Weekend Fun

I've had a four day weekend this weekend and we have had a lot of fun!

Friday, I did a major Wal-mart run!  I spent $243 on who knows what!  Ha!  Larry and I had a date night, we went to see American Sniper and to San Antonio for dinner.  The movie was excellent.  Our little theater was packed and it was completely silent walking out.  Very eerie!

Saturday, we did some chores around the house and had Corey & Melody over for dinner.  Larry BBQ'd steaks, baked potatoes, and garlic bread.  I made a salad to go with dinner.  It was excellent!  We had jello shots and just sat around talking.  I only took one picture of Larry barbecuing!

Sunday, we went to the range with Corey & Melody so we could shoot Larry's new .45 Sig Sauer 1911 ultra compact hand gun.  Afterward, we came home and had a nice lazy afternoon.

Today, the boys and I went to the dentist (NO cavities!) and I've been working on laundry.

All weekends should be four days long!

MAN Weekend...errr...Night

The boys had winter MAN weekend this weekend.  Corey came along also.  Their weekend ended up being one night due to the extreme cold.  They went to Pamelia Lake which was frozen over.  They had all the right supplies except a little inflatable mattress to go between their sleeping bag and the ice cold ground.  They felt like the slept on ice all night long.  They had fun though, but were happy to come home and order pizza!  Ha!

Staycation Re-cap

I have been on vacation since Christmas Eve and it's been such a relaxing time!  Of course, it was busy with the hustle and bustle of the holidays, but I fit in a lot of relaxing which is what I needed.  The boys had holes burning in their pockets with all of their Birthday and Christmas money, so I took them shopping.  They mainly bought video games and Xbox Live cards to download games.  I got to lay on my couch in my jammies with coffee while watching t.v. or pinning items on Pinterest!  Larry and I did some football watching and couch dwelling as well.  I was able to do a little shopping with my Mom and we don't pass up an opportunity to go out to lunch!  I went on a couple walks, however not as many as I was hoping...it was far too cold and I was far too lazy!  Ha ha ha!  I also received a funny text from Adam upstairs in his room and he hash-tagged it!  Too funny!  I did do some organizing of our kitchen cupboards and I was disgusted to throw away a full garbage bag of expired foods.  One of my goals is to be better about using what we have and to not let food go to waste.

A pretty good stay-cation if you ask me!

Happy New Year!

We spent New Years Eve with friends last night.  Corey & Melody Gramley hosted and served some delicious chicken chimichangas!  Melody also made 90 Jell-O shots and we ate them all!  I brought cupcakes and others brought all sorts of chips and crackers.
