Sand and Sea!

THE BEACH IS AWESOME, MAN!

Went to Sentosa after a long, long time with my dearest sis, love and friends.

AND AFTER GOING TO THE BEACH FOR SO MANY TIMES I'VE ACHIEVED THE THING I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO ON A BEACH!

.....

Catch a live crab.

Hahaha!

I wished Syafiq had a dip though.... so poor thing of him to stay with our stuff most of the time :( and that Dinah didn't have to leave so early!

Hmmmm... they kinda look good together. Hehehe :P

Played beach football with some guys from Denmark too. Awesome time...but damn, being around good-looking people isn't good for me...

On another note, it's f-ing annoying how dry my contact lenses get sometimes....grrrrr!

Well, won't be going to the beach for a long, long time again!

I'LL BE BACK, BEACH! (lol)

P.S: Dear Maldives, I will be there with you. I swear. :D

How To Make A Brain Bomb

What you need: A fully-functional, average-sized human brain.

1) Add "fear of the unknown" due to not knowing what to expect from here on out, having just passed out as a sergeant and bearing responsibility for a platoon of men.

2) Add "sadness" due to leaving my 33 brothers from Rota 2.

3) Add "missing the old times" due to 5.5 months of going through thick and thin with my buddies... sticking by each other's side, sweating, suffering and pushing each other to succeed. And look where we are now. But the pain is that.... everything back then are now just memories. We can never be "Rota 2" again... going through all that shite together all over again. :,(

4) Add "unjustified frustration" due to selfishness and disappointment.

5) Add "lingering guilt" from having acted in a childish manner.

Voila. There you go. An explosive waiting to blow your head wide open.

It's funny how I've always complained that I'm always numb and without emotion and now I feel so many at one time.

You can't say Allah hasn't answered your prayers now, can you? :)

6) Add "overwhelming feeling of helplessness" due to being unable to do something you always want to do every single second of your life. In my case, it's making you happy and making you smile. Baby, I swear sometimes it could drive me insane not knowing what to do or what's wrong and what I can do to help anyway at all. Sometimes it hurts that all you can do is pray.

Maybe In My Locker?

Sometimes, I feel like I've lost my humanity.

Where is it?

Where the bloody hell is it...

Seriously.

I'm passing out next week. 5.5 months of hell and back are over.
But I'm like ..... "erm, yeah okay."

The wonderful month of Ramadhan is soon upon us.
But again I'm like "erm, yeah okay."

And other small stuff...

The little burst hose during the ship firefighting exercise. I just stared at my friend struggling with it. No feeling of wanting to help or anything. The me from months ago would've dashed to his aid.

The old man yesterday struggling with some stuff he collected (I guess he's a hoarder). He was trying to get into the lift. I just got off a lift. I simply walked away without any feeling or desire to assist the poor old man. Again, the old me would've lent him a hand.

But then again, I feel guilty now...
So is my humanity still here with me after all?

But why does it sorta go away at times? :(

Ya Allah, perhaps I am a fool to have not sought your guidance and assistance earlier. Please forgive me, O' Most Merciful and Most Forgiving.

Old Facebook Status.

My darling Nadhirah,

Oh, the crazy things I'd do...

Just to see your beautiful smile.

I love you, baby :)

With every bit of my heart.

World's Scariest Story

Oh man...

I just read an excerpt of, what I think, is the most scariest story ever.

If I were to read the full story, I would be haunted and driven insane. Guaranteed.
And I'm not exaggerating or kidding.

Worst of all, it's all based on a true story.

Man, I can't sleep...

But I feel like doing something stupid...

Let's give it a shot. :)

"Chronosphere Activated."

If there's anything I've learnt from my field exercises, final exercises and on some weekends is that, sometimes you can plan for something, but when it's time to execute, things can go in a completely new direction.

As a result, any plans you've made, no matter how meticulously, can go to shite.

After which, you'd better come up with Plan B quick.

Another thing I've learnt about planning stuff is that it can make you pretty stiff and narrow-minded. It closes your mind up to the possibilities and it makes you too focused on what you attempt to foresee.

Which leads to a common cause of of cock-ups: Assumption.

When planning, you will be lulled into a dangerous state of mind where you assume that the conditions will go exactly the way it would in your plan.

The truth is, things can move in any direction and in a split second, things can change drastically.

Which leads to a common cause of heartache: Anticipation.

When you wait for stuff to happen, for example, outings, movie releases, events etc, especially if you've been waiting for a long time, you anticipate and you count on those events to take place.

When eventually the date arrives and the thing you wait so long for doesn't happen, it can cause a lot of pain.

Learn from it, boy.

As humble servants of Allah S.W.T, the Most Gracious and All-Knowing, we are powerless in changing our fates for which He has predetermined. To what extent we have control over our fates will remain a mystery for now, but we, children of Adam, have been given intelligence and will to plan for the future and make choices. And that's about it. What happens after that is all in the hands of the Almighty, and every event in each person's life happens for a reason. The reason? Allahu A'lam. Surrender yourself to Him, have faith and perhaps, the answer will be clear to you one day, insya'allah.

Die-Lemma.

After so many years, searching high and low, trying different styles and methods,

I've stumbled upon it and now...

I already know where the answer lies.
What is the best solution.
The cure.
The fix.

But it comes with a massive weight on my heart and mind.

The opportune time to undertake it approaches...

So what do I do?

Am I supposed to make my heart and mind stronger to support the load,
OR
go back to square one and find an easier way?

Oh...

But square one is such a terrible place.

You know what it's like?

It's like you have cancer on your arms or something and the only way to prevent your slow and gradual demise is to have them amputated.

Problem solved. But now a dump truck drives over and unloads a fresh, steaming pile of shite for you to sort out.

Do I want to sort it out?
Honestly, hell no.
But do I want to stay this way?
Oh hellllllll naw.

So I guess it's back to the old saying, Danny Boy.
Like good ol' WO2 Ramle would say (or scream),

NO PAIN, NO GAIN!

Ya Allah, light up my path and guide my actions so that I may make the best decision.
