Finally, I gave in to temptation, I decided to sit down peacefully and write down my memories lest I forgot them one or two years down the road.
Met up with my several groups of friends for the xmas exchange, I got vouchers for the second year running, and a nice blacky mini organizer for the new year which will come into good use. From fine dining @ Indochine to Japanese cuisine, it’s a substitute for xmas turkey feast. Got together with the villagers for the “AGM” to sum up the events for the year as well to celebrate ks birthday in advance. It was kinda sleepless for those nights out with friends…. Nightmares have come back to haunt me in my sleep, wasn’t really sleeping well lately, I missed my afternoon naps and I dunno what have I been busy with. Christmas was spent without meaning, bring murdered by FR, I’m really full of regrets.
Amazing race is finally back after the xmas season, and I was still watching, it was quite a stupid mistake to leave the clue with those passer-by, and a miracle for those people to keep the clue when they know that the duo will come back for the clue. Next elimination, wish for Nicholas and Donald to be out coz old man means useless man.
School is a trouble lately, weekend’s supposed to be a happy day, but it’s always spoilt by Mr FR. The lecture was really heavy and everything was new to me, consolidated accounts really want to make me pull my hair off, he not only extends the lecture to make it a full four hour and he …… WL, I really cannot accept his method of teaching in this kind of adult learning environment……
12 noon >>> Class is supposed to start.
12.05pm >>> I’ve reached, but there’s no notes to take.
Lecturer: Please put your 27 questions on the table, I’m coming round to check. He starts his inspection.
Me: Busy sms-ing, come quickly!!!! He’s locking the doors……..
12.30pm >>> He’s in front of me, flashing a perverted grin…..
Lecturer: How many questions have you done?
Me: 15
Lecturer: Which questions are those?
Me: Mostly from the back
Lecturer: Have you done question1?
Me: Nope
Lecturer: Try that, maybe I’ll ask you that next week.
Me: …………..
12.30pm >>> A female student stroll in.
Lecturer: Please go back, don’t come in, happy new year to you, see you next year….
12.35pm >>> A hairy male student came in.
Lecturer: Please go back, happy new year, see you next year…
12.45pm>>> Inspection completed, one by one, we have to go to him to retrieve a new set of notes, group accounting (nightmare is here…)
2.00pm >>> At last stopped for the break, I dashed for the toilet……
3.00pm >>> I thought to myself, what time are we ending? I need the toilet ….. He continue to teach, I tried to concentrate, but peeping the clock at every minute, hoping that it will end, it is really straining my brain cells, I can’t absorb so much in a day.
3.30pm >>> A girl packs her bag and walked out of the LT
Lecturer: (started barking) Please have the courtesy to let me know if you want to leave early, I remember that girl and I will question her next lesson.
4.00pm >>> WooHooo, finally ended, packed up and dashed for the ladies.
Met my sec school friend, who came back from Australia to catch up on those lost time, we talked for quite some time on the past, present and future. Time really flies and those were really the good old times, really missed those good memories when we were a big family.
This upcoming week will be crucial to determine how much knowledge I instill in me, for there are assignments to be submitted every lesson, and continuous pressure from Mr FR to continue and complete the 28 questions, (it’s really driving me crazy). I don’t look forward to the countdown coz that will mean less time for me to complete my assignments.
Recap of major happenings during the year:
all went well,
finished a year of studies with unexpected results,
spent billions of seconds thinking about nothing.
Wishlist for the new year:
Excel in my studies,
Happiness and good health to everyone,
Hope that I strike lottery, big big (but never really buy),
So that I can have a short getaway.
Good bye, 2007

A Truck-load of Advanced Xmas Gifts
I just surfed TAR12 leader board, Azaria and Hendekea was eliminated, I was quite shocked though it’s still not time for the encore telecast, they had been dealing with all obstacles so well and yet they’re OUT…..
I dunno why lecturers are so “kind” to dump us with Christmas presentssss and packagessss over the festive season and towards year end…....

The Lecture Marathon
Torturous!!!! The only word to describe this day, it’s a normal weekend where everybody would be doing something they like or to re-charge for the week, but I was suffering in school, the lecture marathon, I woke up at 7 to attend class, and class ended in the late afternoon, the total break duration only add up to an hour. The morning class was fine, I was still awake but it was freezing cold in the LT, most of the time, I was in wonderland, theory was boring stuff, I couldn’t bring myself to concentrate.
The ½ hour break was heavenly cold, and then when the afternoon lecture start, it almost killed me, yes, killing me by suffocation, throughout the 1st half of the lecture, it was bloody damn stuffy in the lecture theatre, everyone was fanning themselves with lecture notes, and the DEVIL didn’t even make the effort to call logistics to switch on the aircon….. At a certain point in time, I almost felt that I was going to die after breathing in stale air for 1.5 hours. Then for the second half of the lecture, my head was getting bigger, it was too heavy for me to absorb what was being taught, still gotta hang on, everyone initially thought that class would end punctually but the DEVIL extended it for another 1.5 hours in order to finish what he was supposed to teach. He yelled and ranted like a mad dog, telling us he saw students leaving the class halfway during his lecture, a mad dog + a DEVIL, a perfect combination….. After the dismissal, I felt that I was rather deoxygenated from that afternoon lecture; still I was crazy enough to get back home, pick up my lecture notes and pen and revise the lecture.
The Stuart Little 2 on 5 helped me forgot my troubles and also forget whatever that was learned in the day……

thoughts for the week
This week had simply been a roller coaster week. I attended Reuben’s wake with a heavy heart. My studies are weighting we down. My bro hurt his ankle and I was hurt too.
The pain was unbearable I went to the physician to poke some needles into body/ trying to ease the pain but it got worst instead in that very night . I couldn’t get to sleep. The doc advised me not to surf too much coz it will attect my hurting shoulder. Somehow a thought struck me. If there’s something wrong with my shoulder, it would be a perfect excuse for we to give up music. But come to think of it, I wouldn’t want to be a imperfect person. That’s really a naïve thought.
Sometime, I’m starting to miss those time in school; the happily moments in campus. The moment is the happiest when class ended and I happily pack my bag and leave the lecture theatre. That’s the feeling of a bird who’s been jailed in a cape for three hours. Soon, those happiest moments are coming to an end in the next few months as new chapterS of nightmare begin. I wish that time would stop for me, so that I can relive those happy moments.

Life is so unpredictable
I saw the news just now, the 5 missing bodies had been found. I sms fish to confirm if he was the Reuben we knew. I received the reply and my heart sank.
I knew him in person, and we performed for PE concert in the auditorium some year back, he was a great pianist and had a tanned complexion. Back in my SE days, I remembered Adam and Eve always teasing LX and Reuben as a couple. WH always tell me how amazing Reuben would be when he was at the piano, and I saw for myself during the concert that his fingers could really fly on the keys.
Very often, we would take the same bus when I go to work, and I believed that he would go do sea sports wearing a singlet and sports short showing off his tanned biceps and muscles. We had eye contact but we never greet each other. Sometimes when I go home late at night, I see him jogging in the neighbourhood.
Life is so unpredictable, if time would turn back, I hope that he is fine and I would take the initiative to say hello whenever we met. I am really sad for his demise coz he’s a real talent in music and sports.
Life is so fragile and unpredictable; you never know what will happen to you tomorrow. I should learn to have some courage to greet my friends whenever I see them in school or on the street.

Nightmares are back again!
Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial Financial
What the hell am I doing? Why on earth did I make these idiotic decisions? I really should have insisted on my stand right from the start….I hate financial!!!!
It’s really been a long time since my nightmares came back, but it really did…. It started about a week ago, I’ve back to having nightmares in my sleep again….. Those hateful days are back again.
I thought Alsagoff was history, now that history repeats itself, just that there’s 8 years apart. Here’s Mr JxxK yelling like a mad dog in class, treating the 20’s like ignorant and naïve teenagers, I simply can’t accept the way he lecture but I seriously think I’m old enough to know what I’m doing….
The other FINANCIAL lecturer was also a hopeless soul (fat as it is); I really think that I’m being put down by these 2 guys. I CANNOT afford to be unsuccessful in any modules for it determines the next chapter of my life. I don’t want to disappoint and blame myself for any failure that happens.
I’m already trying hard to get down to books but how come it seems that I can’t seem to lessen my burden even though endless days and nights of study. It just seems too plentiful to cope, or it’s too late now to start, coz it’s half a semester gone. Please bless me with more energy, wisdom and concentration in the days to come.

...
It’s approaching “little” weekend tomorrow and I was thinking back of what had been done over the past few days… Started on my revision but seems to be getting nowhere… I’m still thinking hard, JJ tried to encouraged me doing G7 stuff, but I simply lack perseverance and motivation. I dunno what will become of me if I put an end to it….
The usually interesting ICP class yesterday was unusually dry. It made me yawn countless times and nearly put me to sleep.
There’s something interesting just to share; my new “love” and my school.
Mindmap of Singapore

My bro say the cat on the left is "Meow" and i only know my best friend with the brightest yellow and has protruding ears....

Bad Day
It’s not my day, another scolding session in the morning…. I’ve been procrastinating and trying to find ways to put an end to my suffering…. JJ told me that the benchmark is 3 hours a day.
I have a fragile heart,
I am lazy,
I am stubborn,
I realised that I have serious hand-eye coordination,
My learning attitude is wrong,
It's difficult to change my attitude and habit,
and I’m trying to escape reality.
I studied a little for the test, very detailed, but I’m put down by the question paper, I tried to attempt but I think it’s hopeless, how much effort you put in, you will get the same amount of return. I’ll be over the moon if I can get a sympathy one mark out of fifty.
I came home, opened the door, only to see the fishes swimming at amazingly top speed, like tornado round and round the tank, like as if they are crazy fish in action.
My dad came home, he said his phone dropped into the xi han (read in Cantonese), but I wonder what’s inside the xi han….. I’m not going to touch that phone and my bro went to use a hairdryer to blow dry the phone….

The 100th Post
Saturday
School on a rainy day! Can you imagine how I feel???? I was damn sleepy and the lecture was totally un-interesting that it could put me to sleep at any time. I visited my aunt in the afternoon and called another aunt who’s back from holiday. We went to the chalet in the evening to meet up with the others. My cousins and I were crowding over the BBQ pit to help ourselves with the food and together with my uncle, we talked about the old, good times that we had. It just seems that time passes really fast. All the younger cousins have outgrown me vertically…..
Sunday
I stayed over at my aunt’s place to help her do charity selling at the temple. Business was brisk but people whom I dealt with were like 3 to 4 times of my age, and Chinese wasn’t the mainstream language there, I had to speak teochew to them, tell them about the pricing and whatsoever bracelets interest them….

How come it always rained whenever I had morning class???? It’s the 3rd days in 2 weeks when it rained in the morning and I had to attend class. How come it don’t rain in the afternoon??? Why why why…..
I was late for class, 20 minutes late to be exact, but when I walked in, the lecturer only wrote a heading on the board, so he must be talking crap for the past 20 minutes. He was a good soul, despite people coming in 45 minutes after class commences, he still welcomed them in with open arms. He also joked about 2 girls coming to school by Euro Fighter…

The Consolidation
Today
I was in class when the funky lecturer started rhyming copy cat, kiss your rat….. He never fails to brighten up my day despite the cool and rainy morning.
Tuesday
I was having a head start for the FR assignment finally, if not, I really think that he will come chasing after us after roaring at us last Friday. Just do it for the sake of doing, if not, disaster really gonna befall on me. Other assignments are already piling up and I’m still dilly dally all day long.
Sunday
Overslept again, was supposed to be photographer for the Hey Baby 2007….. I was a die-hard fan of Ashley when she took part in the baby contest competition. We were out all day for the contest held over different periods of the day and she was really tired and dozed off a couple of times, but she was disturbed to wake up when she gonna go onto stage. However, she didn’t got a chance to win any prizes but got many bags of goodies which had diapers and milk powder and the most rewarding moment is to snap a shot with celebrity mum Evelyn Tan and going home with the whole pram full of goodies.

Saturday
Dragged myself out of bed to attend class, wasn’t really attentive when David talked about theories, it’s too boring to keep me wide awake. Then the guy in front of me was wearing a red quicksilver tee but on the right side of his back, I noticed a vibrant white logo, which I analyze for a long time and it’s believed that he wore the tee on the wrong side… We had lunch together when we spotted Mediacorp artistes at J8 doing their prelude of Star Awards 2007, present were Bryan Wong, Chen Hanwei, Tay Ping Hui and Dasmond Koh. SH was so excited about getting their autographed photos and I wasn’t bothered at all, I just wanted to go home and zzzz…… I left her there to squeeze and jostle in the crowd and I just simply went home. My bros were simply partying at home, blasting the TV and surfing the web, I went to bed straight despite the noise at home, didn’t had too much sleep before going for MJ session at Ber’s house. Despite the semi-conscious state, I was on winning streak, it’s my birthday month la, sad to say, I’m turning old….

Haha, can't believe it right? I actually went to write a whole complete page of my blog, it really irritates me when i can't blog so this idea struck me....
I love writing so much....

The Comeback
Oh man, my pc is finally up after a week or so, and it's a cheap repair coz of Mrs Tern's referral, thank you so much. Mr M was very sociable and handsome la....
Next, today's is my Ms AT 2Xth birthday, i met her for dinner and now hogging on to her lappy to post my so excited post.... Wish her stay vibrant and happy always, and always follow your heart in whatever you do. Hope that she'll be successful in life and earn lots and lots and lots of $$$$$ in the years to come.
Next, yesterday was my 2xth birthday, as usual, there's nothing to be happy about, coz i'm feeling very old already and i kinda dread birthday. It's just pathetic la, coz mum left me to buy my own cake. I received some gifts from my fellow schoolmates, which i like it very much, esp the happy bear.... It's just another normal day. Oh, i got a birthday wish, which i think nobody will help me fulfil....There's a new piece at JPW and it has ALL the very best of pooh collection. Nevertheless, I told one of my friend to get it for me when she goes to Japan.... The next year, i'll be 2x, and the following i'll be 2x.... It's really scary to hear that i'm growing old...
Next, in school today, Mr JK blew his top when the all the students in his lecture couldn't gave him the answer to his question after a mere 2 weeks holiday.... He sounded like a tiger, a different tone from the normal way he speaks....
Next, yesterday in school, in FM class, kio tried to be copperfield, using her magical power to stick a mentos sweet wrapper on her hand without holding on to it, and ironically she became Loke Kio Copperfield. She allows her photos to be taken so that i could post her to let you see how magical it is, but you know the taboo of magic is that you cannot tell people how the magic is done, therefore i choose not to upload the pictures.
The previous post will be out when i install my printer back home.

LeT me DiE
WL eh, I’m really dead, die, dying, dead, death. My assignments seem to be left untouched and I was like doing dunno-what during the weekends, friends around me are complaining about the same problem as me. Assignments, later later, or too late already, I’ll continue tomorrow, but tomorrow never comes, I’m always able to find excuse-able excuses to convince myself that I’ve already run out of time, then now, I finally started my 2nd draft, but it seems so easy yet difficult. I still owe FR a tutorial which I think I will never make a head-start….. MSM assignment is already in production, but I don’t know if it’s ready on time. Whatever la, no point complaining now, just get things done once and for all, then it’s honeymoon period again….

The un-interesting Life
I’m dead, I’m DEAD….. I’ve neglected my blog, thanks to my busy schedule, school is hectic plus my personal commitment, WL eh…. 24 hours is not enough in a day. I think I’m enlightened bahz, last time I used to rot my time away, but now I’m trying to make use of every single second. Even when I’m sitting there watching TV, sometimes I wouldn’t let my hand idle…. Anyway, a person who thinks that 24 hours a day is not enough should not spent time watching TV also…..
A number game to share:
If you sleep 10 hours in a day, you predict that you could live to 70 years of age, or rather make it 80 la, since ppl now can live a long life.
10/24 * 80 = 33.33 years spent on sleeping
Zzzz 8 hours a day;
8/24 * 80 = 26.67 years in sleep
If you sleep 6 hours a day;
6/24 * 80 = 20 years Zzzzz
4 hours sleeping time,
4/24 * 80 = 13.33 years Zzzzz
So it’s for you to determine how many hours of sleep (time wasted) you need daily….
There was a night class on Wednesday which I hated most, to squeeze with others on the bus and reaching home late in the night. So after class, the 3 of us charged out from school, even to the extent of missing our toilet break, we charged down the stairs from level 3, can you imagine how desperate we were??? Just for a seat in the bus, it’s very worth it….. You hear the slippers, the flip flops and not to forget the high heels charging down the staircase too….
I was reminding mom to bring this and that until i forgot to go for class, and i was very late, i thought i would be the last of my other friends, but they were later than me. Oh, someone was busy doing up her blog and was late for class. Mom went on holiday with her sis (my aunt) on Thursday night, and I was promoted to acting-mum. The night was disastrous, I couldn’t get to sleep, woke up at 2+ and 5+, worried that I missed the time which I had to wake my bro for his school…. Luckily, he got up on his own, and I went back to bed, shortly later, I woke up 7+, brush up and go for music class, WL eh, it’s so early, will it be another time that my fingers can’t work well, luckily a little warm-up changed my fate… Oh NO, i forgot to help my mum water the plants yesterday, i hope that the plants will not wilt so that my head wouoldn't roll.....

Sunday
Finally, finally, a family reunion, it’s been long since everyone in my family sat together for lunch, for there is / are always missing members….. I really enjoyed the times where we sit down as 1 family (although not on the same dining table) and talked about life. Lunch was superb man, wahahaha, years since I last laid my hand on home-cooked prawn noodles, since I’ve helped in the preparation, I ought to have my fill. Everyone ate and ate and ate and enjoyed themselves over the sumptuous lunch.
At night, I visited my aunt and bring her an OTO reflexology machine. As usual, the TV is not mine, so I couldn’t watch my TV programme as they are watching other channels, so I just ransacked their cupboards to see the old photographs, and it really bring back lots of good memories. Then my aunt told us she’s going TW for 1 month, which made me sad and complicated, and also she talked about wanting to invest in my “biz” which I thought that it was only a dream, I can’t really read my future that well, I only know that I’ve to really treasure what I have now coz you really dunno what will happened tomorrow.
Anyway, it’s just a marvellous Sunday spent!

The (already outdated) IN thing
The first day of MY week, I woke up very early, which I normally don’t, to get ready for school. I feel my eyes quite sore due to the lack of sleep; luckily I did not doze off as I was on the bus with a friend who boarded same stop as me.
I was in school early praying hard not to get “first class” seats so that I wouldn’t be sitting right under the lecturer’s notes and be a victim to answer questions. I reached class JIT, and thankfully there are still vacant seats from the bird’s eye view. I sat down hurriedly and unpack my stuff, ready to start class. Those 2 are usually late.
This ICP lecturer likes to poke fun at the students and make funny yet rude jokes. He’s usually short of breath and he likes to talk in a high pitch voice, it’s a he, for heaven’s sake….
Then halfway through, we talked about something interesting, both me and SH were teaching kids and we exchanged all the funny encounters we met so as to gain more experience. She told me that her student gave her a box of water babies which (which could reproduce) I think I had heard it before. Then we got excited, after which we decided to look for water babies after class.
We went to buy water babies which was not cheap, then SH distribute a little to CL and me, we looked as though we were like big children playing with the IN thing at the shopping centre. It seems like I’m back to childhood. I went home and planted the babies into the water, hoping that it will mutate, and it’s quite fun la, it’s been years since I last had a toy….. I showed my bro the little beads before I put in the water, I asked him;
Me: you know what’s this?
Him: beads la, for bracelets
Me: No la (Smirks), it’s not la…..
It’s already out of style, then now I’m playing it, I’m really a laggard….

My left hand is retarded
I just don’t understand, my left hand is retarded, my eyes read faster than my fingers. I don’t know when I will overcome this problem, when will I ever see my fingers fly on the finger board (like lee hom?!). My right hand is diligent and writes fast, but lazy to be raised up.
My teacher talks about analogy of Chinese painting to notes of classical music, it makes no sense to me why they are alike. She wants me to learn to compare music with everyday life…. My music is like me, fat and bulky…. It’s not easy to change my own style….
P/S: Jing2, does teacher talks about a lot of analogy to you?? (I really wonder…)

SOME + DAYS
ANYDAY
It’s been a week since school started, still I’m not able to grasp hold of the timing, it’s like creating havoc to my peaceful life. It makes me feel that 24 hours is not enough for me to use.
EVERYDAY
One day, you could wake up very early, more early than those working population and rush to school for class.
Another day, you could sleep till late morning, wash up and head for school, without any spare time to flip the papers.
On some days, you could sleep late, have lunch and watch TV or revise work before heading to school. It’s really hard to adapt to these irregular timings.
Sometimes when class are held at off-peak hours, I would be damn early, sitting in class like a lonely soul, ‘chopping’ seats for my friends.
Sometimes when class is during the peak hours, I can’t help but to rush for time, and it’s so embarrassing to walk down the middle aisle in front of so many students…
Somedays reached home, morning gone, hey, it’s not that bad….
Somedays reached home, morning and afternoon gone, so I wasted those times studying in school, and no time for other stuffs.
Once in a blue moon, sunrise=off to school, sunset= still in school, late at night=squeezing in the bus to get home.
I like flexibility but not to this extent, it’s really WL, I don’t know what to say…
But what to do, what’s done can’t be undone anymore.
All because of these somedays and sometimes, I come to realize that time doesn’t wait for me anymore, yet there are some many things which was not fulfilled yet, I’ve not seen the rainbow in my life, it’s not somewhere but faraway…. Even 24 hours daily wasn’t enough for me to do what I wanted to do; for my to-do list, to-wish list, to-eat list, to-go list are everlasting…. If I could turn back time, please let me relive 2000. Time is not enough, time is badly spent…..
FRIDAY
Because of time, I’ve been thinking of what I have been doing from September 2006 to September 2007, I’m neither here nor there, getting there but not there yet, so close yet some far, u knowing la, sometimes people make hurting remarks without thinking that it really hurts….
Sometimes, I feel like giving up, other times I feel like pressing on, but till now, I’m still sitting on the fence. I tried to convince myself that I’m slow but I’m always discouraged but time doesn’t wait for you….
I seems to progressing backwards, was neither here nor there, No. 1X could be so well played a fortnight ago, but badly played last week. I didn’t know what to do, there’s a hurdle in front of me…..
SATURDAY
Made in JIT for class, somehow interesting but cumbersome lecture, was taught how to construct spiderwebs (network analysis) which seems easy but many steps involved. It kept me wide awake throughout a Saturday morning….
A giraffe had escaped from the zoo to P.S….. That’s where I met my villagers for dinner, food is served in a very big plate, making the food looked so insignificant, that’s what I call fine dining…..
MONDAY
Can anybody believe that I watched 881? Well well, I was reluctant at first coz of the language problem, though I can understand bits of different dialect, my perception for that show is that it’s only suitable for elderly and for people of the same age like my parents. But my perception changed after the show, it’s quite hilarious and their singing was quite nice. But 1 thing for sure, I was the youngest audience in the cinema. The audience were scattered everywhere in the large capacity cinema, occupying less than 1% of the whole space.

The 1st week of the new semester
Some days back when it’s reality day
Well well, Ms AT wanted to know how I rejoice….. I spent the evening with her, there wasn’t specific timing for the release of results, so there’s no point guarding the computer at home. It was only during dinner time when the result was finally released. So I was excited and anxious, I had no computer access outside and I didn’t want to know my results when I was outside, that’s because I’m afraid my facial expression tells it all, esp with a friend by my side. Curiosity got the better of me so I called SH to ask her to check for me. It’s good news after all, but I was shocked to know that I made it, I expected myself to fail a unit or 2…. I was stoned for dunno how many minutes, so I broke the news to my mum who think that I didn’t do well enough (that really broke my heart)
Saturday
I was at my aunt’s house for a visit and to develop photos at bulk quantity (I FORGOT to develop 2R village group photo for hui and ber) It was a thick lot, and I had a tough time sorting them out and distributing them to my auntsss…. The photos contained my holiday trips and some family photos, the whole stack of photos have kept us entertained for the whole afternoon, you know la, they are so different from youngster when viewing photos, they have great analytical skills, they can take 5 mins to view a picture and talk non-stop, and my aunt popped a question, and my answer set her off in a laughter.
Aunt: So this holiday, you’ve visited so many parts of Malaysia, where is your next destination?
Me: School!!!
Aunt: Wahahahahahaha
I mean I really have to go back to school instead of having a holiday marathon…. Aiya, don’t care le la, have to go back and study hard, who knows, it might be my last school holidays in my whole life. After all, I’m too old for school now. -_-
Sunday
Nothing much to do, slacking on a hot afternoon, vexed over the eCr thingy, it’s just so troublesome, and nothing seems to get right for school’s system, especially during critical times. It’s really frustrating you know?!?
Monday
After intense consideration and telling the whole world about what went wrong with eCr, I finally decided to barge to school to get things done, once and for all, why like that??? Together with sh, we went back to demand an answer, the whole office was flooded with students with question marks like us, and the staff??? All hiding inside the office fearing that students will bombard them with all kinds of questions…. Finally, managed to get an assurance from one of the staff, and we left school for lunch. Talk and talk non-stop about our holidays, what have we been doing for past few months, and not forgetting about the latest gossips from the entertainment industry, oh man, my fav topic…..
Tuesday
Woke up very early in the morning, mum was at the market when it poured like crazy, I was still in wonderland when she buzzed me to keep the clothes which was hung outside, too late, all the clothes were drenched, wahahaha….. I bounced back to bed again, woke up after another half an hour of sleep. I have to go for make up class la, never ever played music in the morning before, so it’s something new and strange today. All people in the MRT were precisely, heading for work, while I headed for class, the feeling is strange, the last time that I go for class by MRT was in my poly years. Got scolding today la, never practice for more than a week, fingers were still sleeping even when I’m physically and mentally awake, the double stopping really eeks, sucks, shit…… I can’t even accept what I am playing, let alone be teacher, she must be screaming …. It must be the weather, making me underperform, I should be sleeping in my “pen” in a cozy morning. Teacher talks something about wisdom, which I relate it to the Chinese character of my name, it makes me feel so stupid with such a profound name….
Wednesday
It’s the 1st day of school, and it’s the worst school day ever, nobody would be as crazy as me to attend class for 12 hours. My folks were attending my bro’s POP in PT.
1st School of Thoughts: ICP
I missed my bus while walking to the bus stop. The wait was unbearable, I knew I will be late definitely, just a matter of how late is late. I was late and SH was sitting near the middle aisle, and it’s near to the front. I had to walk briskly and it’s so pai-seh…. The lecturer is an interesting man though, and the jokes really keep me awake for the whole morning.
Sir: What’s the Chinese name for dragon?
Student: Long (2)
Sir: Well, it’s not short….
Whole Class: Burst into laughter
Well, I thought that I would be interested in what I’m studying so far, till now, still happy with my choice of study.
2nd School of Thoughts: ESAP
It was an English doctor lecturer. It was a she which I expected was a he, who always wore a bow tie. The lecture seems to be conducted in alien language, and I was sitting in a corner. I didn’t know how come it turned out to be this thingy that I will be studying, I made a wrong choice.
The lecturer starts to talk: I dun like English teaching me anything except for English ONLY!
Half an hour into lecture: Am I back to sociology again?
One hour: Psychology is not the study of human behaviour mehz?
One and half hour later: The handle of the grinder is silver right?
Last fifteen minutes: Huh, still have to do true and false worksheet….
The verdict: I like to change a lecturer but my friends like to change the module, so I’ve to go along with them… I’m really thinking hard of which module to replace ESAP, I need some theoretical instead of quantitative. We went around school looking for the coordinator, trying to get her change my timetable. I’m really very vexed, over qualitative and quantitative. I realized that I took the wrong modules right from the very start, I felt …..
3rd School of Thoughts: MSM
The 2nd male lecturer of the day, from the very interesting (ICP) to the not-at-all interesting (MSM), my mind was extremely exhausted. I wasn’t able to concentrate or listen attentively, I kept yawning and yawning. The lesson was not interesting at all, but I felt like as though I’m in an army lecture, learning radar, submarine and whatsoever…. The lesson was extremely dry to the extreme and the lecture theatre was barely occupied. Still, it has to go on, waiting for the break, had a cup of tea to perk myself up before continuing the 2nd half of the lecture, true enough, the tea works, it bought me back to the boring lecture. Time to go home, I just couldn’t contain my happiness, coz it’s been a tiring 12 hours in school, like a marathon. The bus stop was packed with students, and I couldn’t make it to the 1st bus and waited for quite some time before the 2nd bus came.
Thursday
FM class, I wonder why class was held in such a big LT with so few students scattered all over the place. The timing of this class was so shitty and shitty, neither here nor there, it’s really bad…. Initially, the lecturer was teaching some stuff which I had know them beforehand, but the way he conducts his teaching makes me feel so lost and confused.
Friday
FR class was very full, it talks about financial reporting standards and whatsoever, but the abbreviation are really making me mad, but just bear with it for 3 mere short hours and it’ll be over. Class at night was quite ok, seldom had 2 lessons in a week, and it does help. It’s been decades since teacher ever commented on my pitching, I was elated as it simply means everything to me than any other techniques.
Saturday
I overslept, luckily I managed to make it to class. Another MSM lesson which was less boring that the 1st on Wednesday. I dunno why but the class was like a freezer, it was extremely cold, and it only helps when I had 2 cups of tea to warm my body. Barely enough sleep, I had to teach in the afternoon, followed by a party at night, it was packed but meaningful to spend time wisely…
Sunday
Here I am, with my collection of my daily blogging.
Signing off and going out soon. Have a great weekend.

010907: Last holiday before reality
I’m happy, satisfied, playful yet tired. To leave this sophisticated and hectic city was simply pure happiness for me. Results out on 4th sept, yet I chose to spend my last day of holis in Kukup. The fishing village and people there were so friendly and hospitable. It was a short distance from here to there. Hmmm, what surprised me at first was the young and pretty tour guide, Ms Prawn from Malaysia, once she joined us at the customs, all the aunties started questioning her age. She wasn’t very eloquent in speaking and humoring the aunties, compared to the tour guide, Mr Big Teddy who brought us around in Kuantan. I just couldn’t believe it as she was younger than me. The journey was short yet bumpy, I couldn’t get to sleep, and with those yucky hokkien and Teochew songs playing, I couldn’t help but to block it with my mp3.
We reached there during lunch time and visited the floating fishing village, the little boat or dunno what ship you call that shook rather hard, from left to right and front to back, I wasn’t feeling too good, sea sick man……… We were forced to walk on wood planks from one place to another. I always feared that the wood planks would give way due to my size, and the wood planks side by side are a little wide apart made me fear that I would fall into the sea at any point in time. There was a little hut on the floating village selling dried seafood and stuff, you know la, typical Singapore people, k.i.a.s.u. they just buy and buy and buy as though things are FOC. We went back to have lunch before checking in to our holiday chalet. The restoran was built on concrete land, but I still felt that it shook when people walked past me, I was feeling seasicky during lunch. Alas!!!! Then another boat ride brought us to the holiday chalet after lunch, so thankful I did not have my fill or I would have vomited due to those violent and rough waves.
Malaysia National Day just passed...

Oh man, it just feels like 1st class service, having porters to carry your luggage, boats to ferry you here and there…. The only worry is to walk on wooden planks, some seems like it’s going to break anytime, some looks like the nails went loose, others can overlook the sea below as there are a wide distance in between them. We checked in and it’s a 2nd storey house, very beautiful on the outside and full of entertainment facilities in the house. We rested in the afternoon before we set off to the city centre to do a little shopping. It’s really backwards compared to here in Singapore.
1) You can simply find Nike, Giordano, Mango here, but there’s only batik clothing there.
2) The people there fish for life, there’s simply no books or magazines there, I was a little disappointed as I forgot to bring my game there Arghhh!!!!
3) The way people dry clothes there was not to use bamboo poles like us, they would lay their clothes on the car engines to make use of the hot sun to dry them.
4) You cannot find ice balls here in SG, but there’s many over there.
5) If you lost your way, there’s no street name for you, you have to remember the details that they write on the lamp posts, and it’s a way of identification.
6) It’s good to hear the sea waves wash back onto the muddy shore trying to make it high tide, it’s yucky and shitty and smelly when it’s low tide as those rubbish and garbage are not covered.
It’s dusk, and it’s time for dinner, the host of the chalet bbq for us, we just sat there, watched TV, played mahjong or sing karaoke. The heavy rain spoilt everything, still the host had a backyard and he does his cooking and bbq-ing there. It’s just heavenly when you’re served like a king or queen. The food was good, the ambience was nice, the setting was perfect. I had a few slices of watermelon after those bbq food, oh, I didn’t see any dustbin lying around, and you know la, you could get fined for littering in Sg, so my watermelon skin flew into the mud or the sea. I had chicken wings, bones just flew into the sea, satay? The skewer just went into the sea too. Everything just went in….You wouldn’t get fined there, the people there did that too. My only entertainment was watching TV and I could watch channel U there. It’s bath time, the water goes right into the sea, you can see it with your naked eyes, whatever poo-poo or wee-wee just go right down, no pipes, nothing at all. So the cycle continues, the fish eat our poo-poo, we eat the fish, and we pass out the poo-poo. YucKsSssss…….
The rain continued to pour, I turned in for the night after the Guess show, woke up trying to see the sunrise, but the clouds were too thick. It was low tide, it stinks, like dead fish or whatever, I ……….
the sun rose, it's low tide, it smells...

I walked carefully on the wooden planks for a stroll. Most of the time, the planks would either moved a little and some nails were loose and it would lifted up a little, I can’t stop of the thought of me falling into the sea, or rather the mud, scaring the mudskippers away….
Low tide expose crabs, hermit crabs and mudskippers(not in picture)

It’s just so fearful, I did not run or jump or hop on the planks, I just looked down and walked carefully. Breakfast was simply a feast, the host cooked for us, even the fried noodles tasted better there, it’s simply delicious, sitting at the doorsteps, sipping a cup of milo, listening to the sea breeze, gobbling up good food, it’s all so natural, and even the houseflies are so friendly, that they fly all over you, trying to feast too, it’s bigger and fatter than in SG. After breakfast, I chatted with the tour guide on what’s interesting in Malaysia, she said she’s quite envious of me still studying at my age, I replied I’m so envious of you working and touring every part of Malaysia for almost free.
Bye-bye to the 2nd storey holiday chalet...

It’s time to check out the holiday chalet there, the boat was waiting and we were waiting for the aunties and ah-ma on board. The boat shook again, it almost felt like it was going to capsize, I was dizzy….. We had lunch and headed back home, dad loves pineapple and I got 1 from the roadside stall, it’s like almost free, you couldn’t get a pineapple as big as your/my face for like only 1 SGD, and what’s more it’s from Sarawak, famous for it’s pineapple.
The tour guide brought us to a confectionary to buy tau sar piah, again, k.i.a.s.u was there again, aunties were like, give me 10 of this, 20 of that, 40 of those. Some even ended up with 2 big bags of dunno what’s inside them…. I caught my eye on a bottle of coke, just simply pay for it and waited in the coach, 1 auntie even came on board and ask her friend, can you lend me 4 dollars, I’m short of it….. I chuckled. Observing those aunties were simply an interesting thing to do. It’s home sweet home.

Great Achievements
Finally, after 2 or 3 days of meddling with those crazy HTML codings, i finally got a new skin for my blog, quite artistic and pretty, though it seems like a small fry to many of you, but for a HTML idiot like me, it finally took great sacrifice (less zzz) to get it all done up...
hmmm, very satisfied about it.... hahaha.

Sharing happiness with everyone
I’m here to share the happy news of my friends. Coincidentally, both of them will start work on the coming Monday at different banks, HSBC and SCB. The dreadful part after graduation will be the job searching process. I wonder what will become of me when it’s my turn. Anyway, got to wish them all the best in their work and future endeavors. And also, all friends that know me, or any unnamed who read this blog, I wish that everybody will be happy always, and best of luck in whatever they do.
Talking about luck, oh man…. The time has come, finally, I need lots of them to help me scrap through this hurdle, I’m beginning to have nightmares more frequent now.
Oh, about nightmares, I really can’t believe what I am going through today, it was a stormy morning, the sky looked as though it’s 6pm, I looked at the clock, it’s only 9.30am, I woke up to close the windows and went back to sleep, wanted to rise early but I was having a series of nightmares (dumbfounded)…… Ya, nightmares=vague memory, I chose to forget them, but still I chose to go back to sleep instead of to wake up, simply because the weather was just to cozy to fall asleep. I dreamt of people chasing and trying to kill me, that’s the norm, but I opened my eyes, only to went back to sleep a short while, it’s just to drowsy on a cool and cold morning. The series of nightmares continued till noon!!! It’s time to wake up, I told my mum about my series of nightmare, and she asked me, so what’s the final outcome? Why don’t you sleep until you finished your drama series of dreams??? That’s a funny remark, to be precise!
The heavy rain stopped in the late afternoon, I followed my mum to the supermarket, I was choosing tomatoes when I saw my secondary school classmate, WJ, oh man, she was pregnant, and my 1st question to her was how many months already? We talked for a while and she’s doing very well, I say…. I could vaguely recalled she wasn’t attentive in class, but now she’s really enjoying life, with both career and family, oh, what about me? I got nothing to my name….. a great blow to me, hahaha (no doubt about that)…. Seeing her in maternity really reminds me of how time flies. Well well, don’t waste anymore time now, I hope, I hope, I hope just for now good (just to pass) results only.

Backdated week
Wednesday
Met up with A friend for a game of badminton. It’s been ages since I last lay my hands on a badminton racket, at most I was soaking in a pool. It only lasted for an hour before my bones started giving way, it was exhausting….
Thursday
My right hand arm muscle seems to hurt a little, but what hurt most was my butt, I thought it was the stretching I did too much while trying to hit the ball.
There’s was a recent travelogue on TV that brings me back to my childhood, the memorable times my bro and I had in the library, the show was on Belgium when they started to talk about comic Tintin, the journalist. I visited the library the day after, hoping to read up on those titles again, I went to the children section, it seems so out of place, I was like a giant there, and dwarfs and elves wandering about. I strolled through the shelves, found it, grabbed it and rushed off. Those books were hidden in between other books that I borrowed for fear of embarrassment…..
Friday
I had been having RECURRING nightmares lately, but this morning I woke up from a DREAM. Somehow, I dunno why, I could still remember this dream so clearly, but nightmares I only chose to remember vaguely….
The dream goes….
Back in my secondary 3 school days, I had a bosom friend, we were foes turned friends, we spent almost all the time together, sat together, spent recess time together, went home together, vandalize together??!! One fine day, the principal sent for her, it was then her transfer to another school was successful and she will be leaving me soon. A dream, but petite details like which school she will be transferring was still so fresh in my mind, it was PH secondary school, she seems happy about the news, but I was quite reluctant as after she’s gone, I’m left alone. I was feeling so miserable. Then the last day arrived, we had a farewell party, 80 over classmates turned up, I dunno why there’s so many coz I didn’t have much friends that time due to my introvert character, but I reckon AG and AH added up to that total number. That’s all for my dream, and I’m glad it didn’t occur as we’re still friends now.
I went to the newly Tiong Bahru market for lunch with mum and to visit my relative and baby Ashley who lived near there. Then while searching for the popular lor-mee, I saw Mr T (SE), oh man, how come I kept running into him, the last time I saw him was at Marina Square Kenny Rogers, he saw me, came forward and we chatted for a while, but looks like he’s doing well in life. I never asked for his contact, and I forgot to ask the most critical question. It’s his 1st time there having lunch and mine’s too. The conversation ended and we bade goodbye.
Saturday
I met up with poly buddies, but never full attendance, had dessert in a black shop and played pool. It’s been like years since I last played pool. It’s a time to catch up with others and I’m always glad to know that they are doing well in life (not like me -_-). We went home, and I saw a familiar face, it was WH (SE), since graduation, we had never met, we greeted each other by a hand shake, and it’s good to hear that she’s still doing music. Oh, was it my (un)lucky week to run into long time friends who have lost touch for 3 years or more??? I dunno, maybe it’s fate that brought us together for another time. I reached home just in time to catch CSS2 finals on TV, minutes later, my bro came back and we snacked and munched together while glued on the TV.
Sunday
There’s a documentary on a 58 year old lady, who rides a bike, who weight lifts, who do treadmills in gym, who box, who do yoga, a superwoman in modern times….

Secret
I just watched the Secret today with 2 friends. Initially I wasn’t really thinking that it was a good flick, but it proved me wrong…..
10 minutes into it: It’s all so sweet and romantic; schoolgirls in front of me go gaga over jay when he kissed the girl on screen.
20 minutes: It’s all so smooth sailing, how come no climax, no twist in the story line. But it’s an eye opener to see in jay piano duel, very enticed by the piano music….
30 minutes: Aiyo, I’m so in love with the part when the male and female lead plays the piano together. It really is nice melody!!!
40 minutes: Sometimes, the script brings out a little comedy when Anthony speaks, Music has feelings. Oh, I didn’t know that an apple a day keeps the asthma away…..
50 minutes: It’s the lunar 7th month hungry ghost festival, another ghost from the secret? Nah, it’s the secret to travel through time.
Last 20 minutes: It’s the dramatic part and climax. The music was blasting loud, and it’s really a twist in the story line, it never came across my mind that the story would continue like this…. Well, I was defeated; really give it thumbs up for jay’s talent in directing….

National Day Abroad
This is the 1st time I’ve spent National Day overseas, it was a long weekend holiday, 4 consecutive days from Thursday to Sunday. My destination was to Malaysia.
DAY 1
I was sleeping over at my aunt’s place on Wednesday night so that we could set off together; I only slept for a mere 2 hours coz I could not get to sleep. We departed early morning on national day itself by coach, cozy seats but too cold aircon. We boarded the bus to find our seats occupied, angrily, we were forced to separate seats, this is the time when a grudge was born between us and these 6 obasans. Throughout the trip, most of the time was spent on the coach traveling from one location to another. We stopped over for breakfast before moving on, and I had penang prawn mee, and the prawn was actually shrimp which was damn tiny.
1st day lunch: We shared the table with some other obasans, oh, it’s always the 1st impressions that counts, so when me and my aunts sat down, the 1st thing that we do is to wipe our utensils clean, and the other obasans were already distributing the large plate of chili padi and green chili that was meant for the whole table of us. They left us with nothing, so my aunt requested for another plate of green chili, when the green chili came, I scoop some onto my saucer or whatever plate you call that before distributing to my aunts and putting it back to the table, then 1 of the 6 obasans quickly reached out for that plate of chili and scoop whatever is remaining onto her plate. The food was served and the obasans hungrily dished it onto her plate of rice. 1 of them was so aggressive that she not only scoop for herself but scoop for her friends also, oh my, they’re adults and they should know how to scoop food for themselves right?? I was quite shocked by their table manners. The assam fish was served and they hungrily grabbed the food, obviously we can’t lose out to them or else we’ll be eating leftover food, it was quite nice, and soon it was left with the skeleton of the fish and its head, 1 of the obasan starred at the fish head looking so hungry and I could figured it out that she really wanted to have the fish head, so my aunt hinted to her, finish it up la, don’t waste food, but she still took no action. Sense of pride, I think of dunno whatever la, she don’t want to lose face…. Ok , I was three quarter full only, coz we had 11 on table. Fruits was served, again, they reached out for it 1st before us…
1st impression: typical kiasu obasan
We continued out journey and reached genting about 4 in the afternoon. I was half asleep and half awake coz it was a little rocky, I listened to my mp3 as it put me asleep. It was very misty on the day we arrived, which seldom is the case, but photo-taking can be quite magnificent. We checked in before leaving for dinner, initially we wanted to have Kenny Rogers but oh my, it’s like only 6.30pm when they had sold out their grilled chicken. We switched to Thai food and went shopping after that. I bought a pair of shoes which I found it relatively cheap compared to Singapore. After which we spent 6 hours in the casino hoping to win some money, but ended up burning a hole in my pocket after losing some hundred dollars. We went back to rest in the hotel but only managed to sleep for a few hours as we had to leave the next day to another location.
DAY 2
We had breakfast and left with some time which was less than a hour, we decided to try our luck again, we barged into the casino again before leaving genting and again was on a losing streak, initially I stuck jackpot but lost afterall. We checked out and left the cool mountain.
We set off for lunch halfway along the mid-mountain, and again we had to share the table with the 6 obasans.
2nd day lunch: We had Chinese cuisine, 5 dish 1 soup, and the moment food was served, my aunt stood up and scoop food onto my plate, there wasn’t any turning plate and the table was large, immediately 1 of the obasans followed us, and the next minute, all hands were crossing on the table, very ill table manners but if we still take on action, we’ll be left with no food. We know that it’s quite a sight to fight for food but we’re left with no choice la. Watermelon was served and they did the same, distribute the fork among themselves, and helped themselves to the watermelons, and 1 of them said out loud, it’s not sweet!!! And the rest of them, after eating a piece, stood up unanimously stood up and left the table, leaving the 5 of us to eat the un-sweet watermelons. Those people are like cave-woman whom has never eaten before. They have gone too far, I think…..
2nd impression: Hungry caveman (ghost) who fast for a century
We continued our journey to Kuantan, it was 3 hours bus ride, and most of the time, I was listening to my mp3 hoping that it’ll put me to sleep or gazing out of the window, looking at oil palm trees or the beautiful blue sky, most of the time during the journey, both sides of the road were lined up with oil palm trees, rubber trees, trees, trees, trees…. It was only a minority that our coach passed by a rural village with cows and chickens running wild in the field or urban areas where there are shops. We reached our hotel and towed our luggage to the hotel lobby where we had a welcome drink while our tour guide handled the check-in process. To our dismay, we came to the wrong hotel!!!!! Grumbling, we towed our luggage back to the coach and the tour guide apologized profusely for his mistake. The itinerary was changed, we visited the batik village, and somehow I forgot to take some pictures, as what I know … Batik was only famous in Thailand…. We visited the factory and the shop front before leaving for dinner.
2nd day Dinner: We had a romantic dinner. The backdrop was South China Sea, with no buildings, a sandy beach overlooking the horizon, sun is going to set at any time, the sound of the waves washing back to the shore helps to relax, and it was a breezy evening, there’s the place we had dinner.
The sky meets the sea, a cool place for a relaxing dinner with waves washing as background music.

Food was served with the accompaniment of the flies. They were many of them flying around the food, and we were busy eating and chasing the flies off. Then my aunt told us that flies are harmless creatures, no need to fan them off, she just continued eating happily as she need not waste time chasing flies away, but the most of the time, the 6 obasans were busy chasing flies away, so we won the battle, we ate more than them obviously. This time, it’s assam fish again….. The fish head was grabbed by 1 of the obasans, and another obasan was choked by a long fish bone, then she left the table for the toilet, haha, now the food is for 10 persons, the tour guide came round to ask us how the food was, and the 1st thing he saw was that the fish head was not intact!!!! Watermelon was served again, and they grabbed a piece before us, we did not fight with them too, after them, my aunt turned the rolling plate towards us and took a piece, 1 obasan exclaimed it’s very sweet and they turned it back to them for the 2nd piece, obviously they were trying to gobble up the sweet watermelons la!!!
3rd impression: They’re really a greedy lot!!!
We set off to the right hotel this time round and it took quite some time to reach the resort. I could see the sun set, it’s a rare sight for me as I always never had the proper chance to see that in Singapore.
the sunset captured from the tinted glass of the bus

The red hot sun moves along with the bus, sinking lower each minute. The sky grew dark and we reached our hotel, it was a resort actually, very much similar to the 1 that I stayed in Desaru. We stayed in 2 different rooms and it was quite a big room, with a balcony overlooking the sea view, and a bath tub for me to soak, haha! The best thing I liked about this hotel was the TV channels, I was able to see the MTV channel and there was many new MTV screening. Shortly, we had to leave the room to move on to visit another tourist attraction. We were off to see the sea turtle lay eggs, the tour guide could not promise if we can really catch a view of it, but it was the main attraction for this trip. The road was only 1 lane, and there was not a single street lamp. We watched a video of the sea turtle laying eggs and we went to the beach, still there were no lights at all, but the beach was very outstanding with the white waves washing back. We were not allowed to switch on lights as it might frighten the turtles laying the eggs. We were there to release baby turtles, to put them back to where they belong, to have them regain their freedom. Each of us held a baby turtle on our hand, lined up in a straight line on the beach, and upon instructions, we released them and they made their way back to the ocean. There was a group of ang moh, snapping photos of the baby turtle they were holding, and it blinded the baby for a moment, it didn’t crawl back to the sea, while the fellow turtles rushes back to the sea. We went back to rest after it, we thought we were able to see the laying egg process but it was still early at night, and we didn’t want to wait till wee hours in the morning so we made our way back to the hotel. I turned on the TV the moment I stepped into the room and watched the MTV channel. I saw lee hom and selina new song, S.H.E new song, Mayday new songs and many others, I was really delighted.
DAY 3
There was nothing much for buffet breakfast in this resort but still we managed to have our fill. After breakfast, we strolled to the beach and took some photos and the sun had already risen up, missed another chance to watch the sunrise.
The sun has risen, with it's ray shining in every direction and casting a reflection on the sea.

Have you seen a bird nest before? It's my 1st...

After our morning walk, it’s time to check out again, there was a bag of complimentary papers hanging on our door, I was happy, at least there’s something to kill my boredom on the bus, we continued to another place, traveled for 3 hours on the coach before having lunch at the city area in Kuantan.
3rd day Lunch: There was more dishes this time round, but still the battles carries on, food was already served on the rolling plate, right in front of the 6 obasans, they always had the priority to take food and they never offer to turn the rolling plate towards us, even rice which was served and self service, they always helped themselves before us. It’s another plate of assam fish and they were like scooping big servings before us, oh my, it’s really disgraceful. Watermelon was served with honeydews on a large plate and they tried to finish up the honeydews before us. We aren’t a petty lot, we are forgiving people, we wouldn’t fight over fish head or watermelons with those petty people. I wasn’t very pleased, my aunt told me to ignore them, just eat your fill….
4th impression: They are selfish people!!!
We went to visit Kuantan specialty local products, salted fish!!! Oh my, once the bus door opened in front of the shop, salted fish smell filled the bus, I don’t eat those, nor did I want to buy too, so there were other seafood products like dried scallops, ikan bilis, shrimps and others. I only managed to buy large ikan bilis for my mum, coz she always use it boil soup, my aunt helped me to choose, and she tried the ikan bilis, oh my…. I didn’t know ikan bilis could be eaten raw, or rather when it’s dried…. I dished out 1 of them in the heap of it, had a taste of it, and tried to analyze which will taste better when used to boil soup. I bought huge quantity hoping it could last long as I thought that it’s really big compared to those I had at home, maybe next time I could have better soups…. After which we sat on the bus for hours again. We went to the Lembing tin ore museum which featured many different types of stones or marbles or those amethyst, quartz etc…. We had to climb a steep slope before reaching the museum as it was built on a mountain.
My house in Kuantan? Nah, it's the tin ore museum overlooking the forested area...

The sun was scorching in the early afternoon, and I was panting after the climb. After the climb down, I spotted something interesting and educational.
This is a rare scene, a kitten drinking it's mother milk.

Another 5 minutes on the bus after the museum visit, we were at a local confectionary selling coconut cookies, we had free samples and it was not nice after all. Next to it was a old lady selling magazines, I grabbed an entertainment mag with S.H.E as the cover picture and surprisingly, it was only RM3.00 (SGD1.30) in west Malaysia.
Oh, please figure out the words in red to see what magazines i liked most...

Anyway, it’s to kill time on the bus, another few hours of bus ride and we reached a local temple, there was a tradition for people to walked the trail of the dragon from it’s tail to the head and luck will change after that. We prayed in the temple before leaving for dinner.
3rd day Dinner: Dinner was held at the city centre of Kuantan, and in the restoran, there was a 1 month baby dinner and a wedding dinner. We had our fill even though amidst the process of grabbing food. Again, it started off with the chili war, they always took lots of chili but end up wasting them, maybe they just want the chili to add on colour to their utensils??!! There was assam fish again, and they always had large serving before us, as they always food-grabbers, they always finish their dinner before us, watermelon was served and this time it was not too sweet and she exclaimed to her friends and they had 1 piece and left the table. Obviously, we did not waste food, we finished the non-so-sweet watermelons as it high in glucose and aid digestion. My aunt saw their utensils, bones everywhere and rice was not finished and she said that they wasted food. She even said that it took great pains for those farmers to grow that rice. It’s quite clear that they were ill table mannered and coconut brained maybe….
5th impression: They’re an atrocious lot, I’m really pissed!!!!
The bus journey was quite fast as we were staying city area; it’s the right hotel this time round. We chucked our bag aside and I switched on the TV the very moment, oh my, my heart sank, the reception was not too good and there was no MTV channel, only the ESPN sports…. We washed up before going shopping, there was an Adidas factory outlet opposite our hotel, and we decided to check out the pricing. It was another disappointment as their series were outdated…. We went to the only shopping centre to shop around, it was not very well furbished, and there were many empty shops for rent. My aunt went to shop for a pair of slippers as hers is already worn off… I walked into a magazine store, there was a wide variety of books and magazines. Suddenly, something caught my eyes. It’s the Fahrenheit 1st photo album, I looked at the price tag, my mind vaguely did a rough calculations, I was astonished, the price was bloody damn cheap. I immediately grabbed a copy and paid at the counter, the lady at the counter said something to me, I was slow 3 seconds, I thought she was talking malay but I figured it out to be Cantonese, she said “handsome guys”, which I replied ya ya in Cantonese.
The "length zai" photo album which i got at an inexpensive price!

We continued shopping and came to Cold Storage at our final stop, shopped around aimlessly and decided to head back to hotel, oh well….
The 1 and only shopping centre in Kuantan, erm, are those cracks meant to be a design???

There was a Kenny Rogers restoran in that shopping centre, we wanted supper, my aunt fell in love with Kenny Rogers grilled chicken the last time she went genting but was disappointed this time round, as it was sold out in genting, so we took away our orders and had supper in our hotel rooms. It was very delicious and very tender, and after the supper, we were quite awake and full, so we chatted in the room, our topic centered on the 6 obasans who shared our table during our meals. We all bore a common grudge for those people, my aunts were so observant about them during meal times, and they told me all sort of facts la…. I never really noticed much about them maybe becoz I dunno la….. We chatted till 1am at night, I flipped my photo album before going to sleep.
DAY 4
I had a dream (not a nightmare), and was awoke by it at 5.30am. The hotel phone rang at 6am, it was the morning call, and we had to leave early today as we wanted to head home early, fearing that there will be a traffic jam in the evening. The food for the buffet breakfast was the worst for the past 3 days; we had no choice but to eat them to fill our stomach. We checked out and headed for our lunch, imagine, having breakfast at 7am and the next thing you know, having lunch at 12.30pm. It was a long journey on the coach, and I managed to catch a nap as I didn’t sleep well the past 3 days. I realized that I was now becoming a light-sleeper, at a mere touch or when the bus rock, I would simply wake up, and could not go back to sleep again. It’s another long bus ride before we reached our lunch venue. Oh my, last day le, lunch sucks as much as breakfast.
4th day Lunch: It’s all so plain and tasteless, food which is not so nice, yet food-grabber obasans are still in action, we were the last people to sit down in our round table, the next moment I know, there was no chili saucer left, I was fuming, immediately, I took the large bowl containing the leftover chili slices, fill it with soy sauce and place it right in front of me!!! No more assam fish but steamed HK-style fish, very tasteless, steamed medicinal chicken…. The next time I know, the large spoon which was used by all had knocked down my cup of tea, my face turned black immediately, I lost my appetite. When chicken was served, 1 of the obasans helped herself with the food and not only that, she actually used her chopsticks and dig inside the chicken as if looking for gold, OH MY, why can’t she use the ladle or spoon….. We are the ones eating those food, and I don’t want to be so freakingly hungry, ugly and selfish like her lo. I got nothing much to say, I just had plain rice and green veggies, pineapple was served and they had 1 before going to the ladies, 1 of the obasans came back from the toilet, asked us if the pineapples were sweet, my aunt hinted, it’s your luck to choose, there are some sweet and some not too sweet, see whether you’re lucky or not. Then my another aunt purposely pointed to a cube of rotten pineapple and said, try this la, this should be very sweet…..
6th impression: Please let those obasans disappear from my life forever…..
Our last destination for the trip was to the guan yin temple, another 2 hours ride. It was pouring, I’ve never met with a rainy holiday, now it’s my luck. We went to another local products shop in yong peng, top up those Malaysia snacks and others before heading back to the customs. It was home sweet home.
DAY 1
I was sleeping over at my aunt’s place on Wednesday night so that we could set off together; I only slept for a mere 2 hours coz I could not get to sleep.

String of incidents
I find myself thinking of doing this in a second, then the next second my mind was on another thing. It just seems like I’ve endless stuff to do, to learn this and that, to buy this and that, to clear away this and that…. But there was no action done till now. My “work” began piling higher and higher. Still, I’m always trying to get out of the house to see the world out there.
I was watching Code Red, an infotainment program which I find it cool and exciting. It showcases many special and unique parts of Singapore like those histories, funky food, museum and many others… It’s a eye opener for an ignorant person like me, oblivious to those histories and stuffs…. But 1 thing for sure is that the 30s and 40s who are filmed in the show knows more, and I mean much more than the young 20s in the show, somehow, the team will the most 20s will end up losing, it’s not the age that matters, I think it’s the prize money that attract those people to take part in the TV show.
I was at a hyper supermarket recently, I saw an interesting scene or should I say…. Whatever, I dunno how to describe. I saw a grey haired elderly ah mah buying a huge packet of JnJ potato chips, it was on offer I think…. I was observing her from afar, and I always know that old people don’t like chips, and moreover, it’s a teeth-less ah mah, or she’s getting that for her grandchildren, that’s the only conclusion I drawn from my observation. She was looking at the packet, as if searching for the price, but it also seems like she’s having a hard time deciding which flavour is nicer. My mum who was besides me jokingly told me in Teochew, you go over lah, recommend the nice flavour for that ah mah lo… I just simply ignored my mum and walked off.
I returned to home late, as I was opening the door, something behind me moved, I turned behind, it was a ………… LiZarD, at the ceiling of the corridor lamp, standing by, waiting to pound of next moth that landed on the ceiling, oh!!! Normally, such small incident does not catch my attention, but somehow that night, I was rather curious as to how the lizard ate its food and on any other occasions I would just simply grab a shoe that was lying outside the house and try to intimidate the lizard, hopefully it would stay away. I went inside the house, switched on the TV, watched TV and continued to peep at that thing. I only wanted to capture the moment that the lizard ate its food. My mum came home and she saw me looking outside the window, so I told her I was observing….. She reacted very and extremely and very strongly, she said that I should NOT be looking at how it eats but ought to feel sorry and empathetic for the food that was eaten and to pray for the moths to be reincarnated as human beings. I did not really think that way, my mind was straight. I should learn to see things from more than 1 point of view, maybe the best way is to analyze from 360 point of view.

Thoughts of the day
It’s the action, not the fruit of action, that’s important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there’ll be any fruit. But that doesn’t mean you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no results.

The Adultery Encounter
Sometimes too much thinking isn’t good at all especially in cases when it damages thousands of brain cells. I'm still myself when i think a lot. My happiness turned mouldy when I was faced with 4 sides of the wall, home-imprisonment, I named it! Just live to see tomorrow, eat and wait to die, looking forward to Switched or Split Seconds, life’s just black and white. They envy me for my free schedule, but for me, it’s another standstill, I’m not progressing with ……... I’m still lacking of vitamin M to get out of this small red dot to venture elsewhere, I always believed that there’s greener pastures out there……
Met up with the villagers on Saturday (night fever). We had dinner before proceeding to the minds café, we had a go of many different games that I’ve not played before and it’s very very very good business on Saturday night just like a saturday morning wet market, very noisy and rowdy, it’s healthy activity anyway, we celebrated hui’s birthday there and continued with our games. Just when we were about to leave, ocifer suddenly rushed off saying that “someone” will be picking her up, immediately, the curious villagers tailed her out coz they wanted to see that “someone”, but we were too slow, they drove off leaving us alone, come to think of it, we were behaving like trying to catch the adulterer…. Hahaha, it’s not the end, still not satisfied, the villagers still had so many doubts that they began questioning each other about that “someone”, somehow, hui knew a little about that underground affair, but after our grilling, still, we’ve gathered not much clue about him…..
Monday morning, no more blues, it’s almost noon when I woke up, started off with sweeping the floor before anything else, went supermarket in the afternoon to buy veggies and come home watch TV till late night, typical homemaker lifestyle, it’s really killing me. A little while ago, I was watching channel U for the result show on campus superstar, I can’t believe that those young boy contestants out there are damn crybaby, crying over the girl who’s being voted out, cry until must use his shirt to cover his face, oh my, cry until so hard, it’s so embarrassing! Anyway, the little-est boy always cry every episode right, so that he can snatch more air time that other guys, free publicity, y not????

Family Time
It’s been half a month since I started to mould, and mum was nagging non stop for many many days. Luckily, a flexi-assignment helps to shut mum’s nagging.
It was almost every other nights out with different gal-friends to chat and gossip. In the day, I was either surfing or reading in the day to widen my knowledge.
Wednesday
I was like ants in a hot pot, class registration started today at supposedly 2pm when last minute, mum asked me to go out with her to settle some personal matters. She fixed her appointment at 3pm and I was dying to log in to choose my own timetable, the system was fxXkingly out of order and I was trying to race against time before rushing for the appointment. It was 2.30pm, still trying, system error, 2.45pm, system still down, 3.00pm, 1 last try before I go out, 3.05pm, aiya, come back then settle la, I thought to myself, back at about 5pm when it’s well again, trying to match with all my friend’s schedule so that I wouldn’t be a lonely soul, but…….. to my total disappointment, I was late for the weekday class, I had to choose a Saturday morning class, imagine giving up my beauty sleep for 22 weeks to attend class, so shitty man……
Thursday
One day earlier this week, I met up with Mrs Tern ever since we last met erm…. Two or three years ago? Still as chatty and happy as ever, and I was taught a lesson on health education and something on the law of attraction, oh well, I always liked to come across new stuff that really had never entered my world before.
Every other days in this week
I never failed to commit / fulfilled 12 hours of beauty sleep and there was a day when mum draw my curtains to a complete darkness and I only managed to wake up at 12noon, oh man, I was so “engrossed” in my sleep, then another day she was ranting at me when I was still in bed 1 late morning. Even when I covered my ears with pillows, I could still hear her thunderous voice, I’m happy to stay home to spend more quality time with mum and family, however, that might seems not a good thing to do….. Sometimes, we would go shopping here and there, or many afternoons are spent in supermarkets buying groceries and comparing prices after the tax hike, the typical oba-san….
I’m also able to produce more quality pieces of music than ever, since I’ve no much commitment at the current moment, but that’s only temporary. Had been trying to pick up the guitar and play some Chinese love songs, anyway, had been thinking of this and that to do since I’m now a free person….
Saturday & Sunday
Family time, dinner out in a vegetarian restaurant where finally everyone was present. I was burying myself with many many magazine to slack my way through a bright sunny morning, how wonderful....

Everlasting Holis
Had been enjoying my holis this week, trying to work out a meaningful and entertaining schedule before …
It was youth day and I was home alone with my younger bro, and we had botak jones for lunch. Met up with AT on Monday as she wanted to get clothes for her interview, we went plaza sing to have dinner before shopping around. Dinner was at pizza hut, and business was still very good despite the hike, and all the workers there are all malays. They were very busy serving customers which I notice, and the girl who came to take our order had a very dirty top, which the stains of dunno what stood out in her red and white shirt. AT exclaimed after she walked off, that she had a dirty uniform…. Just then, I noticed another waitress spilled and broke 2 glass of coke when she was trying to do a swift turn. After dinner, we went shopping, I was trying to get a frame for miniature puzzle, but seem it’s selling too well, that it went out of stock.
Tried my hands on some chocolate cookies ever since after Chinese New Year, and it took me the whole afternoon to batch bake 2 pastries. Met 3 fella villagers for dinner cum shopping sprees and they wanted to get top and bottoms for their interviews. We met up at mac, sat down and chat non-stop, we had lots to talk about, esp for ks who just started work…(girls are gossipy by nature). During dinner, we still had lots to talk about, nothing in particular but everything under the sun. We had a filling dinner but still did not leave the kopitiam but still continued to chat, till an uncle stood nearby hinting that he wanted to clear the utensils, only then we managed to leave.
It was a bright sunny wednes-day, I decided to go for a swim, normally there were hardly any ladies on a sunny day unless for those who are there to get a nice tan. I saw a familiar face at the pool and she was alone, dressed in bikini, she just slept by the poolside while I was swimming. Some guys were enjoying the sun so much that they had their radio switched on, and made it looked as though they were at their own house.
Managed to do some cleaning during the day while balancing it with my TV time, picked up a few books from the library since I was on everlasting holidays…
I was reading i-weekly, watching Switched on 8, after which it was Split Second on U. I never really understand this show initially but I watched it because of the mysterious and the you-never-know-what-will-happened story line. After which I was trying to read a few pages of TV synopses, and it took me an hour to finish my reading.
I was on the web watching LH’s falling Leaf returns to root and I thought it was a well-directed MV and he made good use of his vocals, but comparing it to JC’s Secret which will appeal to the mass. Anyway, both singers directed their own MVs.

A . means a new beginning
Met up with JJ on Tuesday, she was trying to get some gift for a friend, also, it’s time to update each other on how we’re getting on in life. Our talk centred on a person whom we knew in common, and that we both shared the same idea about HER, our most common topic was about music too. After dinner, she said she wanted to buy something, something about dream catcher, initially, I was full of question marks on what that thing is…. After which, she tried to describe, and I know a little more about that dream catcher, still baffled, and to curb my curiosity, I tried to catch a glimpse of that dream catcher the next day at J8. You’re never too old to learn.
Went home on Friday night after class to see my botak bro in bed, still not asleep but chatting with my home about his ordeal in bmtc. I bent over and touched his botak head… Haha, so cool…
Met up with aunt to have dinner at p.s. We walked over to the cathy as I wanted to see this series of axxxxx sling bags, wanted to get a new bag before the hike, but the bags seems a little kind of ugly to my sight, and it seems like those chiong bags at pasar malam. I decided to give it a miss.
It’s Sunday, I’m a free person now, the 2nd time to being a free person, still dwelling on it, cannot get over it so soon, but yet, feeling a slight relief as I’m really freed from troubles. I’ve still a long list of things to do, but I think I will rest till I’m fully recharged for my next phase in life. The next few days, I’m going to count how many grains of rice I ate, how many litres of water I drank, how many hours I slept, how many km I walked, how many visits to the toilet etc…..
I met up with SH for lunch before going for the pets carnival. It’s been rather long since we met, ever since after the exams, so it’s a get-together to update each other. The 1st word that came from her mouth after she saw me was that she had a hot and serious news for me, we both exchanged updates and had lots to talk about. We had delicious laksa for lunch, and walked over to the community centre to see dogs. We saw many dogs there, 2 hamsters, 2 cats and many bunnies. She reached out to touch the dogs that she saw while I try to stay away from those dirty little things, wahaha…. Dogs has some kinda of smell, like body odour, or the fur…. Petssion was 1 of the participating booth and I was there to support my friend, a promising entrepreneur, hahahahaha……
There were many dogs, big or small, black or white or brown…. All pets’ lover were there with their dogs. It was an eye opener for me.
I’ve just completed my 2nd masterpiece, still contradicting whether to get a custom made frame or a Disney frame that cost a bomb…. Meanwhile a layer of dust falls on it every single day. I’ve just got another set earlier this week, it’s the most petite puzzle I ever seen. I’m going to have a hard time using microscopic eyes to fix up the next masterpiece.

Site Maintenance...
No updates for the moment, had been busy with my shopping spree before the GST hike… Just purchased a DVD combo system, if possible, try to get another TV, plus a set of cordless handset, a sling bag, blah blah blah….. before the hike kicks in on 1st july, OH MAN!!!
This Sunday
No work today, took a day off just to volunteer my service at the funfair with my aunt, it's always easy selling orange cocktail. It’s always very good to be able to help others, I felt very satisfied and it’s very meaningful event.
Next Sunday
C’mon everybody out there….. (Esp pets lover). There will be a pets carnival at Yishun community centre. Do come and give your full support. I’ll drop by to support PETSSION.

Happiness No More
I sent my bro off last saturday, he was going away for NS; when boys become men, during the ferry ride to BMTC, i was feeling sooooOooOoo seasick, luckily the trip was very short, the moment i stepped onto the dock, i was wobbly, i was not able to walk straight. I coughed really hard till i feel like puking, the people in front looked back at me... We had a tour around the site and went ahead with the ceremony, even though i missed my bro, i never really spell it out, just that during the ceremony, my eyes were a little teary, after dinner, we went separate ways. We wouldn't be seeing each other for fortnight.
During the morning, mum cooked pork ball porridge, when we thought of my bro, i was wondering what he will be having for breakfast... We celebrated Fathers' day by having dinner out. We had steamboat outside. We were enjoying our food very much, after which we went shopping at Xtra and went home after that. After that, we went home, i told my mum, we're enjoying good food outside, whilst my bro is suffering in there.... I'm still not used to being lonesome.
Monday blues, it's working day, nothing much, but really affected by what others tell me, my boss told me only 1 sentence, I dunno if i'm petty or what, i'm always affected adversely by that 1 sentence, even compliments give negative feelings. I was thinking about it for the whole night, still not able to get over it.
Sometimes, people just shoot their mouth off without thinking about how it might affect the others, i'm 1 fragile and sensitive soul out here.... Haha. Even though they mean no offence, it's often the other party who interpret it from another point of view. I used to talk very little, like maybe 7 years ago, those were the younger days, but now, i'm extrovert, crappy jokes and stuff doesn't harm, serious talk, i rather turned mute...
My happiness ends here!
