Holy Ghost Tent Revival

Downtown by the Durham Bulls Baseball stadium there is a really fun area called the American Tobacco District. Its a bunch of converted factories and warehouses with restaurants and stuff. During the summer they have outdoor movies and free concerts. We went to the free concert last Friday. It was a bluegrass/rock band called Holy Ghost Tent Revival. They are from Greensboro, NC. It was loud, but fun.

Burlington City Park

We are taking advantage of Dan's flexible schedule this year and trying to find fun things to do in North Carolina. Last week we discovered Burlington City Park. It is about a 45 minute drive from here, but it was worth it. They have 5 different rides
for kids and the day we went it only cost fifty cents per ride. They also have a huge playground and lots of picnic tables. Parker loved it...I think we will be going back soon.

Update...another creative title!

Ethan had a doctor's appointment on Monday. His 5 1/2 week stats are as follows: 11 1/2 pounds, 23 inches long. He must have a long torso because even some of his 3 month old outfits are getting too tight. He continues to sleep well. He is starting to smile and it is so cute. We couldn't decide who he looked like so we took some pictures...




It is still up for debate. I think he looks a lot like Parker which means he looks a lot like Dan, but I see myself in Ethan more than I did with Parker. I guess time will tell...

Parker loves playing at the pond by our apartment. There is a little dock that he likes to "fish" off of.

Parker continues to narrate life which cracks me up. He also loves to pretend. Some days he is a dinosaur and today he is Fluffy the cat. He absorbs everything. The other day after watching Finding Nemo he kept saying that he has short term memory loss (like Dory).

Needless to say, our sweet little boys keep us busy and entertained and we could not love them more. Dan finished up his 2nd year of medical school last week and pretty much rocked it. Now he just needs to figure out what specialty he wants to do. :) His 3rd year is going to be more relaxed so we are all looking forward to it. As for me, I am enjoying life with 2 kids. It hasn't been as bad as I thought which usually works out when you have low expectations. :) I feel great and will hopefully get into a good routine in the upcoming weeks. I am feeling the need to sew again and have some fabric that really needs to be made into something cute so there will be some sewing in my near future.
