Behind.....

I am behind, but I have good reason.... Both boys have been sick with flu/colds/acid reflux?I know which one is it! I would like to know myself!!!! Ah well, Here are the boys on Halloween!

6 Years.... and 5 years!

Confused by the title of this blog? Well Saturday was Chris and my 6 Year anniversary, I woke up that day remembering exactly how the day went, I woke up that morning 6 years ago not at all nervous, I just tried to relax. We didnt get married until 3 in the afternoon so I had some time to kill. One of my oldest friends was in town and stayed the night with me and helped me get ready. ( I heard later that Chris went Skateboarding, something that made me very nervous because if anyone knows my husband knows that he is completely accident prone...) I got to the church and finished getting ready and took my bridals. Then before I knew it, it was time for us to be married!

Then One year later We blessed our little boy and the next morning we went to the St George Temple and were sealed together for eternity forever. It was such a special time for us. I know the statistics are not very good when a couple gets married outside of the temple and we knew that it was important. It is such a blessing to have the temple and the promises we made that day. It was also very special to have Duncan there, It would have been better to have been sealed first, but it was so special to have him brought in and us to be sealed to him as well. 

Chris I love you so much and am grateful to have you as my husband, and best friend.

Time sure does fly

As I was looking through some old photos today I sit here and think where has the time gone? I can not believe that I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old. They have gotten so big and I can even remember what it was like before them.  I always say that I want a little girl, and someday I do, but There is nothing like a mom and her boys!

Duncan the day he came home from the hospital. He is 3 weeks old here and was only 4lbs 9oz when he came home, So I know he was not the cutest little guy (though I sure thought he was) cause he had no fat on him at all!

Is it just me....

Ok I dont know if it is school or his age but Duncan has been having this funky attitude lately... I will tell him to do something and he will look at me and say ummm if you dont let me do this then I wont do what you are asking me to. Or if he is watching cartoons and dinner is ready he will pause it (thank you DVR) and say mom you cant change it cause its paused for a reason. I am left with my mouth gaping open like what did he just say to me. He has NEVER done anything like this before and its driving me crazy!!! Please someone tell me I am not alone and tell me it will get better... (wishful thinking) Please can I go back to the days when he was a precious little baby, and couldnt talk back to me? Please? In other news, Beckham is now Talking like crazy and is running around the house after me saying, "mom, Oh my gosh, Are you kidding me?" to which I look at him and say, "what?" and he just laughs and runs away! Oh the things he says! 

Oh Dear how I have let my blogging slip!

I know what you all must be thinking... There must be an error she COULDN'T possibly be updating this thing!!! Ok so last time a updated I talked about my dress and losing some weight... Well The event happened last weekend... Steven Got married to an amazing girl who I am so happy to say she is my new sister! I did lose the weight BUT... I have another wedding in December to attend and couldn't afford two dresses, and I have something specific to wear in the December one... well because the wedding is for my younger sister Danielle!!! We are so excited for her, and we love Jordan (her fiance) We have had 2 engagements, 2 birthdays, 1 wedding, a new job and school start for Duncan and Chris since the last time I updated! Beckham turned 2 and he is so funny! He talks and mimics everything Duncan does! His latest and most funny thing he walks around and says is, "oh my gosh... are you kidding me?" He is so funny... Duncans birthday we did a Cowboy theme... it was a blast, we had little stations with stick horses and gold panning, a watering hole, target practice and a jail! He also started school about a week after his birthday, He is doing so great and loves it! He comes home and tells us everything he learned that day! Chris also started school and is taking 9 units and and is keeping busy. I started my new job and love that also, I love working at the school with the same schedule as Duncan and being there when he is done with school. We just got back from California for Steven and Abby's wedding, It was lovely and great to see lots of friend and family who we missed so much! We also got a little vacation and went down south to Disneyland for 2 days. It was of course a blast and even more now because both a Duncan and Beckham got to go on most of the rides! They both loved it! Not to mention the both of us loved it as well!!! I have a few pictures so enjoy what a I do have and hopefully I can keep up on this thing better! Our Anniversary is coming up and my Birthday is also coming up though I refuse to divulge what my age will be...

Striking up a Deal!

So Chris and I have struck up a deal, For a little while I have wanted to finally get to work and lose the rest of the weight I gained after I stopped nursing. To give me some incentive, There may or may not be a special event happening in our family the end of Sept, SO... Our deal is I have to lose 15 pounds to be able to buy this dress! I love shabby apple and lets face it it is not the cheapest either. So some motivation may be needed from time to time please feel free to give advice and motivation! Oh and if I lose 5 more on top of the 15 I get new shoes to go with it!! Wish me luck....

So My parents and Uncle have turned Chris and I on to these new gardens. I have been feeling down about not being able to do a garden given the fact that we live in an apartment and now we can! Not just that it grows like 3 times faster then if we planted them! Check out the site!

Womens Conference/ Girls Week

This year the girls in my family decided to go to Women's conference at BYU this year. It came at a great time, we all really needed time to get together and spend girl time together. Mom and Dee went up on Friday and and found an apartment for Dee to live in. On Monday Becca and I drove up some of Dees things and met them in Salt Lake. Mom had rented a condo for us to stay in. We went shopping and just had a blast. On Wed. Autumn flew in and we took some pictures of us girls, My cousin Jessica took them and did awesome! Then on Thursday we woke up really early and made it down to Provo with ease (minus some small hiccups) We enjoyed so many classes including one on marriage. We an amazing couple teach the class. Brother and Sister Larsen, the class was called Eternal Marriage if you want it to last forever you treat it different.  Brother Larsen gave us an analogy saying that men have boxes in their brain. They can only have one box out at a time and we as women need to be understanding in the sense that it takes time for them to put the one box away and pull another one out. Women have wires that cross and they are driven by emotions. so we can think about multiple things all at once. They had some great quotes,

Thursday night there was a concert, hosted by Kirby Heybourne, He sang then David Osmond sang, we also got to hear Hillary Weeks, Josh Wright, Jenny Oaks Baker, and Vocal Point. It was so great and you could feel the spirit so strong. It was an amazing trip and we had so much fun. I hope it becomes a yearly tradition.

Easter 2011

For once I am actually early in posting! We celebrated Easter a week early this year because Easter weekend my mom and sister were going to be out of town, and the following weekend My mom, 3 sisters and I are going to be out of town for a girls weekend and going to womens conferance. So we woke up early Saturday and went to see what the Easter bunny had brought!
I had to work for part of the day so we went to my moms house for dinner and an Easter egg hunt. This is the first year that Beckham really got into it. He loved the little plastic eggs, but hated touching the real eggs. The boys loved it and loved the candy even more!

Lots of goings on, but not alot to show for it....

Well about 3 days after we got home from disneyland, we were just getting back into our routine here at home when we got a phone call letting us know that my grandma had passed away. It was very sudden and not at all expected. Naturally My mom and I hopped in the car the next morning and went to Fresno to get things started as far as funeral arrangements. I feel very blessed to have gotten to see her the week before when we were in California. I also feel very blessed to have such an understanding boss who ended up letting me take almost a month off. 10 days scheduled for my vacation and then 3 days later I took 10 more days off for the time I was in California for the Funeral.
Following our return I got extremely sick and then had to take an additional week off. I had to go on a steroid and antibiotic. I am chalking it up to stress. I have since recovered, mostly still have a lingering cough. The Kids were champs the whole time we were there as I am sure they were tired of traveling having spent almost 40 hours in the car in 20 days time. I do have to say it was nice to get home and start the routine again.
Duncan was registered for Kindergarten on the 24th. We went in to fill out some papers and when I was finished he told me I needed to leave so he could start school... to which I informed him he was not going to start school that day but in a few months to which he started to cry cause he wanted to start! At least I know the first day of school will be a breeze...(for him...)
Beckham is starting to talk a lot more now. He has learned little bits of sign language which helps. I dont think he is slow but compaired to Duncan he probably cant get a word in edge wise!
Chris is working and enjoying that. I am so lucky to have a husband work a job that he loves. He loves working with troubled youth (It amazes me how much patience he has cause I could never do it). He did have sort of a funny (well maybe not at the time) experience a couple of weeks ago. He was driving home from work around 10:30 pm and he was pulled over by a police officer, This is not that uncommon as he still has California plates and that here is like a moth to a flame. When the police man came up to the door, he asked Chris for his license and all that, Chris gave it to him and then he asked for his social security number and asked him to show him his left side of his body. (by this time Chris knew there was something not right about this stop.) 
He told the police officer his number and showed him his side, then Chris asked why he was doing all this and if there was a problem? He was then told that a man in California named Chris Walker had murdered his wife and has not been caught!!! They then prodeeded to hold him there in his car for an hour and a half, He couldnt call me and couldnt answer when I called ( cause naturally I was worried as he was an hour and a half late) Eventually they proved he wasnt the right man and let him go...
 I guess we have all the luck!
Then the following week I was in a car accident where a lady hit my drivers side front end of my car, (her fault) and because it was in a parking lot they couldnt take a police report so her insurance is refusing to pay for my damages, I cant drive my car until it is fixed so we are having to fork out the deductable until our Insurance can recover the money from there insurance company!
With all the trails we have had in the last two months I am hoping that there is a purpose to all of it. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and my family and I know that he feels my pain and is helping us through it! Sorry I have no pictures to show for our time but as you can imagine its been a bit hectic around here!

Sick.....

Why is it that I never used to get sick, never, and now all of a sudden I have been deathly sick twice in the last month and super sick like 5 times in the last 6 months! I hate it and it seems like its never going to end! Then on top of it Beckham gets sick and when this poor kid gets sick he gets like so sick he has to have inhalers and all kinds of horrible things! Someone please pray for my little family and that we will make it through this weekend!

Grandma...

On Wed. We got a phone call saying that my Grandma had passed unexpectedly,
I love my grandma so much and am going to miss her, She was s full of life and you would never doubt how much she loved you. She loved my boys so much, I will miss her...
Duncan took the news like a champ! Kids defiantly have a better understanding of how things work. We told him that Great Grandma was in Heaven with Heavenly Father, and he just said well thats a little sad, but happy too!
