Summer!

I love summer!  It seems there is always a lot going on.  Devin is busy with Pest Control, but that's nothing new.  I love the weekends when I can steal him away and we get to play. We went to the Herndon festival with some friends and we heard this band play.  Cody (my cousin) is here with us for the summer.  We talked him into selling pest control for Devin.  He has been doing so well, after the Herndon Festival, the business took us all (Tanners, Cody, and Devin and I) out to eat!

Here are all the friends!  We are so lucky to have made so many, many fun friends here in Virginia. 

More Virginia friends: Mindy Guymon and Alli Krewson.  Alli just moved to Texas but she already made it back for a visit!  We went for lunch just before she left.  The top left picture I purposely cut off the whole bottom half; our waiter focused the camera on the cup sitting on the table.  Oh well, he did get a funny Bridger shot :).

Bridger has moved into our closet!  Cody moved into our spare room, but Bridger doesn't even mind.  The closet is dark and cozy and his bassinet fits just great.  However, Bridger may not be fitting in the bassinet very much longer, he is getting big!  Notice in the top left corner how our Bridger-man likes to stick fingers from both hands in his mouth.  This is the norm.  It is his game: see how many fingers he can fit in his mouth before his gag reflex kicks in.

 

Amy came to visit last weekend.  We loved having her!  We took Bridger swimming.  Our pool isn't heated and it is a little cold for my little guy.  The first time I dipped his feet in he started screaming, but each time we go he likes it a little better.  By the end of the summer he'll be a fish loving it!

Bridger can pull out his binkie... Sometimes he can put it back in... Sometimes it ends up sideways or upside down.

I took Bridger in for his four month appointment with the pediatrician.  He has grown!  He weighs 15 pounds and he is 25.75 inches tall.  That puts him in the 50th percentile for weight and the 75% for height.  Yeah for my little man!

Scaredy-cat

Bridger is becoming such a fun baby.  He is a lot more talk-ative and interactive.  He has better use of his arms and hands.  He knows how to pull his binkie out and sometimes he can put it back in.  He has finally figured out how to play with his toys.  And he is becoming very aware of everything around him. 

Lately loud noises scare him.  Things that didn't bother him before like the blow drier, the vacuum, loud noises on the tv, and Devin will scare him and then he screams his sad cry until we can calm him back down.

Devin is a good daddy and he likes to talk with his little guy.  They carry on cute conversations.  But sometimes Devin scares Bridger.  Sometimes he does it on purpose, he makes low scary noises.  Sometimes he scares him on accident when he is too loud.

San Antonio

Bridger and I went to visit my aunt Leanna with my mom and Marie.  It was so much fun!  And humid and super hot!

We went to check out this "Cave Without a Name".  Most of the caves I've been to come out of a mountain.  However there aren't mountains in Texas and this cave was just a hole in the ground. 

It was super neat!  It opened way up into large caverns and had lots of million year old formations.
