New Years

We had a New Years party at our house this year and it was so much fun. I can't believe I almost forgot to write about it. We had a kids countdown at 9ish. Tons of food. We played guitar hero and dance dance revolution which Larry and Matt rocked at! You go guys! Ryan and Issac dominated the guitars. They were inspiring to watch. And us girls just did what we do best "chit chat". The kids ran crazy though the house. It was great.

This was the actual countdown. I was surprise how well the kids did. We had 4 three year olds 2 six year olds and Parker and Bailey all up and no melt downs. 2 were komatos but awake. Good times!

The Pinewood Derby

We had a huge improvement in our Pinewood Derby experience this year. Parker got 2nd place. He was so excited! He designed and painted the car himself. He was very proud. Good Job Parker!

And yes Dad, he's growing his hair out. He wants it longer now. I had nothing to do with it so take it up with him.

Brayden's Birthday Poster

For Braydens birthday and the kids wanted to decorate the dining room for when we had his birthday dinner. They were so cute and so into it. So I set them down with construction paper and markers and went about doing my mommy business and when I returned this is what I saw. I think Holden colored more on himself then the paper. And it had to be orange he said because it matched is shirt. Its face was a little orange for a day or two.

As you can see he was really mad at me for taking these pictures. Sorry son, had to be done! He had put it on his lips like lipstick and all up his arms.

Bailey's hard life

So this week in Bailey's hard life:

I had come home with a donut for everyone and Bailey had to take a shower (Parker and Holden had already had one). So she stomped upstairs to take a shower while Parker and Holden ate their donut. Brayden even went up to be in our room so she wouldn't be "alone". (she hates being alone in our masterbath.) Anyway, so she gets finished and realized that the boys had eaten their donuts and all Hell breaks loose. She so upset about having to eat her donut by herself and storms down the hall, saying "It's just like I'm all alone in this house", It's like no ones here at all".

This morning I told her her shirt was to tight and it was time to retire it. She storms off to change saying, "I can't wait till I'm in college."

Holden's bedtime story

So I just put the kids to bed, Braydens at a "work dinner", so I'm all tired and stuff but Holden wanted to tell me a story. This is what he said (more or less).

Their once was a boy named Howen and a girl named Wucy (Lucy, his girlfriend from church). And Wucy was his best girl. She was a princess and Howen was a King. Howen loooove Wucy. Be en (The end)

Christmas Morning

Holden got Geo Tracks and it was my great idea to get a train table and of course the train doesn't fit in the table and Holden couldn't play with the train unless he got in the table! So the train is now on the floor of his room and the table is back in the garage. Anyone need a train table???

This is how Parker looked for the next 3 days. He only came up for food and the bathroom.

Holden was appropriately cute all morning, he got Transformers from Santa and he played with them constantly. For some reason he was really excited about this bowling set though.

Bailey's "soft doll" from Santa. The one she asked for on the 23rd in a letter to Santa, after she'd asked for a "breakable doll" to the Santa at the party we went too. Wonderful!

The Christmas Eve Navity. Holden was very serious in his role as the Angel. He was pretty much in that position the entire time. Very cute.

Everyone got exactly what they wanted and there were no let down faces. It was a great Christmas!

I don't have a picture but just another reason that my husband is the best . . . he got me a Kitchen Aid mixer and it's Red! So fun. I love it! He also got me a massage gift card. What a man! And all he got was clothes and a watch. Always under appreciated right!
