goes above and beyond in every calling he has ever been given, he loves to serve the Lord and will never stray away from that, and that, I know, is why I keep having boys. It isn't because I am the greatest mother, or that I deserve to raise the future missionaries because I am better than anyone else. Not saying I am a bad mother, I have tried to teach my boys respect for others, and I have tried to teach them the best I can. And Chris is trying to teach them how to respect and honor women, just as his father did him. I love my boys, and even though the days are tough, and they give me a run for my money every day, I wouldn't trade them for anyone else, not even a sweet little girl.

Now that being said, I need to say this. Please stop asking me how I am handling this. There is nothing to handle, this is not a bad thing. It is very hard to think positive and look forward to what a wonderful thing that is going to happen here in my home in 20 weeks, when you are surrounded by negative. Now I know that you are not trying to hurt, and you are not trying to be negative, but I do not need your condolences. I need your positivity, love and support, and your congratulations.

This has been even harder on me this time around for the pure fact that I am stressed out to the max. My husband is never home, because he is out working his tail off for our family. My kids have been sick for a week, and that alone will just about kill a pregnant girl. We have a lot of stressers in our life right now and we are handling things the best we can. So I am sorry if my attitude toward this has offended anyone, but please try to stand in my shoes for just a minute, and think how you would handle things. But please understand, I am very grateful and very excited for my little Morgan to come join my CRAZY family.

It's Official.....

... I hate fall and winter, for the fact that germs are everywhere. I would be the only one in my family who has not been running to the bathroom every 10 min. I even got my first Flu Shot today. I can't imagine being pregnant and down with the stomach flu ,while taking care of four others. So if you want to stay healthy, STAY AWAY from my house for a while. I am doing all sorts of disinfecting, but who knows how successful that is.

Happy Halloween!

The White fam had a great Halloween. I helped with Mason's class party, and then sadly I spaced the parade at the school. I feel horrible, he said "We were supposed to wave at our families, but I just waved at Megan's." Yeah way to make your mom feel like crap!

We ate lots of candy and everyone got in the spooky spirit. Meg, Dean, Jaime, Kelly and kids all came and went trick-or-treating in our neighborhood, and we got hooked up on candy, plus have two giant bags left over. Yeah I am gonna be FAT!!! Here are some pictures from our day.

These are our pumpkins that we did as a family. Yeah our third time carving in one year.

On Sat. we went to a Fall carnival, at an old family friends ranch in New Harmony. There was food, games, prizes, and a rodeo. The kids had a blast, and got all hopped up on sugar (cotton candy, snow cones, funnel cakes, cookies, etc), as if Halloween wasn't enough. It was a great time for everyone. Thanks Hirshi's for a great day.

Morgan Callister White....

For some reason, I am destined to have boys. That is one thing I will never understand, but can't do anything about. He looks very healthy, and he is measuring four days bigger. So here is me hoping to be able to have him sooner. The boys took it well, a lot better than me, so thats good.

I hate to admit it, but I am having a very hard time. I will be fine, I have done this way to many times before. Thanks for all of your love and texts. You are awesome!

****I must add this before I sound to ungrateful. I am very happy to have this baby, boy or girl. I will love it, and take care of it, just as I have done with the other 3. I just need to adjust to what I have been told. I knew from the beginning, that this was probably a boy, but yes there was hope for a girl. I prayed just about everyday for understanding, and peace with whatever it may be, and I know that throughout the next few days I will handle it better and better, and that that peace will come.

As my poor Dad said to me earlier "You were my fourth girl, and as much as I wanted a boy, I would have never traded you for a boy." I know this will be my feelings here soon, because that is what I feel with my sweet little McKay. If he would have been a girl, I wouldn't have him.

I know I am blessed to even have children, and to know he is healthy is the greatest blessing of all. So please do not take me as ungrateful, greedy, or even bratty. I am excited to have another child, and I realize how blessed I am.

More Halloween Fun!

We decided, early Sat. morning, that we would go down to Vegas to visit the White side, and it turned out to be a ton of fun. Diane ended up planning a huge Halloween party for all the grand kids. It was great. Thanks Di & Chris, you are great!

These are all the big kids pumpkins. The last two are my boys, Cams is the one with the very large nose, and Mase's has a very crooked smile. All the kids drew on their own faces, and the grown ups cut them for them.
