Big Boy Bath

I have finally felt comfortable enough to let Keegan sit up in the bath tub. He had so much fun and definitely enjoyed bath time more. I can't believe how big my boys are getting!!

Black Toes

I was painting my toes the other day while Jay and Caden went out to run errands. I was just about finished when the boys walked in the door. Caden, being the curious boy that he is, wanted to know exactly what I was doing and why. He kept pestering me to have his toes painted like Mommy's. I finally caved and painted his toes. The ONLY reason I did was because it was black and not pink or something. Jay was less than thrilled when he saw. I just had to get a picture before I took it off!


Poor kid, I've got blackmail on him forever!!!

Proud Parent!

I couldn't be more proud of my little guy than I am right now. Every night at dinner we ask Caden if he wants to say the prayer. Our responses have varied greatly but lately he has been very enthusiastic about saying it. He always needs help after he says Heavenly Father, but not tonight. I sat there as patiently as I could and my little guy rattled off the sweetest prayer I have ever heard. My eyes had welled with tears before he even said Amen. I was so proud - he is listening when we talk. I couldn't be more proud of my little guy than I am right now.

Not that Special!!

I always knew there were tons of Jenny's and Jennifer's. I always had another Jennifer in my class at school or on my soccer team. One year there were actually four Jennifer's on my soccer team! It was because of this that I went by my last name, Proctor, and still do when it comes to sports. Well, turns out my married name is a lot more common than I thought.

Half a Year

I can't believe my little Keeg-ster is already 6 months old. He's getting so big. We've enjoyed watching him grow and learn new things. He's slowly becoming more independent, which I love. He can sit up by himself and loves to play with his feet. He can also get up on all fours and try to crawl. He does the little butty shake thing and it cracks me up. Once he does get some moving going on it's usually backwards. He adores his brother and is trying to take in everything he does. He's healthy and happy - which is what we all hope for. I took him for his 6 month check-up and he weighs 18.8 lbs, so he's definitely not deprived when it comes to food. He loves to eat his fruits and veggies, just like his brother. Happy 6 months Keegan!!

I'm a Big Boy Now!

We told Caden that when he went pee pee in the potty he could get a fish. Well that day has finally come. He's still not 100% potty trained but he did manage to make it to the potty today more times than he had accidents!! YEAH!! I'm so excited - there is an end in sight for diapers after all (at least for this one!) Here's Jay and Caden looking at all the different fish. We didn't realize what an ordeal picking fish was.

Here's the fish tank all set up with the fish in it. We got 5 total and Caden named all of then Nemo. At least it will be easy to remember their names!

Rock Band

Caden has this new obsession with Rock Band. His Uncle Joel has it and brings it to Sunday dinner so we can all enjoy the fun. Caden loves the drums and will sit and play forever. I finally decided now was a good time to get his drum set down from his closet to play (it's been there since he was 3 weeks old). He was so excited and kept asking if he could play his Rock Band. Here he is rocking out.. He was so excited and having a blast! Hopefully it won't make me too crazy!!

He Loves Me Too!!

I was having a really bad few days and Jay definitely took notice. SO, when I got home from work yesterday I found these.. A dozen beautiful white roses and some nerds and cinnamon gum. He also made some yummy steak for dinner and cleaned the kitchen afterwards! It's amazing how the little things can definitely brighten my day!

He also had this laying on the bed for me. So sweet and romantic. Thanks babe - you definitely brightened my day!!!

Because we LOVE Daddy!!!

Jay has been really busy with work (which is great!) but his "daddy chores" around the house have begun to suffer from so much work. So I decided it was time to tackle the tasks myself (with Caden and Keegan's help of course!) to brighten Jay's day and help ease his stress.. So, I asked Jay to take the truck to work and I would drive the car. After I put Keegan back to bed around 5:30 am, I took advantage of the "nice" weather outside and washed Jay's car for him. It was quite the task since I hate washing cars, but I did it and that's what counts. Here's Jay's sparkling clean car. Don't worry, the rain that's suppose to be here tomorrow will fix that real fast.

After my car washing efforts I was feeling a bit energized. So the boys and I had breakfast and then I mowed the lawn. Now mind you this is the second time in my entire life that I have mowed the lawn so it was quite the adventure. It was actually kinda fun, but only because I didn't do the weed-wacker thing (it's brutal to my shins so I don't touch it!). Caden was my little helper as I mowed and it was hilarious. When it came time to empty the bag of grass I couldn't figure out how to take it off.. After a little while of tugging Caden says, just lift and pull - and sure enough it worked.

When I was just about finished with the lawn Caden had gone inside and got Popsicles for us. After I put the mower away Caden asked if I was done yet. When I told him I was he got all excited and gave me my Popsicle for a job well done. Then he looked over the lawn and said, "you did pretty good Mom!" Thanks bud - I couldn't have done it without you.

All that hard work can make one tired, so I decided it was time to take a break and go swimming. We headed over to my mom's and enjoyed an afternoon full of more sun and some water! Definitely a nice way to end all the hard work.

(on a side note - he loved it so much he's treating me to Carrabba's Italian Grill for dinner!! I knew all that hard work was worth it!)
