Happy Halloween!!

We have had a fun-filled Halloween WEEK: full of ghosts and goblins to make you go "EEK"!! We went to parties and play-dates and had so much fun!! I took lots of pictures, look, here are some...

On Saturday we had our church "trunk or treat" and Dallen got all dressed up in his monkey suit. It was 80 degrees outside but he kept it on the whole time. What a champ!!

For Family Home Evening on Monday night we carved pumpkins with Dallen. He got to pick out his very own pumpkin and Daddy helped him carve it. We just knew he would love pulling the guts out of the "football." Here he is inspectng the goods:Helping Daddy get it open:

On Friday Dallen and I went to Shayla's super fun Halloween play-date party. We had so much fun with "thing 1" and "thing 2" (Zane and Gage) Dallen's favorite little cousins that are just his size :) Chit-chatting with "the things"King Kong throwing down a slam dunk!!The other kids loved petting Dallen in his costume. Also, on Thursday we went to the park with cousins to take pictures of the kiddos all dressed up in their adorable costumes. Mark's cousin Kendal just started a photography business and took what I am sure will be amazing pictures of little D all monkeyed up. I will post them as soon as they come!! I had a wonderful birthday (minus the migraine) and owe it all to the people who love me. Like this little guy who had a blast at dinner: Knock! Knock!

A Quarter Century

TA-DA!!Twenty five years ago today I was born!! Not to toot my own horn but I have come a long way in the past quarter century. I feel so blessed to have done all the things that I have in my life. I wish I had the time and the means (mostly the time) to post a picture from each of the last 25 years. Sometimes I can't believe I made it through 16 years of school, got married, got my husband through law school in PENNSYLVANIA, and have the most adorable son ever!! I was blessed to be raised in such a wonderful, loving home where we were made to feel like princesses on our birthdays. With my birthday so close to Halloween I usually was a princess for mine :) Basically, we felt special. This year, I realize that the credit on birthdays should go to the Mothers who got their kids to their birthdays, you should feel special. So, this one's for you Mom!! Congrats, I made it to 25!! I hope you feel special today. Oh, and Happy birthday to me :)

Caught Red Handed

Dallen has become such an independent eater. He sometimes gets frustrated cause he just wants to do it himself!! I am so proud of him and how fast he is learning and growing. I was so nervous for him to go off bottles and only eat real food. I was feeling the pressure of having to feed him nutritionally sound meals. It's not so bad though. Now I just have to worry about variety!! Any ideas?!?! What were your kids favorites?

Cell Phone 101

I had to get a new phone today because Dallen broke mine yet again!! I got a cheap-o one to last me until I can get a nice one. Maybe Dallen won't break this one. I can't help letting him play with it though. It is so cute to watch this kid pretend to chit chat on the phone. Too bad he won't actually talk to anyone when they are on the phone. It's no wonder I have needed to replace my phone 3 times in the last year, this kid is a such a little monster, but its so fun to watch. Look...
