The last few weeks

I swear I have to take a day off to get some blogging done!  Ha ha ha!  There is a lot going on in the coming weeks so hopefully I can keep up!

 

First, I need to catch up!

 

Larry went to Hoodsport a few weekends ago to help with diving.  This left us home alone which has never happened.  We had a lot of fun and lazy time though.  The boys snuggled in bed with me and Adam even slept with me one night.

 

 

 

We laughed and laughed about these pictures!  They were so funny!  The room was pretty dark and the flash was so bright!  We also did a Target run and the boys showed me a lot of things that are on their wish lists.  Larry sent text updates and called.  I got a cute picture via text of the nicer weather there!

 

We had Thanksgiving over at Renee's (Larry's Mom).  I had the very hard job of making a green salad.  Ha ha ha!  It was pretty relaxed.  I caught a cute picture of Larry and Renee looking at her new Ipad.

 

The only other exciting news is that Larry purchased a new to him vehicle this week!  It's a 2006 Yukon Denali.  He is pretty excited about it!



Carson's Birthday

On Thursday after school, Carson got to go out to eat with Grandma Sue.  He chose to eat at Red Robin which is his favorite!  Grandma gave him a Lego set that he had been wanting and a new shirt.

 

On Friday, his actual Birthday he invited a few friends over for pizza, pop, cupcakes, and a trip to the movie theater to see Wreck-It Ralph.  Only one boy, Cade showed up, but they had a lot of fun anyway!

Funnies...

Last week when we were going out to dinner, I decided to wear eye liner.  I don't wear it very often because I can't see well enough to put it on properly.  I needed a sharpener for my eye liner and was too lazy to go upstairs to get my sharpener.  I asked the boys to get me a pencil sharpener.  They were gone forever...literally forever!  LOL!  Adam came back and said "We can't find a sharpener, but I got you this..."  He handed me a black colored pencil.  Oh my stars....so cute!  I laughed and told him thank you.  Ha ha ha!  I definitely have boys!

 

The other day, Carson texts me "Mom, a bowl just broke while I was unloading the dishwasher.  Should I just leave it or pick it up?"  My sarcastic side was thinking "Oh just leave it you little stinker!  Uhhh...pick it up...duh!!!"  Ha ha!  I sent a text back saying "Carefully pick it up and sweep while wearing shoes."  What a funny boy!

 

 

One morning this last week, Adam opened up my car door for me as we were heading out for the day.  I gave him a look because he's never done that before and he says "Who's the best Adam in the world?"  Oh, I am in for it with him!  I say this all the time to the boys whenever I serve their dinner plates, etc. 

 

This is really a fun age because we get to have adult like conversations and they are funny!  They catch on quick and will make fun of me or they will gang up with Larry.  Funny kids!

More Celebrating!

Yesterday, my Mom took me for coffee, lunch, and shopping!  Three of my favorite things!

 

We stopped at Starbucks on our way to Portland.  We got venti sized drinks which means HUGE!

 

We got to Washington Square and shopped in Macy's for a good hour and a half.  We both found great deals!  I got a jean skirt for vacation that was normally $46.00 for $5.15!

 

Then we went to The Cheesecake Factory for lunch!  We love their chicken salad sandwiches and I can't think of any other restaurants that even serve them!  We had yummy iced tea too and fun conversation!

 

After lunch, we looked around in JCPenney where I found several cute things, but needed a different size.  The size I needed was at Clackamas store, so my Mom chauffeured me over there and we found more treasures!

 

We headed towards home, but stopped at Old Navy and Target to look around and get some necessities.  I did start my Christmas shopping so that feels good!

My Birthday

My Birthday was an okay day.  It was a Thursday and I worked part of the day since it was the 1st.  The girls at work bought me a cute cake and I treated myself to a massage.  My Mom made me cookies with a shopping/lunch date promise in the very near future.  My Dad sent me a card with a little money.  My Mother in Law brought by a card with a little money and some wine glasses.  It was just kind of a blah day.  I received several Facebook wishes and I knew that Larry and I would be celebrating over the weekend.

 

 

Apparently, Larry ordered flowers the day before my Birthday and they never showed up.  He was livid!  He got it worked out with them, so they arrived on the day after my Birthday, but in time for my Birthday weekend!

 

 

Friday night I made us French dip sandwiches and we caught up on three episodes of Dexter.  It was a great way to end a busy week.  Larry gave me my present because I saw it wrapped and I couldn't wait!  Ha!  I received a FOUR month tanning package with some tanning lotion.  Four months is quite a long time, but I can take my time working on my tan for our vacation that's in about four months!

 

Saturday, Larry told me I needed to be ready by 4:15 to go somewhere.  I did as I was told...for once!  Ha ha ha!  We dropped the boys off with my Mom and off we went.  I could tell we were headed towards Portland.  I thought we might be going to The Melting Pot which is a fondue place I've been wanting to try.  When we were getting closer he had me look at the map on his phone and I discovered we were going to Marrakesh which is a Moroccan restaurant.  I was excited because I have been wanting to go there!  I mentioned it several months ago!

 

When we got towards the building, Larry wanted to kiss me which was odd.  Not that he wanted to kiss, just the timing of it because we were walking.  I then realized that our friend Kyle was there with his girlfriend Mariah.  We went inside, got seated, ordered drinks and took my new favorite picture.

 

They wash your hands for you because you eat with your hands and drink your soup.

 

We had a great time!  My meal was better than Larry's, which he wants to try next time.  Our waiter was very nice, but his picture taking skills were not the best!

There was even a belly dancer that the boys had to tip!

 

After dinner, we walked a few blocks to Kells Brew Pub and had quite a few drinks, a strawberry dessert, and they brought me a brownie/ice cream concoction while singing Happy Birthday to me.

 

We had such a fun night!

 

I get to go to lunch and shopping with my Mom tomorrow so the Birthday fun continues...
