Christmas Time

We had such a fun Christmas with the boys this year. Caden is at such a fun age. Santa and the whole Christmas thing was in full swing.

We started our festivities with Christmas eve at the Bott's. This year we did things a bit different. We opened up all our presents from Jay's parents on Christmas eve. The boys had so much fun and were spoiled immensely. Caden loved the guitar he got because it's like Rock Band! Keegan was more into paper and boxes than presents, but that's OK. We had such a wonderful time with Jay's family. Thanks Dan and Joyce for everything.

This was the first year since we've been married that we didn't have to go anywhere on Christmas morning until 9. We enjoyed every minute of our morning together. Jay helped me make some yummy breakfast pizza to enjoy after some fun opening presents. Caden was so excited to get his bike. All he's talked about for the last few months is wanting a big tricycle. He loves it and hopefully will learn to pedal and steer so he can upgrade to a real bike! Keegan wasn't too sure what was going on, but I think he liked the tricycle as much as Caden.

After breakfast we headed over to Nana's house for some yummy Mexican food and gift exchange. Almost all of Jay's mom's side of the family comes and it's so fun to see cousins and visit with family.

After some fun times with the Bott family, we headed over to my parents house for another gift exchange and some yummy dinner! Thanks Mom and Dad for such a great Christmas! We love you guys!

Proctor Birthday's

Once a month my family gets together to celebrate birthdays. December is full of birthdays, including Caden's. So, on Sunday we all got together for dinner and another Car cake. It's always so much fun getting together with my family! Here are some pics of the birthday kids!

Too much fun at Ms. Janet's

I got a call at work on Friday from our sitter, Ms. Janet, wanting to know if Caden could ride the horses next door. Caden loves the horses and gets to pet them all the time, but I haven't let him ride them. Well, I finally agreed as long as someone was sitting with him and in arms reach. When I went to pick up the boys that afternoon, Ms. Janet has these pictures waiting for me! Thank you Ms. Janet for taking pictures!!

Chunker hits 10 months

I can't believe my baby is 10 months old, how time flies! He's getting so big and fat too. I love his baby fat and chub! He's slowly getting more independent, but is still a Mama's boy. He doesn't like baby food and could eat french fries all day long. He also loves to play with his brother and is slowly learning to hold his own against him. Standing and attempting to walk are his favorite things and I can't wait to see him running after Caden to play. He's got attitude and will let you know he's not happy if you don't hold him, but once you pick him up the smile he gives you makes it all worthwhile. I can't wait to see him on Christmas morning with presents and wrapping paper everywhere! I love you Chunk!!

My Caden

I know it's already over a week past Caden's birthday, but I feel like he got the shaft with his birthday blog. Now that I finally have a minute to relax, I figured it was time for a appropriate post all about Caden.

Caden is a stubborn boy and has been right from the start. He was not ready to come in November, when he was due and finally graced us with his presence December 4, 2005. Labor was long and crazy, but he finally entered the world at 5:14 pm. He was a beautiful boy weighing 7 lbs, 9 oz and 21 in long - just perfect! The birth of Caden and the moments surrounding his first few days of life were crazy to say the least, but we survived and so did he.



Thankfully at 8 weeks he started sleeping through the night (8am to 8pm) and I couldn't have been more thrilled! He was a really good baby who could entertain himself if necessary, but loved all the attention we smothered him with. Caden started walking at 9 months and hasn't stopped moving since. He's a busy boy who is always on the go (hum, I wonder who he got that from!)


Caden is such a sweet boy. He is definitely stubborn and has his own agenda, but is also very considerate of others. He does not like to see people sad and always offers a hug and kiss to anyone who looks like they need it! We've had our moments of craziness for sure (permanent marker on the leather couch, wire cutters to brother's arm, etc!) but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Party Time

We were able to celebrate Caden's birthday with Jay's family last night. All of his brothers along with Joyce and Elysia came over to celebrate with us. We had a blast. After some yummy pizza, Jay finally made it home just in time for presents (he was working all week in Vegas)

Happy Birthday Bubba

I can't believe I have a 3 year old. I know he's only 3, but he's so grown up to me. He's getting too big too fast. Jay was gone for Caden's actual birthday so I tried to make it extra special. Hopefully he loved spending time with me as much as I enjoyed his company. First thing in the morning I woke Caden up and gave him a little present to get him through the day. I had to work until noon, so our hang out time was after lunch. I decided to take him to go see Bolt. He was so excited to go to the movie theater. I didn't realize it was in 3-D but that's ok. Caden enjoyed wearing his glasses and I thought it was a really cute movie. Here are a few shots of our day together.

The Gift of Giving

The boys and I were wondering around the mall today and we walked by the Salvation Army Christmas Angel trees. Caden was very curious about the trees so I took the opportunity to teach him a little but about giving to those less fortunate. So, we picked an angel - Batista - a little 2 yr old boy. I figured I could handle buying gifts for a boy. It took Caden a bit to get the idea of buying for someone other than himself, but in the end I think he enjoyed himself. Hopefully he's learned a thing or two about giving to those in need.
