When I told Boston Aunt Kristin had a BOY his response was "YESSSSSS!! I LOVE playing with boys so much better!"

Preschool 2011

Boston had the first day of his last year of preschool a week ago. I'm sort of dreading next fall to come around but for now we'll enjoy another great year with his teacher Ms. Lynette (who he just LOVES).

This year he is going Tuesday/Thursday from 9-2 and he LOVES it (so does his momma)! He loves that he can bring his own lunch to school. After a FULL day at school he is completely exhausted when he comes home! Let's hope this year goes by slowly so kindergarten doesn't come too fast because I'm seriously freaking out about it for more reasons then one!

8 Months

Two weeks ago Hudson hit the 8 month mark! A few days before he turned 8 months he came down with a fever that lasted almost 5 days! I took him into the doctor to find out he had early signs of croup! Luckily, he didn't get any worse and his fever broke a day later and has been back to normal since. Those few days were rough for the little guy though. My happy boy was very irritable, loved to cuddle and slept until 10 am every morning and took 4 hour naps!

Hudson still loves to stick ANY thing and EVERY thing in his mouth. This drives me NUTS and keeps me on my toes with lysol in my hand.

Such a sad face and total OPPOSITE of what I usually get when I pull my camera out. Poor sick boy!

But I could still get a small smile out of him if I tried. He loves to bang his hand on anything and thinks it so cool if you do it back. Then we take turns. He loves to blow raspberries and if you start it, he'll do it right back at you!

Hudson loves pulling himself up onto everything whether its something stable or not. His favorite is going to the train table (mainly because there's lots of "yummy" things to stick in his mouth). He is also very clumsy and has had a few bruises/scrapes to the face. I'm sure we'll have many more of those!

A few weeks ago Boston ran to me and said "Hudson is climbing the stairs!" I didn't believe him until I saw for myself....yes indeed he was making his way up!

This boy is every where! He is definitely very curious and adventurous.

He loves to feed himself snacks. He also HATES all of the pureed food I make except for sweet potatoes, carrots or any of the fruit. If I feed him store bought baby food he will down it all with NO problem! Grrrr!

His big brother still adores him and he feels the same. No one can make Hudson laugh harder than Boston. They are pals.

We love this sweet, happy boy!

Us Time

On August 27th, Kent and I celebrated SEVEN years of marriage. I seriously can not believe its been that long but it really has. Kent had wonderful plans (YES he actually PLANNED FAR in advanced for this) for that night but Hudson started runing a fever and we decided it'd be best to order in and take care of our baby. So Outback and 50 First Dates it was (that was the first movie we ever saw together). Simple & quiet night in. We weren't too disappointed because the next weekend we got to get away together with OUT kids and head to Dallas for the LSU vs. Oregon season opener game!!! We were THRILLED to go to Dallas, spend a night together alone, stand in awe at Cowboy Stadium AND watch our TIGERS play!!! It was a quick weekend (drove up Saturday morning, left Sunday morning) but we got to see friends (Hubbards), eat a fun lunch at Benihana's and take in the game!

Our LSU tigers slaughtered those little Oregon boys!

I'm so grateful and blessed to have Kent. He really is such a hard worker and loves his family so much. Even though these last two years have been very hard and stressful on him, he's done his best to make his family his priority. I love that we support each other, understand each other, enjoy each other, and laugh together. Its amazing to see how you grow closer together each year. I'm one lucky girl to be married to that guy.

HAPPY LUCKY #7!

Oh and before I forget, I was in the car with Boston explaining what an "anniversary" was & that Kent and I had been married for 7 years. With a burst of excitement Boston says back to me, "I remember that! You and Daddy got married in the temple and I was there and then I went back up high in the sky back to heaven with Jesus!" Tears. Seriously? Then a few days later, TOTALLY unprompted Boston said the same thing and then added, "and Jesus was there too but when everyone looked over at him, he disappeared back to heaven." Out of the mouths of babes.
