Since getting this update, I’m now finding the Apple TV app always switches to 50HZ SDR when opening, It always used to respect the current settings of the Apple TV, so 60HZ HDR in my case. I can’t see any obvious setting to change this behaviour? Also, though I can’t be sure, it feels like it’s affecting gameplay input lag too.
Ios app after update doesn’t continue stream after minimizing the app or locking screen.

If you quickly go back connection continues, but after some time app freezes
Broken HDR after the update. As soon as app is opened signal is SDR, has nothing to do with the stream.

Of course you will get input lag if your framerate is 60 and client now is forces 50hz. Open detailed steam overlay, you'll see you're getting frame loss after the update. Limit fps to 50 until they fix it, it will fix your input lag.

It doesn't seem "improved audio resilience" is worth having the stream completely broken. šŸ™„
Steam link overheating my phone, how to fix it?
echoing what other people have been saying about HDR/SDR above: if i'm using 4k/60hz HDR or 4k/60hz Dolby Vision and i launch Steam Link it reverts to SDR. even just being on the initial screen triggers it.

Want to reiterate that this is indeed an issue.
I set apple tv video format to 4k60hz SDR, and steam link app just bulldozes over it with 50hz signal.

Has anyone received any confirmation about this issue from the powers that be or that a fix is incoming?

Edit: PC monitor is set to 60hz, all client/host Remote Play settings set to auto. So afaik I'm not introducing 50hz on purpose

Edit Edit: For what it's worth, some combination of re-installing the app and restarting the apple TV, disabling gsync on my primary pc monitor (even though it was forced to 60hz) and using rtss to lock fps to 60; seems to have solved the issue.
Couldn't be bothered to figure out exactly what was wrong. Cheers
Unable to connect to my pc since today. Says ā€œunable to connect to ā€œadressā€ with port 27031

Any advices to fix? Temporarily cant play games any other way on steam…
Hey there team, thanks for all your hard work on this incredibly valuable app. I have an issue related to HDR that I can’t find described elsewhere.

My setup:
PC with HDR enabled
iPad on latest OS with Steam Link app v1.3.18

iPad is connected directly to HDR-capable TV via USB-C to HDMI.

The TV display looks like HDR is enabled twice — colors are way too bright, almost washed out. Only way to fix it is by disabling HDR in Windows display settings on the host PC, which requires a bit of navigation that’d I’d rather not have to manage every time I want to connect.

Is there any way this can be addressed so that HDR is managed properly on the Steam side?

Thanks!
