Warning - keep out of reach of Caden!!!!!

Saturday night Jay and I decided to go out with some friends. We decided on dinner at Claim Jumper and a movie (I really wanted to see What Happens in Vegas!) So after a nice yummy dinner, we headed over to the AMC to catch our flick. Just as we had entered the theater Jay received a phone call from his dad (aka - the sitter for the night!). Well, if you know Jay's family, then you know that cars are a big deal and the '84 Supra is a REALLY big deal!!! It's the prized possession and all Bott boys would freak if something were to happen to this sweet car! This Supra has a really cool feature that some other cars have - it can be started from the remote. Comes in handy when it's cold and you want to warm up the car before getting in - you know what I mean. Well, when a 2 year old gets a hold of the remote - Beware!!! Well, not just any 2 year old - my 2 year old!!! He's quite the inquisitive child who will do anything you tell him not to! Papa told him NOT to touch the remote - so of course my child just had to touch it! Well, this is what you get..... The wing of this beautiful (expensive) Supra has been ripped off!!! Yes, ripped of. How you ask, by the garage! Yes, the garage. After Caden pushed the right buttons on the remote, the car started. Well, the car is shut off in reverse, so when the car started, it took off. It backed out tearing off the garage door and stopping across the street amongst rocks and a brick wall!!

Not only did this beautifully restored Supra have the pleasure of getting some beauty marks, but so did the '08 Accord and the '89 RX-7 as well.

This is the garage as we walked up from our night out. We decided to stay at the movie since there really wasn't anything we could do about the situation anyway. Thank goodness there are garage companies that work that late at night.

I am very thankful that nobody was injured and that Caden wasn't in the car when all this happened. We talked to him about the whole thing and I don't think he understands it completely. He does know that Papa's garage and car are broken and that he needs to fix them, but that's about it. Poor kid - he's damaging cars already and he's not even 16!!

I know that it's not a funny thing, but all I could do was laugh as Jay was telling me what had happened. I've learned over the years that you either laugh or cry and I choose to laugh. I think it was more funny because it didn't happen at my house and to my garage! But I am totally sorry to Dan and Joyce and hope that everything gets taken care of. Hopefully Caden has learned a little bit about listening and not touching car remotes!

Demoted...

I've officially been demoted to the back seat of the truck! Thanks to my sweet little Keegan, I can no longer enjoy the front seat. My precious little angel cries hysterically whenever we get in the car, so I have now resorted to riding in the back to keep the little guy happy. So far, so good. I guess it's a good thing my back side isn't any bigger or I wouldn't fit between two car seats!! This is my seat between the boys!!

But I do get to watch The Bee Movie everywhere we go!!

The Rhino

My parents decided they needed a toy at their house for the grandkids to play with and wouldn't you know this is what they picked! They couldn't have picked anything better. The kids absolutely love it. Caden was not shy at all about jumping in the drivers seat and taking Lily for a ride. They are so cute. I just love it. Plus, now I don't have to buy one - we can just borrow Grammy & Big Al's. The kids in action. Caden did pretty good considering he could barely reach the pedal. I'm just glad he won't be 16 for a long time!
Ty hitched a ride in the back! We call him Caden's bodyguard since he's bigger than Caden (my little guy is gonna be short!) He got a new summer hair do like Caden and he looks so rough and tough.

How time flies...

I can't believe my little man is 3 months old already! It seems like just yesterday I was coming home from the hospital with him. He's growing up and it makes me sad - soon I won't have a baby anymore. Keegan is quite the needy boy. He loves to be held and talked to. He doesn't like when Mommy or Daddy ignores him (or pays attention to anyone but him!) He is not the biggest fan of sleeping - but still manages to sleep for 9 hours straight every night (thank goodness!!). He loves his brother like crazy and is definitely a fan of water because of him. He doesn't like to be left out of anything and wants to do like the big kids do (he tries so hard!) He has this giggle that is contagious and can some how put a smile on anyone's face! My sweet boy - don't grow up too fast! Enjoy being young and know that Mommy, Daddy & Caden love you bunches!!!

Happy Mother's Day

When I think of Mother's Day I instantly think of - my MOM of course. She is the absolute best! I love her dearly and couldn't have made it through my many trials in life without her. She is always supporting me no matter what I do. She is my best friend and biggest fan. I will forever remember the MANY trips to Cali for soccer tournaments. Our car rides were the best thanks to The Beach Boys. She has definitely been a wonderful example of what a mother is and should be. I'm so grateful to have her in my life and I'm so glad that my boys are able to get to know her and see why I love her so much. Mom - this day's for you! So enjoy it and know that I love you more than words can say!!!

As Jay so wonderfully reminds me, I am a mother also. Sometimes I don't feel old enough to be a mother, but when I look at my two little angels (or monsters) I'm so grateful to my Father in heaven who blessed me with these precious boys. They are the light of my life and my pride and joy. I thank my husband every day for giving me the greatest blessings of my life. Boys - thanks for letting me be your Mom (not that you really had a choice or anything!). Thanks for the good times and bad - without the bad we wouldn't realize how good the good actually is! You guys are the best and thank you for a fantastic Mother's Day!!

The boys and I were able to make a trip to Gilbert (aka B.F.E.) on Thursday to see Jami and her kiddos - finally!! It's been way too long! I must say I was a bit worried about the drive since I have a baby who cannot stand the car and Gilbert is way too far away from Surprise. But he did surprisingly well - slept the whole way there and 3/4 of the way home! Way to go Keegan!! We met at the super cool McDonalds. And let me tell you, this was definitely the coolest McDonalds I've ever seen. The play area was fantastic and clean!! Caden was in heaven playing on all the toys. Brooklin was in heaven too - only she was holding Keegan instead of playing. She was so good with him - a little mom!! Keegan just loved the attention she was giving him. Thanks Brooklin for taking such great care of him!
Here's Linkin playing at McDonalds. She's a climber and I love it. Her and Caden were standing up here together, but Caden climbed down when he saw me grab the camera!
Jami and I tried to take a picture of ourselves at the outdoor mall - Santan something or other. They have a really fun water area and play area that's fantastic for kids. So, we took the kids over to run in the water and play for a while. They had a blast running all over the place.
Here's the 4 kids after playing in the water (Linkin, Caden, Brooklin & Kole). What a wild bunch! We better watch out for these 4 - they're already trouble makers! But aren't they so CUTE!!!
Thanks Jami for meeting us and spending the afternoon with my crazy boys! We had a blast! We will definitely have to do it again soon. And by soon I don't mean 6+ months!! HA!!
