More adventures with G&G in July

Cuteness overload!! this little guy saw Toria with her blanket and he couldn't resist a hug.

One of the many other things Elena had on her "to do" list was going hiking. 

Grandpa being the amazing man that he is took us all to Cascade Springs. The drive was challenging for the vomiting machine but there was a happy ending when we all got out of the car.

Look at those HUGE dandelions, they were so much fun to play with.

I have to mentioned that Elena was really upset by how short the hike was, she told me something like, can we go to one that is longer than 15 minutes?

Being that this was the second hike with the same comment, I think Grandpa was wondering if he should do his "one mile run" test on Elena so they could go backpacking.

I was told by Dad, that she was a cow. I had to double check with mom because I was so sure he was pulling my leg. There is so much of this world that I need to learn.

Later in the month it was time to fulfill another request.

The girls really wanted to go to the zoo, but this Mom was not up to the hour drive each way and then the crazy walking. So Grandma found this really cool little place. An aquarium just about 30 minutes away from their place.

This was the hit for the kids. Or maybe just Victoria, she made friends with one of these guys. He kept coming to her to be petted it was super cute! 

Miss Elena on the other hand decided it might not be as safe to touch the slimy friends. I would like to point out that by the time she was a year and a half she swam with a bunch of these guys in the waters of the Bahamas...... She told me that she couldn't remember, but since she had already done it she was ok passing the opportunity. 

They also took a couple of trips to the park, while I took naps.

Thanks Mom and Dad, you guys were awesome!

July!

What is it about blogging anymore?! Why can't I get excited about posting? Where did I loose my inspiration? Oh, Where, oh where, oh where, oh where, oh where... is my hairbrush?!!!!
I think part of it is that our PC was having issues and I don't really like posting on my laptop. It is too painful for me to use the little tab instead of a mouse. But, on the other hand I strongly believe I lost my "funny" and then my audience and then the energy. It could also be the fact that I am still vomiting and don't find much pleasure on anything besides liquids. Really I think I've been too busy hanging out with my friends, doing school things with the girls, hanging out with their friends and so son. Or......... I could go on forever I think.

Anyway, lets try and catch up a bit, ok? July came too fast, it was a sign that time was passing and that the end will eventually come. (profound and dramatic!)

Grandpa, being the amazing man that he is, obeyed to almost any request his little followers made. Elena specially was really good at telling him what she wanted him to do, and one day she had heard there was a bike that she might be able to use, and since she was desperately missing her scooter, I didn't stop her from asking Grandpa about the bike.

Grandpa had some fixing to do on the red bike, but Elena was right there by him, being his amazing helper. Later I learned that it was the bike Mr. David used when he was little. Elena thought that was really cool.

Grandpa helped her ride it for a bit, you see the bike has no training wheels and she doesn't know how to ride them that way yet. But she was a very good sport about it. I helped her for a bit too, but it was too hard to bend for that long. She didn't last very long and the reason was that she was just a few inches too short for the bike, she could barely reach, so it was a lot of hard work.

They loved! the dress ups at Grandma's :-)

Uncle Weston was fighting HARD to become the one and only most favorite uncle EVER!!!
It kind of helped that he was the only uncle around for the longest time, but the girls believe he can do anything, and he can do it the funnest!

Grandma and Grandpa aren't big on fireworks, but since the USA's birthday happens in July they (meaning Grandma) bought some sparklers and "Snakes" in the picture below you can the the snakes.
Grandma we love you! you are way too cute.

Time goes by too fast when you are having fun.....

June, the beginning of FUN!

Vacation time!!!
In June the girls and I ventured to UT on our own leaving my "media naranja" and my mom behind. the girls did AMAZING in the flights. Elena later told me that the second airplane (we took 3) was her favorite! (it was the longest, almost 14 hours)
I guess that explains this face!

Mom and Dad took us to Bridal Veil for a little hike.

Grandpa decided he had enough of this kid.

The little one wasn't so lucky either, Grandpa was getting rid of both of them!

I think they both said, "we love you Grandpa!!!" so he decided to keep them. Here they are on the way back. They enjoyed it but Elena complained because the hike was only 10 Minutes!! She made Grandpa promise a longer one.
I think he was thinking of asking her to run a mile ;-)

Tiny little sweet peppers, another reason to love grandma's house!

First rain of the summer, the girls were trying to catch rain drops in their mouths. Elena kept telling Grandma, at KAUST we don't get rain, we only get Floods. Victoria on the other hand looked out the window and yelled "Wow Mom there is a BRAIN STORM out there!!!!"

Then I got SO SO SO SO lucky to see amazing friends again. Andy, Heidi, thank you SO much for coming to see me it was too short ;-)

Grandma made herself even cooler by taking the girls to see 8 days old puppies, their eyes weren't even open!!

Grandma's books were a hit!

To end it all we had an awesome picnic with some of David's cousins, it was so nice to catch up with everyone and eat some yummy chicken that I had been craving.

During June my awesome cousin Jennifer along with Jeremiah took me with them to see the Stadium of Fire. If you don't know what that is then let me tell you, it is only one of the coolest Fireworks show in the USA for the 4th of July, oh and this year they had invited BRAD PAISLEY to perform!!!
The whole thing was AWESOME, David Archuleta was amazing, the dancers, the host, the honoring of the military, veterans, BYU's basketball game, Brad Paisley and the fireworks, it was SO awesome, and the very last of the show it was SO loud that it felt like the stadium was going to fall apart.
AWESOME!!!
