How to watch La Liga in China

China Media Group (CMG) has acquired non-exclusive LaLiga media rights from 2024-25 to 2026-27. For the first time in nearly a decade, matches are broadcast live in HD on state-owned television. Users in China can watch LaLiga live on CCTV-5+ for free while live-streaming on video-on-demand service CCTV+. In addition, viewers can watch bonus LaLiga content, such as highlights, on Android and iOS smartphones, tablets, computers, and other devices via CCTV’s multi-platform app.

iQIYI holds non-exclusive LaLiga digital rights in China from 2024-25 to 2026-27. The OTT (over-the-top) subscription-based provider offers live and on-demand streaming of select LaLiga matches on various platforms. Fans in China can stream LaLiga live and watch match highlights via the Sports Channel on iQIYI, the iQIYI Sports App, iQIYI’s website (iq.com), and QIYI TV. Subscribers can stream iQIYI’s LaLiga content on multiple devices, including mobiles and tablets (Android and iOS), smart TVs (Samsung, LG, Hisense), and computers.

State-owned Chinese streaming service Migu Video is the exclusive La Liga broadcaster in China, thanks to a four-year rights deal covering the 2026-2030 TV cycle.

As a result, soccer fans in China can stream all 380 La Liga matches per season on the Migu Video app or its official website, as well as access additional Spanish top-flight content. This includes highlights, video-on-demand content, and short-form clips, with Migu’s coverage of the Spanish Primera División featuring Chinese localization.

This rights deal allows Chinese viewers to watch some of the best players and most illustrious European clubs on Migu, including the iconic “El Clásico” match-ups between Spanish heavyweights Barcelona and Real Madrid, along with the always-heated Madrid Derby.

The streaming service secured this four-year rights extension following the 2026 FIFA World Cup, an event largely dominated by La Liga players, with nearly half of those involved in the Spain vs. Argentina final (24 out of 52 players) playing in the Primera División.

It's important to note that Migu is a freemium streaming service, meaning that while certain content is available for free, its premium sports content requires a subscription. Additionally, Migu streams in up to 4K UHD quality, though 4K availability may vary by individual event or feed.

To stream live La Liga games in mainland China, viewers can download the Migu Video app or visit the streaming service’s official website on a PC or Mac. The Migu app is compatible with several smartphones and tablets, including Android and iOS devices, and is also accessible on various internet-connected and streaming devices like smart TVs and Android-based TVs. Furthermore, the Migu Video app offers the ability for viewers to cast content onto a TV.

In China, fans can watch live La Liga matches on QQ Sports Live, available on both TV and streaming platforms. Coverage is confirmed for seasons 2024-2027.

DAZN operates the official LaLiga Channel worldwide through a two-season partnership covering 2025-26 and 2026-27. The channel is free to access globally and is available only on the DAZN platform.

Programming includes matchday highlights of every game, LaLiga-produced content, and additional non-live formats. The service is positioned alongside DAZN's existing football properties, which feature UEFA competitions, FIFA+ programming, Serie A, Bundesliga, and the J.League.

DAZN already holds live LaLiga rights in Spain and carries coverage in markets such as Portugal, Italy, Germany, Austria, Japan, and Belgium. The LaLiga Channel adds a global highlights package to those existing agreements.
