And his name shall be...

We still don't have a middle name yet (names are hard!!), but Aedan and Austin just wanted to share their baby brother's name.  Hearing them say his name just melts my heart and makes me so excited for him to be here and a part of our family! 

sweet baby things!

I'm about to start washing and organizing all of our little baby things, and found some new little gifts for you, sweet baby.  When we found out you were a boy, my parents gave us these sweet little sleepers!

When we first bought this house, way before we moved in (we leased it back to the previous owners for almost a month), Landon had a vision for a table with a bench and banquette to go in our kitchen.  And finally, it has come to fruition, and it beautiful!  Thank you for you creativity, your ideas and your hours and hours of hard work to make it a reality, Landon!!

new seasons, new routines: Welcome, fall!

As summer turned into fall (on the calendar, at least), we slowly began transitioning out of summer mode and back into normal life mode.  I made out weekly schedule (I'm holding it loosely, because things never go as planned, and we're about to add a newborn to the family, but it helps me to have something to aim for).  I got everything ready for Mommy School with Austin for the next few months, and made plans for reading through Magic Tree House series with Aedan.  We went to the pool one last time, and the boys swam their little hearts out.  And, as September comes to a close, we're finally feeling some (somewhat) cooler temperatures!

Mommy School, ABC weeks!

We finished out apple week and then, last week and this week have been learning all about B, for butterflies, and C, for caterpillars.  Aedan pointed out that we did it backwards, because caterpillars turn into butterflies.  Totally agree, buddy!

37 weeks!

Sweet baby, we're officially into the window of going to see the midwife every week (so crazy!!), so that means you're about to be here!  At 37 weeks, you weigh somewhere around 6 pounds maybe, but they're guessing you'll be on the smaller side like your brothers, probably around 7-7 1/2 pounds.  I'm totally ok with that!  You're filling out and look like a little newborn now--you're about the size of a head of swiss chard, and I'm feeling every bit of that. :)    I'm at the point where there's not much room left for food in my belly!

5 years, 3 months!

My sweet Aedan, I'm still getting used to you being 5--it just sounds so big and I'm still not ready for that!  I'm so happy that you're home with us for another year though, and am soaking up this time and this season with you, and praying for all that is to come for you in the next few months and beyond.  You are a great big brother to Austin, and I know you will be with your newest little brother arrives as well.  You are sweet, smart, funny, opinionated and always have a lot to share.  I love all of that about you and am absolutely loving seeing more and more of who Gd created you to be!  Lots has happened in the last 3 months and I can't wait to see all that is to come!

baby shower for our sweet Adam

Last week, some sweet friends gave us a baby shower for our little Adam.  It was such a sweet night--I am so thankful for these women to do life with and walk this road of motherhood with.  And, all the little baby things just makes me more excited to meet this sweet babe!

Landon's mom couldn't make the shower, so she dropped off her gift at our house earlier that day.  The boys were super excited to open it--and wanted to show it to Daddy!  She monogrammed a little nursing pillow for Adam and 2 matching pillowcases for Aedan and Austin.:)

first day of Sonshine school!

These 2 little BFFs stated Sonshine school this week and are loving it!  I wasn't planning on doing it this year for multiple reasons, but I'm glad we did because both boys have sweet little friends in their class and really seem to be enjoying it!

36 weeks!

Sweet boy, it hit me just this week that you'll be here in just one month--that is so crazy!  Maybe even a little earlier, if you follow in Austin's footsteps, or a little later, if you follow in Aedan's. :)  Either way, it'll be soon!  You're now around 6 pounds and the size of a head of lettuce!  I'm still feeling great, which I'm thankful for, and you had a good check up today at the midwives office, which I'm even more thankful for!

31 months!

My sweet Austin, you are now closer to 3 than 2!  That absolutely boggles my mind!  This has been a big month for you--I'm a little afraid to jinx it by saying this, but I think you're officially potty trained, even at night.  You still have a random accident here and there (mainly when you're outside playing and just don't want to stop!), but you're doing so well, even sleeping in underwear at night!  And your speech has just been exploding--as have your tantrums. :)  We love you so much, sweet baby, and are so thankful that God gave you to us!  Here's to all the fun that the next month will hold--including you possibly becoming a big brother!!

Mommy School, day 1

Last Monday we kicked off Mommy School, as Aedan named it a few years ago, and it was really fun!  We do it all together in the mornings, and I'm still trying to figure out how to make it work with both boys together.  (And I'm not even focusing yet on the fact that there will be a newborn with us in just a few short weeks--I have no idea how that's going to work!).  Austin really seems to be enjoying it and it picking things up and having fun.  Aedan is too, and is loving helping Austin learn things.  As I'm typing this though, I'm realizing that I probably need some "Mommy School" things for him to do too, since he's always done Mommy School with me.  Maybe some review things, to reinforce what we've learned, but that he can work on semi-independently?  I'll have to think that through!  That being said though, it was a fun first day!  We were learning about A is for apples, which is always a hit!  And it's kinda crazy, because I remember doing this same curriculum with Aedan when he was right around Austin's age--it boggles my mind that Austin is now his age and it's his turn.  Trying to soak it all in though and enjoy these two sweet boys in the stages they're in. :)

I love these sweet little friends!  My boys talk about Eden and James all the time, and I'm so thankful for their sweet little friendships, and all they're learning from each other about being friends. :)

I'm so thankful that we have the privilege and joy of raising three sons. Even on the super hard days, I wouldn't trade being their mom for the world. We can't wait to meet this newest little one in just a few weeks! Thanks to Kelli Nicole Photography for capturing this sweet time in life.

35 weeks!

(Daddy has been working super long hours lately, so our photo this week was courtesy of Aedan, which he loved!  He was cracking me up, because he was giving me all the same directions as Landon does...move up a little, turn a little.  Cutie pie.  And then Austin needed a turn, and he was doing the exact same thing.  I love it.)

Sweet baby, you're now the size of a honeydew melon--over 5 pounds (and mama is looking large and in charge in this picture, ha!).  You're all crammed in there I think--not turning and flipping maybe as much as you used to, but definitely still moving a ton!  I think your brothers did too, but you definitely move a lot these days, which I love!  I regularly feel little hands/feet/knees/elbows, as well as your head and your bottom.  It feels like you are really low to me (I usually feel your little hands or feet on my right side, and not up in my ribs like I did some with both Aedan and Austin!).  It's so crazy to think that that's you in there--I can't wait to hold you and see your sweet little face!  And your brothers are so excited too--they want to feel you all the time and Aedan especially, talks about you alot!  Every time I mention the doctor though (whether it is your midwives or another doctor), Austin always says "doctor to check baby?".  It's so cute!  Keep packing on those pounds, little man, and we'll see you soon!!  I can't believe how quickly it's coming. :)

34 weeks!

Sweet baby boy, we made it to 34 week, which is always a milestone in my head because it means that, if you were born now, you most likely would be fine!  Hopefully you wait a few more weeks and continue to grow and develop, but I'm glad to be here!  We went to the doctor today and everything looked great.  Your brothers were crazy, ha, but you were perfect!  Most weeks you've been measuring about a week behind, so we'll see what that means.  It might just mean you'll be on the smaller side, like your brothers, which is fine with me!  This week you're almost 5 pounds and about the size of a cantaloupe, which sounds about right!  I'm starting to feel BIG.  Still no real complaints about being pregnant--I feel great, which I'm so thankful for.  I'm just trying to soak it all up.. :)  On one hand, this pregnancy has flown by, but at the same time, it feels like I've been pregnant for a really long time!  We're getting so excited to meet you, little one!
