If You Scratch My Back...

Isn't that so cute? Carter offers to scratch our backs sometimes and Kate is always up for a good rub. She must take after her momma. By the way, tonight's FHE went much better than last week and there was no yelling involved. Very nice.

The Yelling Mom

Ok, I need help. My kids drive me crazy and it seems they won't listen to me unless I'm yelling. I'm really tired of it and I'm sure they are too. In fact, tonight, Carter said, "Mom, you're scary." Well, little boy, you're annoying. (People, people. Don't worry, I didn't say that to him.) But really. I love my kids and I feel bad that almost every night ends in an angry mom. I pray for help and they just get worse. Hmmm. Wonder what that means? I know this is probably a trial designed to make me some exceptionally patient and wonderful person. So far, not really working. I think I need a really long vacation that involves no grocery shoppping with toddler and preschooler. No bathing and brushing of teeth of toddler and preschooler. And definitely NOT trying to have a successful FHE with toddler and preschooler! Let's just say it did not go well (and the lesson was on obedience). *sigh*

When It Freezing Rains...

it pours. My week in review:


Locked out of the house in a snow storm and 10 degree weather with no coat and two crying kids. Luckily Tanner came to the rescue and took us to my Mom's house to wait all day for Chad to come home from SLC. At least we had somewhere warm to wait.

I had to leave my groceries outside to stay cold while we waited for Chad to get home and some kind of critter got into them and ate every last scrap of $7/lb lunch meat I had splurged on.

Another flat tire. Don't think this one was sabotaged but still waiting for Chad to get home and look at it.

My tooth broke and I had to get my first crown put on. Yeah for $350 dollars to make me a queen!

With all this being said though I am very grateful that we are all healthy and safe. I just think it's interesting how bad things come in bunches. Please just let us be done with the bad for the year. Pretty please.

Now, here's some pictures....just because.

Here's cute little Carter who asked me this week if there's a baby inside me yet (there's not). And then he proceeded to ask me how the baby gets inside me. Uhhh. "We'll talk in detail about that when you're older," I said. Last week we had the whole talk about how the baby gets out which strangely, I was much more comfortable discussing.

And here's sweet Katers. She is getting her 9th tooth this week. Yeah! Maybe she'll actually be able to eat real food by the age of 18. I guess it will save on dental bills and we won't have to pay for braces if she has no teeth.
