Our cat is back!

He was at the back door this morning.  He was super hungry, thirsty, and dirty!

Adam was so cute.  He said "I thought I was dreaming!" when he first saw him.

Week in review

Carson went to basketball camp last week and had a very good time.  Here he is with the cheesiest smile ever!

My Mom took all three boys (mine and my nephew) to the movies on Friday afternoon.

On Saturday, Larry cleaned and filled the pool.  It took 13 hours to fill it!  Can't wait to see that water bill!  Saturday evening, we went to an auction for work.  I didn't take one single picture, but we had a fun time.  It was at a winery so the wine was flowing.  Larry bid on a few items and won!  Andy Carson from the channel 12 news was the auctioneer so that was entertaining.

Sunday, Larry and I made plans to have no plans.  We watched a whole season of Breaking Bad.  We both needed the down time!  I made us breakfast and snacks and we just hung out.

Sunday afternoon I noticed that I hadn't seen our cat all day long.  The last time either of us saw him was late Saturday night.  We have looked all over for him with no luck.  We figure he must have gotten out Saturday evening or Sunday morning when Larry was checking on the pool, adding salt to the pool, etc. 

Carson and Adam came home this morning and I told them about Romo (our cat) and poor little Adam started crying.  My poor boy.  Carson could care less.  Adam perked up when he saw the pool.  He's giving me the "Can I get in?" look below.  It was a whopping 55* so the answer was no.

I have today off so I've done a ton of laundry, a Walmart run, dishes, clean up, and will eventually make dinner.

Father's Day weekend

Saturday we set out to get some new shoes, snorkeling gear, and life jackets for the boys.  We went to Sport Authority and found some basketball shoes for Carson, socks for Carson, and snorkeling gear for both boys.  Snorkeling gear was a challenge because the boys had to try on the fins, etc.  Adam and I were bored while waiting for Larry and Carson so we took a picture!

Then we headed to Visionworks in the mall.  Adam tried on 57 pair of glasses I swear!  I was losing interest!  We finally found a pair everyone agreed upon, they are Harley Davidson brand and have skulls on the sides. 

The cutest thing happened while walking in the mall.  I was holding Larry's hand and Adam came up and grabbed my other hand.  Awwww!

We went to the shoe store, Journeys so Adam could get some Vans.  He picked out a gray and black checkered slip on pair. 

We gave Carson the choice on where to eat for lunch since he is the 5th grade graduate with a President's award.  He chose Red Robin.  He had an adult sized bacon cheeseburger and ate the whole thing!

We went to Dick's Sporting Goods next and found a great deal on life jackets.  The boys are pretty good swimmers, but I feel so much safer with them in life jackets.  Better safe than sorry!  Larry plans to take them snorkeling and one adult watching two kids without life jackets is too much.  They were buy one, get one free so we got two for $40!  Carson got an adult size small and it may be a bit too big from him, but all the others were under his weight.  Adam's looks to be small on him, but it goes to 90 lbs. and he only weighs around 65 lbs. 

Saturday evening, we went to a soccer game at Central to watch Corey and Melody's daughter, Brianna.  It was hot and my allergies got to me quickly.  We had a good time though.  Copper was pretty cute so I had to snap a picture...or two!

Sunday was more low key.  I did the grocery shopping and laundry.  Larry went to visit with his Dad and Trisha at the golf course.  We were lazy while he was gone, but I did get his presents all set out for his return!

He loved everything!  We watched a lot of t.v. and just hung out.  I made beef stroganoff for dinner and that was that!

Operation: Keep boys busy

It's summer break which means boredom seems to creep up easily!  My Mom is helping to avoid that by helping out a ton!  She took the boys to the library to sign up for their summer reading program. 

The first day was coloring a t-shirt!

My Mom also decided to take them on a little adventure once a week and this week was the beach!

Adam went to "read to the dogs" time at the library also.

Carson went to the teen program at the library this evening.  They had pizza, popcorn, and soda.  He got to play the Wii, game cube, and/or play on the computers.  There were more "teens" than I was expecting, I'm guessing a lot of 11, 12, and 13 year olds who have nothing better to do.  Carson met a girl there, but didn't catch her name!  Ha ha ha!  I didn't even attempt a picture because that would have been embarrassing! 

Next week Carson has basketball camp, both boys will do library activities, and my Mom will take them on another weekly adventure.

Carson-5th grade graduation

Yesterday I went to a little graduation for the 5th graders.  I walked in and Carson came right up to me, he was so proud to have me there!  Mr. Kreta is speaking in the above picture and he was Carson's 5th grade teacher.  He taught the kids to shake with your right hand, get your certificate with your left hand, and turn and smile for your Mom and Dad!  Ha!  I love it!  Carson was first and he followed the rules!

Next they gave out President's awards and my Carson received one!

Off to the next adventure...summer break and then middle school!



Long time, no blogging

Things have been pretty laid back around here.  Memorial Day weekend we didn't do much and the weather hasn't been the best.  The main events of the past few weeks include Larry starting his new position at work, the boys are almost finished with school, and I finally got my new glasses.  Not too exciting!

This weekend we actually got out of the house and did something.  Our work had a celebration for doubling our balance transfer goal in March/April.  We went to a improv show with dinner.  They also had a photo booth so we took advantage of that!

Saturday we hung out and had a few people over for a BBQ.  I didn't take many pictures as I had Benadryl in me.  My allergies have been very bad.  I did take this one picture.

Today has been extremely lazy since I took more Benadryl (so I could breathe).  We watched Hangover II, ate pizza, and napped.
