Baby Blessing

Today we had the opportunity to bless Keegan at church. He's such a good boy and a wonderful addition to our family. (I think I'm on a high since he slept for 7 straight hours last night!!) He has such a sweet spirit and is definitely loved by many. I'm so thankful to both our familes for dragging themselves to church at 8 am to be there for us! We love you guys and really do appreciate it! Doesn't he look so handsome all dressed in white! I just love it. And I love that he and Caden wore the same outfit! Nice job boys!

I think Big Brother was pretty proud too. When Jay was walking up to the front for the blessing, Caden said - "Good luck Keegan!" I just love that boy and how much he loves his brother.

The Big 80!!

My Grandma Gwen turned the big 80 in February and we had a big celebration to honor her. She's such an amazing woman and I'm so glad to call her my grandma. I'm so grateful for her presence in our lives and her dedication to family and friends. She's so awesome and we love her dearly.

Here she is with her siblings. She is the youngest of 13 kids and these are the ones that are still alive. It was so nice to have all of them gather together to celebrate and honor Gwen.

This is Grandma with some of her grandkids and their spouses. And here she is with some of her Great Grandkids (she has 16 total!). She loves those kids so much and I'm so glad that my boys have an opportunity to get to know her and visit with her often.

Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Jordan Proctor

I can't believe my baby bro got married! I guess he's not that much of a baby anymore - but he'll always be my baby bro! So congrats to the bride and groom. Your wedding was beautiful and we wish you guys the best! Friday was a long day for my little guy - but then again, what isn't too long for a 2 year old with a 5 second attention span. He did good and loved being at the Temple - mostly to play in the tree's, but that's ok. He's definitely all boy!!

What a Weekend!!!

Oh my goodness, where do I begin. Beware - our week was quite eventful, so you have a earful to read!!

Well, our weekend pretty much started on Wednesday when I got a call from my dad that my Grandpa Homer Proctor had passed away and his services were going to be on Saturday in Provo, UT. After a discussion with Jay, we decided it would be best to leave the boys at home and I would ride up with my parents alone. 11 hours is a long time in a car with a newborn and a 2 year old - and I will say, it was Jay's idea!! But I'm thankful I had the opportunity to go with all my siblings. It was actually kind of fun to have the "original Proctor Klan" together again without spouses or kids.

Our plan was to leave early Friday morning and go to the services on Saturday, then head home Saturday night so that we could be home for Easter on Sunday. Whelp, wouldn't you know it, Friday morning around 1, Keegan got up with a fever of 101.7. So, I was up with him until around 4:30 am when Jay got up and was trying to help care for the little guy. After we got him settled and his fever down (with the help of Motrin of course!) my mom arrived to pick me up for our journey to Utah. So, I left my husband with a sick infant and a wild 2 year old and sat in a car for 11 hours.

Utah was beautiful and the weather was gorgeous. It was a bit on the cold side, but a nice change. It was nice to see some snow on the mountains while we were there. A little reminder that it's not Summer just yet.

The funeral service was wonderful. There was a viewing on Friday night and we had a wonderfully unexpected guest in attendance. President Monson came and visited for about an hour. Pretty cool, considering he and my grandpa were friends back in their younger days and stayed in touch all these years. He told some fun stories about him and my grandpa and then a bunch about him and his wife! What a wonderful and powerful man! We are so blessed to have him at the head of our church. The services on Saturday were really neat too. I got to hear some fantastic stories about my grandpa - and I realized how my dad got some of the traits he has. I've always referred to my dad as the hardest working man I know - and I think I will until the day I die. Turns out, his dad was just like that! I love seeing things get passed down from generation to generation. Our family has been so blessed and we are so thankful for the many years and good times we had with Homer. He was a great example to all of us and is deeply missed. How wonderful it must be for him now to be reunited with his sweet wife in the heavens above.

After the funeral was complete and we finished hangin' with the fam, we began our journey home. Leaving Provo at around 4:30 pm and driving all night. I got home on Sunday morning around 4 am, about an hour after Jay had put Keegan down. As tired as he was, I still think he was excited to see me. We chatted about the trip and then got up shortly after to feed Keegan. We then began getting for our first Easter and were out of the house by 8:30 am to get to Jay's parents. We started out with a huge Easter egg hunt. Caden and his cousin Nicholas got to hunt for eggs before the big kids found them all. Wouldn't you know it, Caden managed to find 71 eggs (there were 180 total!) He now has plenty of candy and change for his money bank. After a nice lunch with the family, we headed home for a quick nap before heading out to my parents for dinner. My sweet grandma made an Easter dinner and brought it over so that my mom wouldn't have to cook. We enjoyed some good food and then let the little kids search for some eggs. By the time we got home it was 9:00 pm and way past every one's bedtime.

As crazy as a weekend it was, we definitely had blast being together on Sunday. Keegan is starting to feel better (Daddy took good care of him while I was gone!) and we will hopefully get some rest tonight. I'm just grateful for the opportunity I had to go to Utah and be there for my family and not have to worry about my kids at home. Jay did such a great job with them - even if they were an extreme handful! I guess that's why God made a mom and a dad - because one just isn't enough sometimes..

Oh my gosh - I'm so excited.. My fabulous little sister is getting married!! I'm so happy for them! They are super cute and I couldn't have picked a better person to take care of her for eternity.. You guys are awesome and I can't wait for the big day!! SO - here's to you -

Oh my Keegan

I can't believe my little guy is already a month old. He's such a blessing to our family and we treasure every day..

Here's a few things we've already learned about our little man..

- He absolutely hates to be cold.. (I guess we live in the right state for this one!)

- He fights going to sleep - I think he's afraid he's going to miss something.

- He loves to be rocked! - I'm definitely enjoying this one since Caden hated it..

- He can fart with the best of them!! But what guy can't!!

- He loves his big brother - every time he hears Caden's voice he is looking all around for him..

- He's tough - anyone who can handle Caden pushing and hitting on them all day is definitely tough.

- He's not a fan of bath time. He pretty much cries the whole time, even with Caden in the bath too.

I love learning about him and his little personality. He's such a wonderful part of our family. We love you bud!!

Smiles!!!

I was so excited that I finally caught most of Keegan's smiles on camera. I know it's just he gas talking (cause he has plenty of that!!), but I love when he smiles.. It's more of a smirk, but close enough for only 3 weeks old.. Hopefully there will be lots more smiles to come!!! And I couldn't help but put this picture up. It's the boys first Sunday together at church. They did so good. Caden was having a blast with him hopefully they continue to have a blast together!!!

Exhausted!!

While at home the other day we were all trying to relax since I feel like I really haven't slept in a few weeks. Jay was messing around with his new putter and when he walked into the family room, this is what he saw.... A sleeping mommy and baby!!
And a passed out Caden!!

Ha!! The joys of kids - I don't think I will ever get rest again!! But they are so worth it!!

First Soccer Adventure

I finally decided I was ready to get back on the soccer field! It's been over 9 months since I played and I was definitely going thru withdrawls. Jay and I decided it would be fun to bring the boys (thanks to Kristina and Papa for watching them!) to watch Mom and Dad play together again - since Caden doesn't remember Mom ever playing soccer. All he talks about is Dad's soccer game. It makes me so sad and I want him to know that Mom and Dad play together.

It was a little rough start, but I think I managed pretty well considering it's only been 2 1/2 weeks since Keegan was born. And I even managed to score 3 goals!! A good welcoming back to the game I'd say!

Big brother knows Best

The other morning Caden told me that Keegan wanted to watch Mickey Mouse with him. I laughed and decided I would play along with him. He said that Keegan wanted to lay on the couch while watching the show. So after putting him on the couch Caden layed down next to him and cuddled with him. Then he proceeded to tell me that Keegan wanted Lightening McQueen blanket too.. Awe, such a good big brother taking care of the little one!
I just love these two!!

Bath Time!!

Caden has been dying to take a bath with his brother since forever and since Keegan couldn't stand his bath by himself I decided to give it a try. They definitely have a better time bathing together.
