It's Official!

As for the snow update, we ended up with 12 inches of the white stuff! Crazy! Here are some updated pictures.

While I was talking on the phone with Jamie last night, Michael decided to take his first steps. He walked from the couch to the chair! Well, he has been walking all day long; he's some footage!

Where Do We Live?

This morning, we woke up to snow falling, and it is still snowing! They are expecting 3-6 inches before it stops (which is suppose to be tonight); it hasn't snowed like this here in 20 years!

Brittany was very excited to go outside, but Michael didn't like it too much (as you'll see from the pictures). I've also included pictures of our house, backyard with the BBQ pit and our street. It looks like a Winter Wonderland!

Santa...Who?

On Friday, we took Brittany and Michael is see Santa. They have no idea who the man in the red suit is but at least they didn't cry! They didn't really know what to do; they were determined Not to smile though.

Christmas is coming!

Our tree is up and decorated! Yeah! Jamie had Monday off from work, so we picked up the tree. It was fun to see Brittany's and Michael's reactions to "all of those trees"! They just loved it! Here are pictures of the tree (yes, we have a gate around it to keep happy hands off the ornaments) and the kids. Here they are helping Jamie check the lights before I put them on the tree.

Our little elf!

Brittany just loves hats! When we unpacked the Christmas boxes, she found this elf hat and just had to put it on. She looks so cute in it (she won't let Michael wear it), I had to post the picture!

Bobble Head

Whenever Michael is happy, he does this thing with his head (we call it bobble head).

Ready, Set...

Go! Michael is taking off on the learning to walk thing. He is using the "walker" as much as possible which Brittany is not too keen on (we bought it for her 1st birthday).

NW Trip - the Ferry

We wanted the kids to experience the full Seattle experience, so we took them on a ferry ride! Brittany's favorite part was looking out the window and watching the seagulls fly by her! She wanted to touch them. As for Michael, he just loved being there; he didn't care what was going on as long as he was included in the plans.

NW Trip - the Neck thing

For some reason, Brittany just loves to put things around her neck! I have many pictures of her with my shirts, Jamie's ties and belts and various other items around her neck. Our trip was no exception! Here she is sporting my shirt but also Erin's too!

Oops! We can't forget the scarf either!

NW Trip - the Piano

Brittany just loves music -- any kind really. So these are pictures of her cousins introducing the piano to her; she loved it! When they would play songs, she would dance around the room! After seeing the fun (and hearing the noise), Michael wanted to join in with piano playing too.

NW Trip - Halloween Night

It was so nice to in a cooler climate for the Halloween festivities, and it wasn't too cold either! At first, Brittany didn't want to hold onto her "pumpkin"; she kept dropping it. That is, until she noticed people put candy in it. From that time forward, she held onto that pumpkin with a deathgrip! She loved collecting the candy and being out with all of her counsins!

Our NW Trip - Pumpkins

Michael had a "thing" for the pumpkins. Whenever he saw one, he just had to investigate it ... usually by climbing on it. Here is also a picture of Brandon who was carving his pumpkin for the first time!

Before The Trip

While I ran around town preparing for our departure, Jamie stayed at home with Brittany & Michael. When I came home, I found them playing in the new suitcase...Jamie introduced it to them!

Halloween Party

This weekend was our Ward's Halloween party, so Brittany was dressed as a ladybug while Michael was dressed as a bear. They were so cute! Brittany actually kept on the headband for most of the night. Her favorite part of the night was the fishing hole. She thought it was great to hold a fishing pole, throw it over a wall and then "catch" something. She would have stayed at the fishing hole all night if we allowed her! As for Michael, he just crawled around and found his own entertainment (getting into things). All in all, it was a fun night. By the way, Brittany was enthralled with a balloon one of the older kids had at the party. By the end of the night, she was able to get her little hands on it.

Just Cute Pictures

While downloading our pictures, I came across these and thought they were too cute not to post. Brittany loves hats! She keeps playing with Jamie's baseball hats. Here she put one on and then climbed onto her "cycle".

Brittany also loves jackets. Here she put on one and loved looking at herself in the mirror.

The picture with Brittany and Michael in the playroom is when Michael was trying to crawl. She saw he was upset, so she tried to help by pulling on his arms! Of course, he fell onto his stomache, but they both thought it was funny.

They both like to play with the dishwasher. Now, Brittany knows how to open it and they play with the silverware!

Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend while driving down to OC, we stopped at a pumpkin patch and farmer's market. Brittany and Michael had fun looking & touching the pumpkins. However, their favorite item was the hay. They could have just sit on the hay all day long. Here are some pictures from our adventure.

It has been a while since we posted, so here are some updates. Michael is now sitting without any help, he holds his own bottle and loves to sit in the high chair (he just received his own today; it was on backorder). First hair cut! Jamie is holding Brittany while she gets her bangs cut. They were always in her eyes which drove us crazy! She was not thrilled with this!

Brittany is Walking!

Brittany started walking last week, but I could never capture the moment on film/video. Well, I finally captured her walking. She's still wobbly but she's becoming more adventurous!

Balloons can be funny!

We had some balloons left over from my birthday, and some of them had fallen to the floor. Brittany was playing with them and ended up rubbing her hand across it...making the "screetching" sound we all so love. This sound made Michael just laugh. This is a video of Michael touching the balloon and making the "screetching" sound; he thinks it's pretty funny.

I have also included some pictures of the kids; they are doing great! Michael is rolling everywhere; i'll have him with me in the office on the floor. It never fails that he rolls over to me and wants me to pick him up (he loves to hit the keyboard). He's also cutting a tooth. Brittany is saying more words and is trying to walk.

We bought a small pool for the backyard, and Brittany just loves it! She saw her suit hanging up and carried it around hoping I would take her into the pool. The truck Brittany received for her birthday wasn't too much of a success for her, but Michael loves it! It's almost as big as he is, but he loves to play with the wheels.
