Awesome News
So yesterday my mentor from school called and told me what might have been the best news ever! She informed me that the passing score on the Algebra/Statistics test was being lowered, and because I only missed passing by one point according to the current passing score, that my test score would now be considered passing!! I really thought it was to good to be true, so today I asked her again if it was true and she assured me that it was and that I am finished with that course!! I am so excited not to have to take that awful test again, and I now get to move on to another course!

Happy Birthday to ME!
For some reason I wasn't very excited for my birthday this year. I think everyone has that birthday where they start feeling old, and I think that's what this one was for me. Now, I know I'm only 24, but for some reason I just feel like I'm getting really old and I feel like I haven't accomplished as much as I would have liked to by this age.
So anyhow, I was kind of a basket case and I kind of just wanted to pretend that it wasn't by birthday. (I know pathetic) Lucky for me I have lots of great family and friends who called and sent cards that cheered up my day. I also happen to have the BEST husband ever who understands me and knew exactly how to turn my day and attitude back around. After he came home from work he took me out to dinner at the Olive Garden, surprised me with a gift certificate to the Spa that includes a 60 minute massage, 60 minute sauna session or tub soak, beverages, a bouquet of roses (that I'll get to take home), chocolate-dipped strawberries, AND it's all for two people! So naturally I'm trying to convince him that he should be the one to go with me, because what better way to spend a relaxing day getting pampered than with your best friend! Of course his intentions were that I could have a fun girls day, but I kind of like the idea of going with him more. So I'm asking you what you would rather do: 1-Go with your husband for a romantic spa day or 2-Go with a girlfriend?
Okay so back to my birthday date, after we had dinner we headed back home for a quiet movie night. We pulled out our big love sack into the family room, curled up with each other, ate ice cream, and watched our movie. It was such a great night and it turned out to be a great birthday after all. I got so lucky marrying Steven and I totally don't deserve him. He is such a great husband and is truly my best friend! Thanks Steven for the awesome birthday date and gift. I love you and I can't wait to go to the Spa with you!! :)

Random Updates
I first have to publicly wish a few family members belated birthday's. On February 3rd our niece Gracee turned 4 and my Grandpa Wilson celebrated a birthday on the 22nd! Sorry we weren't there to celebrate with you!
Next on February 27th the show Ideal Husband opened at IU, in which Steven was the master carpenter for. He did an awesome job and the set looked amazing. It was a funny play and we had a great time having a date night out with friends.
The morning after the play on the 28th Steven left for Chicago with a few other students to go tour a theater there. This was his first trip to Chicago, and he only got to spend one day and night there before coming home early the next day so he didn't get to see a whole lot of the city. I've been pestering him that we should go spend the weekend there, because it's only 4 hours away!! Maybe someday.
In other news Steven has officially been offered and has accepted a summer position to be the Assistant Technical Director at the Brown County Playhouse (it's in Nashvillle, IN about 30 min away). I'm so excited for him and also for the fact that he will be home for the summer! He had been offered other positions in other states which would have taken him away all summer, so I'm very excited he's staying home.
As for me I am almost done with my first term at WGU. I actually just turned in my last assignment today for this term and now I just have to retake my Algebra/Statistics test! Yes, I have to retake the stupid thing, because I failed it by ONE point! Let's hope I pass this time, because otherwise I might be boycotting the rest of my schooling! Other than that though my other classes have been going well, and I can almost see the finish line. I will be so relieved when I'm done and have my degree in hand!
I apologize that this is getting rather lengthy, I promise I'm almost done.
I just have to post a few things about Rosco. He is now 10 months old, and becoming such a good dog....most days. He measures 3 feet long, 22 inches high when standing on all 4's and 4 feet high when he stands on his back legs. He has been learning to fetch, walk by our side, stay, turn around, and we are still batteling with him to stay off the couch! We have also been trying to break him of the habit of DIGGING!! We are continually patching up holes in our backyard. So if anyone has any ideas on how to stop dogs from digging, we are all ears! To the side is a random pic of Steven and Rosco. Steven likes to pick him up like a baby and Rosco just doesn't know what to do when he does it.
If you are still reading the last thing we have to post is that we bought our plane tickets to come home! We will be making our annual trip home to Utah this May. We will be flying in on the 5th and flying out on the 19th! We are so excited and can't wait to see everybody!!

Belated Valentines
I had to work this year on Valentines, but what else is new. So Steven and I had decided not to do anything because I worked and we were just to busy. Well if any of you know us we have done this same thing multiple times on other occasions, and I stick to the plan agreed upon, but Steven doesn't and I end up looking like a complete fool who didn't get her husband anything. So this time I knew that Steven really was going to stick to the agreement, so I decided I wouldn't! It wasn't anything to spectacular I just tracked down his truck on campus and filled it with balloons and candy (I know kind of reminds you of the high school years). Anyhow, then I did the same thing to our bed with a card resting on his gift, which he didn't get at first. His gift was a new pillow, because he's been complaining about ours for a long time now (I know how romantic...we are practical people!) Needless to say he was completely surprised and for once I wasn't the fool. :) Hope you all had a Happy Valentine's Day!
