I have this latest version (1.3.25) freshly installed on my Chromebook from the Play store and I notice two major problems. I'm using a host computer running Bazzite in Game (Big Picture) mode and also a computer running the latest update of Steam OS 3.9, also in Big Picture. I have not tried desktop mode. The same problems exist in both cases.

1. Using a long-press on the Back (select) button for session control interferes with games that rely on this button. For example, in Shadow Warrior 2, you long press ths button in order to teleport. In Darktide, you hold this button to display the mission briefing. I'm sure there are many more. I could find no way to change/rebind this default setting.

2. Inability to display the steam overlay menu and Quick Access menu on the client while a game is running. Therefore inability to get to Friends & Chat, voice calls, etc. I have even turned on Force Compositing in the developer options, but the overlay does not appear client-side while a game is open, though it does appear on the host computer. Imagine pressing the Xbox button while streaming, seeing no response, then having no idea if the overlay is focused or the game is focused. This makes the app borderline unusable since you cannot tell where your controller input is being directed.

I would love to see a fix or ways to work around these problems. I love the streaming solution otherwise. Thank you for your hard work!

You can change this by modifying the "Controller Overlay" value in the app streaming settings.

I'm seeing this when streaming from the Steam Deck as well, thanks for the report!

This is an issue with gamescope and will be fixed in a future SteamOS update. In the meantime, streaming in desktop mode should solve this.
Thanks for the response. I have tried desktop mode with the Bazzite host, but I saw only a black screen. Have not yet tried the SteamOS host in desktop mode.

I also noticed the absence on the "Streaming Mic" input on the Linux host that is available on Windows. So it seems that voice is not available over Steam Link with a Linux host. At least, I could not find a way to make it work.
Same here desktops shows a black screen and when using big picture inside desktop the main menus showed on the center of the screen and in gamescope it can't show performance overlay and menus like the layers of gamescope are separated
