Pee pee and Poopies

Such a funny night tonight. It all started when I undressed Kate for her bath. I set her on the bathroom floor and turned around to test the water. I turn back around and see the little cutie-pie sitting in a yellow puddle. Quiet a large puddle too. How can so much pee come out of something so little? Anyway, so I clean it up and put her in the tub. A few seconds later some little bubbles floating up from the behind area. How cute. Too bad it was followed by a few little poopies. Yikes! Out of the tub you go. I drain and clean the mess while the poor shivering child crawls away. Ok, tub is clean I go to find the little munchkin to finish the bath and what do I find. Oh nice. A steaming pile of @#$%* in the living room. Again, how does so much come out of one so small. So, Chad got a turn cleaning poop while I rinsed the child, drained and clean the tub - AGAIN, then quickly bathed her before anything else could come out of her. Ohhhh, what a little darling.
P.S. I chose not to post a picture of this as not to offend our more sensitive viewers.

Get a Kleenex

If you want to read something very special and touching, click here. I don't know this family but their story is incredible. As a mother, my biggest fear is losing a child. I think these people have amazing faith and help me remember what families are all about. Get ready to cry though, it is a heartbreaker.

Thanks

Thank you to all you dear, sweet, ladies for your suggestions about helping the headaches. I will definitely try to drink more water. You guys are all so sweet and I wish we all lived close so we could go to lunch! That's what we'll have to do in the next life. Lunch at Celestial Cafe. Please tell me we will still have chips and salsa after death.

Headache

Since I've had Kate, I have had such horrible headaches. Is it because of Kate? I don't think so - well, it might be helpful if she didn't wake up before 7am every morning. I've tried to figure out what causes them. Is it something I eat? Is it hormones? Is it too little sleep? Is it not eating enough or eating too much? I don't know. I have come to the conclusion that they are hormonal/genetic. My mom, aunts, and grandma have all had bad headaches in their lives. Especially during their childbearing years so I think I am just doomed. Doomed, doomed, doomed. So, I will just sit here on the couch in my pajamas and put off cleaning the house. Possibly I will have some chocolate. And here's a shout out to Ibuprofen - my drug of choice.

Life As We Know It

Here's a little update to our lives. For the Dean Family...and anyone else who is interested.

Chad:
Right now the poor guy has a little cold. Actually we are all sick with colds. Fun, fun. Anyway, Chad is busy with school and work. He works 10 hours a week doing research for his advisor and 20 hours a week for the Church. His job for the Church is a great opportunity for him working at the Church Office Building in the Correlation Dept. He is working on helping with research for the CES. He enjoys this internship/job but doesn't enjoy the fact that he is gone from early Mon. morning until Tues. night. His current calling in our ward is Gospel Doctrine Teacher. Chad is also my handy-dandy computer guy and always helps me download the pictures off our camera - something I seem to have a mental block about doing.

Wendi:
I am just busy keeping the house clean, everyone fed, the laundry done, etc. You know the usual exciting life of a mom. I really miss Chad when he is in Salt Lake every week but Carter and Kate keep me company. I am still working part time in Labor and Delivery which keeps me tired. Two weeks ago I had my first real Code Blue. Luckily both the patient and I survived. I, however, didn't stop shaking for several hours. I just bought my first swimming suit in eight years. Yikes! I'm hoping to spend some pool time with the kids this summer so I thought I would be brave. Does anyone know a good brand of self-tanning lotion? Because, dang. My legs are white.

Carter:
Carter is so sweet and cute and such a little pain in the neck. I feel bad because sometimes he makes me crazy and I seriously want to send him packing but fortunately for him, he can also be very sweet. He tells me several times a day, "I love ya Mom." And he loves to hug and kiss Kate all the time. He loves chocolate chip pancakes and wants them every day. He is excited for Easter and was so enamored with "Beeps" (Peeps) which I introduced him to last week. His favorite movie right now is Cars and he loves all things with wheels. He also loves "Little Critter" books by Mercer Mayer (very cute if you've never seen them). He is a Sunbeam at Church now and loves singing time. He has a hard time going by himself sometimes but we're working on that.

Kate:
Kate is our little sweetie. She is all smiles and batting of eyes. I think she knows she's a little princess and already likes to play dressups, which at this point involves putting any article of clothing or towel on her head or wrapped around her neck. She usually likes Carter's hugs but has also become very adept at shoving him off when he gets a little too "huggy." She says a handful of words and really loves her water cup. Her favorite foods are string cheese and turkey lunch meat. Oh, and she likes pancakes too.

So, there you have it. The Bohn Family in a blogshell. We love each other and are happy. What more could you ask for. Well, I know I could ask for a dishwasher but that's a whole other blog entry.

Top 10 Reasons I Don't Update My Blog

10. I am tired
9. My kids are tired
8. Chad is tired/hungry
7. I had to wash my hair...and then I had to dry it
6. Chad is gone all the time with the computer
5. I am at work
4. I had to clean the house
3. I had to do laundry
2. I had to clean the house again after I did laundry

And the number 1 reason I don't update my blog is....

1. I can't think of anything funny, "instertressing" (interesting, as Carter would say), or witty to say.

Sorry folks.
