UPDATE: Just so I don't confuse anyone...this post is a few months past due....
I just can't believe that my little Tyler is 5 now, where has the time gone? He is growing up so fast. Many days I look at him and think, "Weren't you just doing the army crawl around the house and kicking your feet super fast?"
Tyler is so curious about everything. He is definitely on track to be just like his daddy and be an Engineer of some sort. He still has a major obsession with all things Nintendo Wii. He is SO good at playing pretty much any game on the Wii that when other kids his age come over I forget that they won't necessarily be able to play with out quite a bit of coaching. He doesn't quite understand this, and gets frustrated, or just says "How about I just show you something!" (This is his way of saying "Since you can't keep up with me, why don't you just watch."). He is finally starting to eat better, and be more willing to try new things. We think it is rather odd that he usually has no problem trying some new Asian dish that has quite a strong and unique taste, but won't eat a simple All American hot dog or some simple casserole I've made. Oh well, at least there is progress! He has developed a little sass/attitude and isn't all roses all the time, but we get past those moments when he makes us laugh with his humor. His favorite color is still green. He still won't drink plain milk, it has to be chocolate milk. TV shows he likes to watch are Wild Kratts, The Electric Company, Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman, and he also loves Minute to Win It and The Amazing Race. He loves to sing, and I can see a lot of talent in him when it comes to music. He absolutely adores his little sister, and she adores him. His best friend right now is Liam L., who is in his preschool class. These two boys are complete monkeys around each other and have so much fun together.
This year he wanted to have a "Minute to Win It" birthday party. So he and Jack came up with a few of their favorite games from the show and adapted them to work for 5 year olds. We sure had a lot of fun, and I think the kids did too.

In this game you place a cookie on your forehead and try to wiggle it to your mouth with out hands and with out it falling off. This game is played often at our house with anything from cookies, crackers, to pancakes. Its pretty fun, you should really try it sometime!
Another game they played was Jingle in the Trunk....I'll just let you watch the video to figure it out.
The gifts he got this year were a new VTech MobiGo from mom and dad, Don't Spill the Beans game, Goop from Ben10, and his very first set of Lego's (which started a whole new obsession in this house...dad included)
