Weekend Vacation

For those of you who don't know, Dallen and I flew to California for the weekend to surprise my Mom for her 50th birthday!! It was Dallen's first time on an airplane and he did pretty good. He ate almost the whole way there (it's a short flight) and slept the whole way back. We had many big adventures on our mini-vacation and lots of pictures of our fun memories. EnjoY!!!

On Thursday night when we arrived we all went out to dinner for my Mom's birthday. Wouldn't you know that Dallen's Mimi chose Mimi's Cafe. Although the celebration was for Mimi, Dallen made the whole night about him!! He wouldn't sit still at dinner, he was playing with anything he could get his hands on (except his own toys). He even drank everyone's water at the table.
On Friday, Auntie Kellie took us to the beach. Let's just say it was quite an adventure and although it was challenging, we will definitely be doing it again. Dallen played in the sand and napped in the shade and what trip wouldn't be complete without tasting a little sand?!?! At least we got these ADORABLE pictures of my little surfer dude.
On Friday night we went to Uncle Scotty's lacrosse game. Great Grandma and Grandpa were there too. It was really bright when we first got there and then got pretty chilly (for CA) once the sun went down. I'd never been to a lacrosse game before and it was really exciting and tons of fun. Dana Hills won the game 9-8.
On Saturday we took Dallen swimming in the pool for the first time and he absolutely loved it!! He was so sad when we made him get out. We will definitely be playing in the pool more often, I just know our little man is gonna be a great swimmer.

All weekend long, Dallen loved playing with Kasey. Unfortunately Kasey wasn't as big a fan of Dallens. She was nice to him though. He would pet her face and she would lick his fingers and he would laugh.

I got some really good videos but can't get them to upload to blogger but I will keep trying. Thanks for the fun trip family and we are so excited to be home with Daddy again!!

Duh, duh, duh....happy birthday!!

Well, its a little late and its been a long, hard day but it was all worth it to see the look on my mom's face when Dallen and I showed up on her doorstep for her 50th birthday!! Its been so hard keeping a secret for the past couple months, but it was so worth every minute :) We love you Mom/Mimi and hope you get everything you wished for this year!!!

Lifes Little Ironies

Wouldn't you know that the day my whole family is sick and stuck at home, the TV breaks!! Our TV is less than a year old and of all days. It may seem funny to some, but I am NOT laughing!!

The World is my Toy Box

Being the only grandchild definitely has its perks. Not only is Dallen SOOO loved by his family, but he is also spoiled. He has toys, TOYS, toys galore. With any toy imaginable at your fingertips, which ones are deemed favorites? Of all Dallen's many toys, his favorites are not toys at all. Little D loves to play with the remote control, Mom's cell phone, plastic cups, lotion bottles, medicine droppers, tubes of mascara, bottle brushes and even diapers!! This kid cracks me up :)

Today, while playing in his room, I laid out all of the toys from his toy box on the floor to see what his favorite might be, and wouldn't you know, his choice...

Oh yeah, there's more of these great shots: Gotta love this kid :) You would never know he is sick (unless you heard him awake at 3 AM cause he can't breathe out of his nose). We had to go to the doctor yesterday but we found out he weighs a whopping 17 pounds!!! He is getting so big :)

By the way, I have a ton of new pictures to post, but after snapping these beauties this morning, I just had to get them up. But trust me, there are some cute ones to come.

5 weeks VS 5 months

Dallen turned 5 months old on Sunday and what a difference time makes. At 5 months old Dallen is desperately trying to sit up by himself. He is so wanting to be independent and it is so fun to watch him grow.Not to mention how nicely his hair has come in the past few months since that last picture :)He loves his Mommy but he especially loves his limited time with Daddy. I love watching my boys play together. They look just like eachother. My two cute boys!!! This face is classic Mark, I love it!!!

A night on the town

Uncle Bennet came into town for the weekend and we took him out to the Tempe Marketplace. Its a really fun outdoor mall with lots of restaurants, stores, movie theatre and even live bands. We ate at Lucille's BBQ (so yummy) and then went and played in "The District" where all the shops and bands are. Dallen had so much fun, he just couldn't handle it all.
