Move in- 9/22/2011!!!

We LOVE our new home! It was fun to see yet another home transformation from dirt to finish. We like to consider our selves "Pro's" now, since this was the third home we built. We are so blessed to be able to have such a nice home, in such a nice area. We have loved every second of our time here in Denver, and hope to make it our long term home....finally. We definitely feel this is where we are supposed to be at this time in our lives. We are slowly having neighbors move in and the kids have already found a new friend, a 7 yr old boy who lives next door. We can't wait to have visitors, so come take a trip to the beautiful Rockies!

September

We had a pretty uneventful start to September. We really just spent it packing up the apartment and getting ready for our move. Katy really began to walk....er uh, practically run, at the beginning of September. Once she really got the hang of walking she didn't stop, she was (and is still) constantly walking around the apartment! She also went from about 4 teeth to 8 in just a couple months around that time.....*yawn* yes, mom was up a lot at night with the teething baby girl.

 Katy loves playing right along with the boys. She was helping them do a little construction work this day, safety first!

September was also the end point of me working out with a personal trainer. In may i had gotten to the point where I KNEW something needed to change in my health so I hired a friend from church who is an awesome personal trainer to kick my butt! And she did! After 9 weeks of working out and fixing my diet to a healthier one I lost 11 inches total between my arms, legs, waist and hips and 11 pounds! I am so proud of myself and am trying my hardest to keep it going.

We have a kid in school?!

When did we get old enough to have a kid in Elementary school?? Tyler started Kindergarten in the middle of August, I still can't believe it! It was an emotional day for all of us...and when I say all of us I mean me. He was really excited and nervous at the same time. (exactly what he told people when they asked him about starting school) Me on the other hand, well, let's just say I had a few tears when he walked in the school. But I pulled myself together pretty quickly. Before school (he has afternoon K) we let him pick where we would eat lunch, which was "Chicken Donalds" aka. McDonalds. We had a nice family lunch and then took him to school. His face was so worried when he was getting ready to line up to go in school, and then his face was completely different when I picked him up- full of happiness! I am so glad that he has adjusted so well to going to school. He absolutely loves his teacher, Mrs. Turnquist, and has made many friends already- some of his best friends at school are Ethan and Blake. It is November now and he has progressed so much! He has started to read small words here and there and gets so excited when he realizes that he is reading. I can't wait to see the difference of how much progress he has made at the end of the school year!

I've been so busy for the last few months keeping up this blog has taken the back seat....but hopefully I can get that taken care of this week! Since its just easier to tell stories by pictures here ya go!

First off- My brother Jonathan and his wife Christie, and son Miles, can for a QUICK trip in August. We had the privilege of watching Miles while they went to the temple. It was a lot of fun meeting little...(I mean big) Miles for the first time! He and Katy are 3 months a part...Katy being older...but you sure can't tell. The boys had fun with him and Katy wasn't sure what to think of him. I just love the picture of the two of them staring at each other full of curiosity. We love living in Denver because we are a lot closer to many more family members, which makes it easy for quick visits!

Next....
The boys Little Gym class had a little celebration that we went to. They had a fire truck and police car for the kids to see, a dunk tank to dunk Mr. Scott in, treats, and free play time in the gym. Katy was so excited to finally be able to go crawl around on all the fun stuff she sees the boys play on weekly! We had a fun afternoon as a family.
