Stake Scout Camp Overnighter

May 29-30th was the Stake Scout camp behind the church. We set up the monkey bridge and won an award for it! Everyone had a good time and yes that IS Pres. Sohm on the Monkey Bridge!

Raingutter Regatta-June 11th

Ahoy, mates! This could be the sailing regatta of the century! Although the seas are only 10-foot lengths of raingutter filled with water, and the ships a mere 6 inches long, the race is a very exciting event.

Each boy built his own boat with the supervision and help from family members. He also provided the wind for the sail with his own lung power. The boats raced in pairs on raingutter courses, propelled by the boys blowing into the sails with a drinking straw (quite the sight to see.)


The actual "race" was divided into age categories: Wolf, Bear and Webelos and each age group raced among themselves.

Daddy Daughter Date Time

June 10th had been planned and fun was going to happen...except, the weather didn't co-operate. It RAINED heavily the entire time the Achievement Day girls were on a date with their dads.


The weather did not dampen the fun the girls and fathers enjoyed together. There was shaving cream, nail polish, hula hoops, bubble gum, tootsie rolls, gloves and ENERGY!


Huge thanks to Coy, Lisa and Julie who planned some hilarious activities for the girls and their dads.

Note to mothers:
Do NOT let your husbands, paint your daughters fingernails, with the exception of a few, it was not a pretty sight!
