Pukefest 2007

It's over, thank goodness! All 3 kids were throwing up Thursday and Friday. It was so sad and such a mess! Wow. But we now have the cleanest house on the block; every hard surface has been bleached or Lysoled or both and every soft surface has either been through the washing machine or hit with the carpet cleaner. The kids were so sweet when sick. Lots of snuggling and "I love you" between trips to the bathroom or the bucket (as the case may be). It's amazing - what would kill me to do for someone else's kids is not so traumatic when it's my own children.

I'm actually getting my hair done on Friday. I haven't had it cut since the end of August. How's that for embarassing? A girl in my ward does hair so I'm going to try her out, since I haven't been happy with any of the other stylists I've gone to so far. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she's good, but probably just about anything is better than the split ends I'm sporting right now. She and I are also going to work on some hair bows for our girls. That's right, folks. You read it here. I'm crafting. Desperate times call for desperate measures. I can't find anywhere around here that sells cute hair bows. What's an image-conscious mama to do?

My first blog

I'm trying this out to see how things go....I like checking the blogs of friends and family members, so why not my own? It's something to do, since I'm home sick from church today. Here are our recent family Christmas photo pics! I have to admit as I listen to news reports of snowfall throughout the country that I am relieved not to be dealing with large amounts of the white stuff. Pretty though it is, it's dang cold and have you ever had to clean up after 2 or 3 kids have been playing out in the snow?! If you have, then you understand what I'm talking about. Holy mess, Batman! Anyhoo, it's sunny and in the 50's lately around here, so the kids can still ride bikes and play in the backyard.
