Kevin and I were in charge of the Santa for our church party. It turned out really great. Here are a few pictures from it.

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving. We decided that now that we live close to both families that we would have to choose which family we had dinner with each year. After consulting all the in laws we decided that this would be the year with the Abbotts. So, when the Abbotts heard that my mom and dad would only be having dinner with Renee and Kevin and Bethany. They were so great to call them and invite them up. So we were really lucky and got to have Thanksgiving dinner with both families. We got the "best of both worlds." We had a great time. We had so much good food both families made enough food for everyone. We are so grateful to have such great families and are so lucky that they live so close and are friends. The boys have been completely spoiled since we moved here. In fact we all have been. We have been so blessed this year and have so much to be thankful for. I am grateful that our house sold in Texas without too much hassle. I am grateful for our families taking us in while we are homeless. I am so grateful for Kevin, I can not repay his awesomeness. (Kung Fu Panda) I am really grateful for my super duper cute boys. I love this season to remember all that we have.

CHANGE OF VENUE!

I am not sure why I have put off making this post. (Maybe till I could do it with out crying) But I guess it is time I update the blog. We are no longer the Texas Abbotts. Kevin found a new job in Utah that he was really excited about, so after a lot of thought and discussion we decided to make the move back to the mother land. We put our house up for sale the end of August. Then I started to pack and try and keep the house in "showing" condition. It was a busy month. After a lot of work and a bunch of sad good byes we drove out of San Antonio on Oct 3, 2008. We have moved in with my parents in Provo, Ut. We have been extremely blessed and actually got an offer on our house the week after we moved. So we are waiting for our house down there to close on Nov 17 and then we will start seriously(not just online every night) looking for a place to buy in Utah. Seriously we have no idea where to even begin our search. We can live any where from North Salt Lake to Provo, cause Kevin will either be working from home or from different client sites all over, and there are so many houses on the market right now. We would love suggestions. This has definitely been a bitter/sweet move. It has been so hard to leave our great life in San Antonio. We had such great friends that were like family and really had a great time living in Texas. But it has already been so great to be by family. It was fun to be here last week for my brother Seth's wedding. The boys have had so much fun playing with cousins all the time. Kale has already had 2 cousin sleepovers. Quin has enjoyed living with grandparents that like to golf as much as he does. And of course Weston loves having at least 4 more sets of arms that are happy to hold him anytime he cries. But we do extremely miss all our great friends in San Antonio and Thank everyone that helped us get ready to move. (even if they didn't want to) And would welcome everyone to come see us if you ever come out West.

The Boys

The boys all had on white shirts today for church so I had to get a picture of them. They are so CUTE! Love my boys.

Here you go Mom!

I have wanted a picture of my mom's newly landscaped back yard but she has wanted a picture of my new bathroom tile. So she said a had to send one first. So now you owe me mom! It's not as dark as it looks here. Maybe I'll remember in other month to take one during the day and replace this one with one that is more accurate.

Rollin' on the River

Weston rolled over this weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday he rolled from back to front and back again. He seemed so proud of himself. He is such a smiley cute kid. It is fun to see how much the boys love him, especially Quin. They are great buddies. He asks if Weston is awake about every ten minutes during his naps.

Weston was being really cute so we got the camera to take a video of him and it turned in to a 20 picture photo shoot. But here are some of the cute ones. And a funny one for the kids!

Friday Night Wii Party

Kevin and some of the guys at work planned a Wii party at our house. It was really fun. We had 15 adults and 9 kids. This little house of ours has hosted some pretty good size parties. We had a wii on the tv and then another one in the boys rooms hooked to a projector shown of the wall. We had a bracket style tournament of Mario Car and then a few Guitar Hero Battles. It was a BYOM and side dish, we had a ton of food. I think everyone had a good time.

First Day Of Kindergarten

Kale started kindergarten. He loves it. It is from 7:45 till 2:45, so Mom loves it too. Really he was so excited to go that I just couldn't be sad to let him go.

South Padre Island 2008

We had an awesome time over the weekend down at South Padre Island. A couple from church has a condo down there that they let us use for two nights. The boys had so much fun. They are awesome swimmers. They stayed in the ocean as much as we would let them. They loved to ride the waves on the boogie boards. They did not let the salt water slow them down at all. We almost felt like it was wrong to have a 3 year old out boogie boarding with floaties. But he loved it so we let him. Quin has learned to swim without floaties this summer, but I am not that bad of a parent to send him out in the waves without them. I also felt kinda like a bad parent for having a four month old at the hot beach for 2 days. But as you can see I had him in the shade the whole time. The weather was actually really nice. Me being a worrier keep thinking some one would tell it was too hot to have a baby out all day. So it made me nervous when the beach police pulled up to talk to me. All they asked was where I got my cool tent and if came in other animals shapes. Why do I worry so much about stupid things? We were all sad to say good bye forever to Texas beaches and left wondering why we didn't come down more.

Wilson's Arch (Drive Home)

This is Wilson's Arch just south of Moab. We saw people in it on the way up and thought it would be fun to stop at, but didn't. So on the way home Weston needed to eat close to here so we decided to stop so I could feed him. So the boys hiked up and then Weston and came up. The redrocks of Southern Utah make for the best pictures.

Liberty Park

One hot afternoon Renee and I took the kids up to Liberty Park in Salt Lake. We also met the Andersons there to play. It's a neat park, they have made cement models of the seven canyons in Salt Lake that all have water running down them. It's a great place for little kids to play. Then we met up with our husbands and went to the Gateway to eat dinner. It was fun to see the Andersons again.

Balloon Fest

The last two years we have had fun getting up early and going down to watch the hot air ballons. It is so pretty to watch them blow up and go in to the sky right after sunrise. After the fun we went to Magleby's Fresh for yummy breakfast. I love the fourth of July in Provo.

Stadium of Fire

It is amazing to watch the small specks in the sky turn in to skydivers that drop into the staduim at incredible speeds. It makes me so nervous every year.

Even though our seats were kinda far way the kids still had a blast watching the Blue Man Group and Miley Cyrus.

Camping in Hobble Creek Canyon

While in Utah we got to go camping with the whole Abbott Family. It was fun to all be together and just hang out. Or in Kevin case catch up some sleep in the hammock. We had a great time. The other picture is of Kale wearing Uncle Jared's hat when they took the boys fishing. It was hot during the days but cooled off at night to be able to have a camp fire. We also enjoyed the nightly Tripoly game hosted by Ty.

Blessing of Weston Ross Abbott

These are two pictures Renee took for us over at the temple the night we blessed Weston. The blessing was held at my parents house with almost all of our immediate family. Kevin did a great job. He is a great example to his three boys.

Mill's Creek in Moab

The next day we drove to Moab, UT. After lunch we went to a little swimming hole that we found in one of our hiking books. It was so much fun. It was a little canyon that the river had created a natural little water slide. The boys had so much fun sliding down again and again. I think we stayed there close to 3 hours. It was a great break from the drive.

Carlsbad's Caverns

As usual for our summer vacation we went to Utah. We decided to make the actual drive up and back part of the vacation. Good things cause I think those are about the only pictures we took the whole 2 1/2 weeks we were gone. The first stop on the way up was Carlsbad Caverns. It was really cool. We just did the free tour that you can walk around the "great room." But after the 1 1/2 walk around there the boys' feet had had enough of their new shoes. It's really hard to take good pictures in there. It was amazing that all that is just under ground out in the middle of no where.

Weston

Here are the most recent pictures of Weston. Sorry none are all that cute. The top is on laundry day. He was just hangin' out with me while I folded. He is starting to smile. The boys love it. He is such a good baby. At his two month appointment he was 10 lbs 7 oz and 22 1/2 inches. He is 25% in both. The doctor said being 5 weeks early that they give them til they are 2 yrs old to catch up.

Happy 5th Birthday Kale Boy

Kale's birthday is June 15th and Kevin is June 14th. But this year Kale's ended up falling on Sunday and Father's Day. Which just didn't work with the plans that Kale had made. Breakfast - Krispy Kreme Lunch Tuna Fish sandwiches and Dinner at Chuck E Cheese and then swimming and cake. So we decided to switch their birthday's this year. We also added going to Kung Fu Panda. It was a really fun day.
