Emma's hair is getting long and when we have free time on Saturdays I like to try out new hairstyles. Thank goodness for phones with games and Netflix on them that keep her entertained and sitting still long enough for me to play around with her hair!

Sweet Lando

Landon is just a mellow baby for the most part and he was just chillin in his bouncer today. 

 Had to get a cute of these cute feet. You can also see his red eczema patches in between his ankle folds. 

 Love his sweet demeanor. 

Landon at 6 Months

Wow the last 6 months since this little boy joined our family have gone by SO fast! Is it just me or does the time seem to go by faster the more kids you have!? I feel like I never get enough time in a day to snuggle him and savor his baby-ness. He is just growing to fast and I want to keep him little!
 

Anyhow, here is the monthly update about our Landon boy at 6 months old.

Happy Half Birthday Landon!!

He is still nursing once during the night and needing his pacifier put back in several other times during the night. He is usually in bed by 8:30/9 and wide awake by 6, although we have been trying really hard to get him to stay in his crib until at least 7 even if he is just in there talking and playing with his feet.

He still takes 3 naps a day varying in length, and is good at putting himself to sleep as long as he has his binky and blanket. 

Feedings remain the same at 8-12-4-8 and he is still taking 6 ounces or nursing for 15 min. About two weeks ago we started feeding him baby food and he LOVES it! So far he has tried avocado, squash, sweet potato, apple, pear, and carrots along with rice cereal. He seems to have liked all of them, but he seems to especially enjoy the fruits or sweeter ones. He must take after his mama. The drawback of feeding him foods now though is that he still spits up quite a bit, and when he spits up his baby food it stains everything!

He is unable to sit on his own without falling over yet and still hasn't rolled over. I feel like this is partially our fault because we put him in his bouncer a lot instead of lying him flat on the ground because he spits up less that way. We are also really bad about doing belly time with him, again because he hates it and almost always spits up. Honestly I'm okay with him staying stationary for now.

He continues to be a pretty mellow baby and is happy unless he is hungry, tired, or thinks he's alone. As long as he can see somebody he's happy. He has figured out the jumperoo in the last week or two and seems to enjoy jumping in it. 

He is really ticklish on his collarbones, sides, and thighs and has the cutest smile and laugh. Seriously I can't get enough of his big chubby cheeks when he smiles, and I'm constantly kissing on them. He is also starting to coo and talk more which I love.

He likes to play with my hair and touch my face. 

He's wearing 6-9 month clothes and size 3 diapers, but is about ready to move up in sizes I think. 

His favorite toys are his little elephant (loves to eat the trunk), any rings or teethers, squishy cubes that make sound and his glowing seahorse.

He has also gotten better about being in his car seat and will even stay in it for awhile at church without crying. 

Well that's our boy at 6 months. He will have his 6 month check up on the 19th of February and we'll get all his stats.

Return of the Fish

Steven has been talking about setting up our fish tank for awhile now and today he finally decided to go for it. I have been opposed to the idea, because although I loved watching the fish we had a lont time ago I hated cleaning the tank. So we agreed that if I didn't have to be responsible for any of the fish care he could set it up! He took Mason and Emma with him to Petsmart to get all the stuff we needed and $200 later they came home with a fish habitat and a few fish to get the tank started. Steven let them each pick a few things to go in the tank, Emma picked a pink castle, pink plant, and a treasure chest while Mason picked a green plant, a turtle and an army plane. Basically the tank got set up with each of them having their own half. They are so excited about it!

Tummy Time & Smiles

I think I've mentioned it before, but Landon is not a huge fan of tummy time, but I still try to make him do it occasionally. Today he was actually tolerating it longer than usual and even gave me a few smiles. 

Of course you can't pull out the camera to take pictures of one kid without taking a picture of the other. So here is a picture of my sweet Emma girl. The three of us have just been hanging out this morning while Mason is at preschool. 

Sleepy Baby, Happy Baby

Yesterday I snuck in to peek at my sweet sleepy baby and had to take a picture of him with his leg out. He is just like his daddy and has to have his feet out when he sleeps.

Today he was just so full of smiles and giggles I couldn't stop taking pictures.

Phone Selfies

Couldn't believe I actually got a picture on my phone with both of them smiling! Mason was on the other end of the couch not wanting to be a part of our "selfie". Love my babies. 

This was a selfie that Steven took of him and Landon and sent it to me the other night when I had to work late. 

Rosco vs. Cat

My friend and neighbor recently acquired a couple cats from a family member and this black one that you can barely see in the picture likes to taunt Rosco. I was laughing cause they looked like they were having a stand off, good thing the glass door was between them! 

So Content

Just thought I would take a quick picture of our content little boy. He really is such a good baby and is generally so content just to lay here and play with his toys as long as he can see somebody around him. I love that he is so low maintenance when I have the other two that demand so much attention. 

January Art Projects

Each week at preschool Mason has been practicing a letter of the alphabet and today it was M. I thought it was cute that he wrote his own name plus Emma's at the top of the page.

Landon's First Food

On somewhat of a whim I decided to mash up an avocado and feed it to Landon. This is officially his first time having any food. I'm not really sure what he thought about it, but he did seem to like it, despite some of the faces he pulled!

Throwback to Grandpa Wilson

My parents brought up this cute little yellow jacket for Landon to wear. It was my father's when he was a baby! Today I finally decided to try it on him to see if it would fit and although it's still a little big and the sleeves are to long, but overall it fit okay. I'm still waiting on my parents to find a picture of my dad wearing this so that I can do a comparison!

Snow Day

We have had an unseasonably mild winter this year which has been a real bummer for Mason who LOVES to play in the snow and shovel the driveway! Of course I had made sure this year that all the kids were outfitted with snow gear, most of which I got second-hand for a steal of deal, but regardless they really haven't been able to use any of it. So when we woke up to lots of snow today I couldn't pass up the chance to let the kids get outside to play in it, cause who knows when we will have this much snow again.

Landon was napping while we were outside playing this morning so I got to go out and play with them too. We attempted to make a snowman, but it really wasn't the right kind of snow and we couldn't get it to stick together so we just gave up. We still had a lot of fun though. 

Emma on Upstart

Mason has been participating in Utah's online preschool program called Upstart where he does 15-20 minutes  a day on the program 5 days a week. He actually enjoys doing it and usually reminds us that he needs to do it each day, and I think he has been learning a lot from it. Of course Emma loves to do whatever her big brother does and has been very interested in the program as well. Really I think she just wants to be able to use the computer like him, but in any case we had her added to the program so that she can use it now too. Right now it is obviously a novelty for her so she likes doing it. She does have a hard time manipulating the mouse with her small hands though which has made it a little frustrating for her, but she does understand the concepts of the program thus far which I find impressive. She is a smart little cookie and we are now seriously debating if we should sign her up for preschool in the fall.
