After months of waiting and searching we have found our place. We will keep the suspense going until we are closed and moved in. I'll post pictures and tell more about it later.
We are happy to have all of our stuff in one location again. No more storage unit.
It's been hard renting these last almost two years. By hard, I mean we have felt so unsettled and not fully engaged in the neighborhood. I guess that comes from knowing we'd only be here a short time. We would never, ever rent again with the landlord living in the basement. There was never a problem, but it is just not ever all the way private. It's just a way different feeling and we are glad to be leaving.
We didn't like renting at all. But we know it is what we needed to do when we moved to a new state. This gave us time to really search and decide where we wanted and needed to be. The neighborhood is great where we are now, we love the city, we are close to most everything we need, the Ward is wonderful, schools are ok, etc. We are just way more than ready to be settled again. We cannot wait.
We have made several acquaintances and many friends here that we will really miss. We will keep in touch, one of the perks of social media.
