On Saturday August 21st, the Primary had a great activity to kick off our month long fund-raising for LDS Humanitarian Aid. We assembled school kits to help children around the world. We talked over the internet to Elder and Sister Barlow who are humanitarian missionaries in Uganda. They told us about how the money we donate is used to help people. We saw pictures of people they are helping and learned how every penny we donate will go to help them.
Please help the Primary children earn the money they will donate to LDS Humanitarian Aid by allowing them to do jobs for pay. This does not have to be large amounts of money as every quarter helps! They can then use a donation slip to donate the money through the ward. Fill out the amount of the donation on the Humanitarian Aid line and add "Uganda" to the line. Give the money/slip/envelope to a member of the bishopric. We want the children to learn about service through their own sacrifice and generosity.
This donation effort will end Sept. 26th, the day of the Primary Program.
