sweet summertime, part 3

A few weeks before Landon's birthday, we began Blackaby's Experiencing God Bible study.  We've been getting up around 6am, to finish before the kiddos wake up.  We're about 2 weeks into it and so far we both really like it.  I'm excited to see where the next few months take us with it.

6 months!!!

Happy half birthday, sweet baby boy!  I cannot even believe that six months have already flown by!!  I don't feel like we've missed anything and we have loved every moment , even even the hard ones!  But man--it has gone by so fast!!  Sweet Austin, we love you so much and, while every once in a while I miss teensy tiny baby Austin, you are SO much fun right now!

I can't believe this little guy is half of a year old already!!  How does that even happen so quickly?

I came across these pictures a few days ago and realized I'd never told this story about our funny boy!  A few months ago, we went up to Ft. Worth for Landon's cousin's wedding.  They had a photo booth.  Aedan (and all of the other kids) LOVED it.  Twice, we turned our backs for a second, only to find him alone in the photo booth, taking pictures of himself!  Cracked us up--he was obsessed!

We started Landon's birthday celebration off on the Thursday night before his birthday by celebrating his and Brandon's birthday's with our Thursday night supper club group.  It was chaos, as always, but so much fun!

sweet summertime, part 2

I can't believe it's already almost the middle of August!  Landon's birthday is tomorrow, so we've had a fun weekend celebrating him.  Right now, everyone in the house is asleep.  I should be napping too, and might in a few minutes if the little one I'm in charge doesn't wake up before then.

I was just looking back through my pictures yesterday though and wanted to share about some of the fun we've been having.  To begin with, Austin loves this little piano!  He sits in it a lot while I'm cooking or doing the dishes.  It's so cute to watch him playing and figuring everything out--and trying to figure out how to get everything into his little mouth. :)  But, the cutest ever is to look up from what I'm doing, look over at him and see him just grinning at me.  Melt my heart!

We haven't been to the pool as much as I wanted this summer (though we still have a few weeks left!) because I'm still trying to figure out how to do it with 2 kiddos, but we've been some and Aedan is absolutely LOVING it.  He loves the slides and just playing around in the water.  And, he is constantly dunking his head under the water and holding his breath--crazy kid.  He loves practicing blowing his bubbles and practicing his "swimming".  It's so much fun to see him having fun.

Last Sunday, to counteract the super long family nap that we all took, we loaded up and went to the pool for a few hours in the afternoon/evening.  It was absolutely gorgeous weather and Aedan had so much fun.  We just traded off holding Austin and playing with Aedan, both of which were fun. :)

Sweet Summertime

We've been getting SO many peppers, okra, eggplants and cucumbers this year--so fun!  Still not great luck with the tomatoes (again!!) though.  It's so frustrating because that's what we really want, ha.

For his birthday this year, Landon wanted a bike he could take our boys out on--the tri bike isn't exactly made for child seats, ha.  So, for the last month or so, we've been looking for a bike and on Thursday everything finally came together!  We got a great deal both on the bike and on the child seat for Aedan and they were both excited to take it out for a ride last night!
