Elenitangelo.

Elena's Gallery / La galería de Elena

One of the things I was able to do while recovering was to draw with Elena. I really couldn't do much so I started to tell her how to draw things, like draw a circle and then a stick, you get the picture.
I was extremely impress at the end when she showed me her art. Don't you think she's pretty good?

Trees / Arboles

Kitty cats / Gatos

Butterfly / Mariposa

Cocodrilo.

Language is one those things in life I don't understand. I know, now, that I can learn one if I want to survive. Although, now that I'm alive, why can't I get away from it?

I didn't really want to learn English, but now that I know it I somehow forgot Spanish. My Elenita does not speak Spanish, you are probably saying WHAT?? and all I can say is. I'll try harder.

So, from now on, my dear Blog will be bilingual. I thought about making another one but it will be a lot of work and I don't have the time. I really hope that it works out, wish me luck!

Alma and I making "guacamole" I had no idea what Mexican food was like.
Alma y yo haciendo "Guacamole".

Alpacas!! I knew these guys.
Alpacas!! Yo los conozco.

Oldies dance, at least I'm dancing, right?

Now I'm all ready to become an American, with Smokey and and Eagle Sam!

Update.

Hello everyone, is Belky!
Oh I know you like Dave posts the best, but you are stuck with me again;-)

It's been 11 days since surgery and I am happy to report that I'm healing well.
Surgery day was crazy. We left Elena with Camille and Camille took her to Lindsey's on her way to work. We drop Victoria off at Janet's house at around 7am and head off to the hospital.
I was so worry because Victoria does not take a bottle, we tried but were not successful. I knew she was going to be sad and it broke my heart. Little did I know that it was the Spirit who put Janet's name on my list of people to call. She was wonderful, I knew she would be but was more than great! Thanks so much Janet.
I was not worry about Elena at all, not only she ADORES Lindsey, but she is also very easy going. Just in case Lindsey was worry about being one of Elena's favorite people out there. She took Elena outside and to a park. Elena could not stop talking about it. Thanks Lindsey.

At the hospital we checked in and once we were inside they tell us that the Doctor had an emergency surgery and it will be another hour and half. We both took a nap and then were woken up by a nurse to get ready. They took me to the pre-op and gave me a "bear hug", it is a blanket that is attached to a machine that blows warm air. I really want one :-)
When I finally went in I was able to see a little bit of the operating the room. I notice the talked to me since we were walking in, I think trying to keep me from seeing all the stuff around me. I notice three HUGE lights on top of me, I was wondering if the aliens were coming. As I started to look around they put a mask on me and I was gone.
I woke up very disturbed and in pain. The nice nurse asked if I needed more pain meds and I told her yes. I really wanted to be with Dave but they told me he couldn't come in. I was sad but eventually they say I could go.
I went back to see Dave and he told me the doctor said everything went well and that my bile duct was bigger than usual. I really wonder if that is why I puked bile my whole pregnancy. I think we finally came home at around 4:00pm

I came home and slept, fed Victoria (very painful!) and slept more. We got the girls on our back from the hospital and at around 5:30pm they went with Robert and Camille until bed time, or feedings for Victoria.

From that day on I slept ate and saw Victoria and Elena a little bit at the time. David, well he cleaned, took care of me, the girls for half day, fed them, put them to bed, dress them, played with them, took care of me, laundry and try to work from home. The sisters in our ward, well they cooked for us YUMMYLYSIOUS! meals, with treats included :-) and took Elena for half of the day, but they took their job seriously, they made sure Elena had a great time and she did, so much that on Monday, yesterday, she woke up and said "who is watching me today mom?" She came so happy everyday from her care givers, to all of you "Thank you"
Everyday after 5:50 Robert and Camille took them until bed time. I can not thank them enough, my girls have a second pair of wonderful parents.

I am so blessed and grateful to all of you who have helped. I am feeling better every day.

Pigtails

I LOVE my girls' hair. It so fun to play with it and have a bonding time while doing it.
The truth is that I am the only one having the fun, oh well, I'm sure it was the same way with my mom, so I will call it "TRADITIONNN, TRADITION!"(Fiddler on the roof)

Here is Elena at 2 months.

Here is Victoria at 4 months
Like I say, I love doing their hair -- it's way easier than mine. Farrah (David's cousin) posted a link to another blog ( http://shedoeshair.blogspot.com) where they show different hairdo's, I love it, here is my first try:

Mis Chiquitas

Hi everyboy -- it's David, back by popular demand ;-). Belky continues to get better each day (which, unfortunately for me, means she's on much weaker pain medication). Thanks again to all of you who have helped us out in one way or another, including those who have broken co-op rules (ahem...you know who you are) and violated their own doctors' orders (you also know who you are) to do so.

I've been home for the past several days. I had planned to get some work done, but it's a little hard to focus around here sometimes. So mostly I've gotten to spend some time with the 3 wonderful girls in my life. I've also been able to do some photo retouching, which I hadn't tried for awhile. Here's my latest effort at showing off these beautiful girls.

A Woman Without Bile

Hi everybody; this is David, ghost-blogging for Belky (a.k.a. 'La Inválida'). I'm happy to report that she's lost her marbles, or gallstones as the doctor likes to call them. She's home and recovering, and hopefully through the worst of the pain.

Watching someone you love suffer is no fun -- but watching them on narcotics can be, I've found. After Belky takes a new dose, she's very VERY happy for a while. Once she sang to me for a full half hour -- with her eyes closed. Another time she told me, in a very concerned tone, "I don't think we should do chocolate cake!" (of course, I responded just as I do when she's not hallucinating: "okay, dear").

In all seriousness, though, I want to thank everyone that's been helping us out, especially our wonderful ward members who've brought food. And most of all Robert and Camille, who took care of the girls for the entire weekend!

p.s. - at least one person around here isn't letting all this get her down:

Somethings, not so grateful for :-(

I am very grateful for my girls.
I have learned to love in a way I never thought I could, and that is after experiencing falling in love with Dave.
I am grateful to have two girls, they are so cute together.
I am grateful for my legs, so I can run and save them from their inventions.
I'm grateful for my arms so I can hold them tight.
I am grateful for my lips so I can kiss them better everyday.

I am NOT grateful for teeth.
I don't enjoy teething. Elena takes months and months to get hers out and it looks like Victoria is going to be just like her sister.
I know I am a complainer but if teething wasn't bad enough, try it two kids at the same time!!
Crankiness is all I see all day everyday, nothing makes them happy but then I am the only one who they want, but when I come they get mad.
AAAHHHHAAAAAAHHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

There it is, out of me, sorry and Thank you!
Belky

So this is love...

Congratulations Megan and Weston!

It was a beautiful day and you two looked so in love, it was a fairy tale story...

with Fairy Godmothers,

and the Coach!

It all started with a family meeting and the Blessing of our little miracle, baby Mathew.

The kids practice the song they were singing at the luncheon.
Megan and Weston practice parenthood.

Then we went all out to get some pizza. I feel it for the waitress that was trying to get our orders. We were a total of 27 people, that include Melanie's parents and sisters (4 people)

Funny, this is what the highlight of the evening was: Elena and Natalie "sharing" a lollipop!

The day after was all about work. Dad and David went to work on the video, Mom baked and baked and baked and baked brownies for the reception, Melanie and I worked on the wedding cake.
Yep, you heard right. My first wedding cake, and I think Melanie's second; I could be wrong though.

Too bad you can't see it, but our aprons say "Jennifer".
I loved making the cake with Mel. She thinks we should start a business called "The sisters". We really had a good time , we complement each other and hate doing what the other one loves doing :-)
Jennifer: Thank you so much for letting us invade your apartment, it was so much fun being with you and using your amazing Emeril set of pots and pans :-)

The final product!

After making the cake David, the girls and I went to Priscila's apartment for some super: yummy empanadas. Priscila and I met at the ELC in 2001. She's from Argentina and married a "gringo," just like I did. :-)

Here is Priscila with her oldest daughter Lili. John was asleep and there is another on the way. Sadly Mac, her husband, was out of town that weekend.

WEDDING DAY!

Gorgeous Megan

THE LUNCHEON.

Nieces and Nephews sang "Families can be together for ever". Sadly enough that is only half of the kids. In the pictures, from left to right, are Kayli, Elena, Jared, Natalie and Emalyn.

Victoria and Krysta. I don't have pictures of Tyler, Joshua, or Bryce ( little Mathew is up on the blessing section).

Carrie, the Maid of Honor, and Greg, almost maid of Honor. :-) Art and Sandy, wonderful friends.

RECEPTION.

We were lucky to see some good friends and family we hadn't seen in a while.

David and Brian Crosby. Mom and I, oh I miss her. :-(
THE CAKE.

Someone got a little too excited with the long knife.

Elenita and Daddy dancing. Grandpa and Kylie, the oldest of the grandkids.

The Maid of Honor caught the bouquet!

It was a wonderful wedding and we all had a great time. Sunday, the day after the wedding was our 6th wedding anniversary, We tried really hard to do something together but ended up being away from each other.
Monday, my in-laws watched Elena while we went out to eat and took a romantic walk around BYU campus. There are too many memories there, everywhere we went we remembered something that happened that first summer we were together. We went to visit this one bench by Heritage Halls where we used to spend time (kiss) but it was gone! I guess we were not the only ones. :-(

Before we came back we went to visit Grandpa who was at the hospital.
Here are Elena and Grandma Jensen, or as Elena calls her, "Great Grandma".

We also went to visit Megan's new apartment in Provo. Mom and Dad really liked the HUGE bean bag they got for their wedding.
