Misc. Fun Pictures

For those who know me, know that I enjoy cooking, baking and just being in the kitchen. As the kids came along, it was a little harder to enjoy these moments, but now they are older it's a lot nicer. Brittany loves to help and actually do some work. Michael likes to help, but has the attention span of ...well...a 2 year old! Here's Brittany helping me make some biscuits (yes, from scratch). She loves rolling and cutting the dough.

Jamie purchased a boat which can be used on our trips to various bodies of water. He wanted to ensure it works, so he pumped it up and the kids loved it! They pretended to be in the ocean and every time they climbed out they said, "I'm getting soaking wet!" It was pretty funny!

Fire Station Tour

Did you know that you can still go on tours at your local fire station? I didn't until I asked one day while walking by one. So, I made arrangements for a little group to go on one last week. The kids loved it! They gave us a tour of the entire station, but the most important part was, of course, the engines themselves.

This is Michael in one of the fire engines looking out the window. He thought he was really big stuff!

Brittany wasn't too thrilled with the tour (which was surprising to me). She wouldn't climb on any of the engines or even let me take her picture. This is as close to one I got with her! (It turned out that she wasn't feeling well. She has some sort of virus).

Preschool

Well, today Brittany started preschool! She was so excited that she just had to take her Dora backpack (which is too big). Michael wants to go too, and just doesn't understand that he's not old enough...yet. He keeps saying he's big enough; I have to remind him that he's big enough just not old enough. This was the first picture I took and Michael jumped in the way just in time to get into the picture too. He missed her so much! He kept asking when we would be picking her up (after every errand) until the time we picked her up!
