Random November

 Hozho students had the opportunity to march in the Veterans Day parade. It was a really nice day this year.

Kamryn also had the opportunity to say the pledge of allegiance and the Gettysburg address at a city council meeting. It was really moving and I think the city council was really impressed.

We started decorating the week of Thanksgiving since the kids were out of school for the whole week and because Thanksgiving was so late this year

The kids decided they wanted to have a tree decorating contest with the trees they keep in their room, and then had Wes be the judge. Jaxson and Morgans on the left, Kamryn and Addi in the middle, and Hallie and Kimber on the right

Random September 2019

 Pulled out this quilt I started working on over a year ago, and committed to getting it done! It's for our bed and its a beast!

Hallie's garden is basically a pumpkin patch. She will end up with several more pumpkins than last year, but not much edible food from her garden this year. For some reason, her pumpkins always do really well.

He hired someone to come do some electrical work for us. Adding a couple of outlets for us (yay! no more extension cords running out of my sewing closet).

Jaxson's room. We also finally, finally have over head ceiling fans in all the bedrooms. After 3 years of living here, we can walk into the bedrooms and turn on the switch and have light. It's amazing!

Random August 2019

 

With the kids back in school, I felt like I finally had some time to do some projects around the house, and have more time for things other than just trying to maintain a somewhat clean house (summer is hard for me for that reason, but I love it too!) Finally trying to organize my sewing closet so I can start quilting again.

Early morning walks are one of my favorites. I don't necessarily love getting up early because I feel perpetually tired, but I love the quiet time on the trail. I listen to books, podcasts, conference talks, etc, all while getting to watch the sunrise. I have lots of similar pictures from over the years. I'm always sad when its gets too cold to continue my walks.

Random July

 The week Fin and Vera were here we had a lot going on, but we tried to do a few fun things so they could have fun too. Plus, it was the last week of summer and we needed to make the most of it.

I don't really like horses and that's no secret. Grateful that Hallie is willing to walk the pony around when I don't want to.
