I am Thankful for...

         kitchen pantry shelves!

      When we first moved in there was zero pantry space.  I have so many kitchen gadgets, not to mention canning and food storage.  Everything was piled in many boxes stacked in the corner.  Every time I needed something I had to re-shuffle boxes and dig through until I found the right can at no doubt the very bottom of the box.  Part of my birthday present from Devin were these wonderful shelves!  I love that he is such a handy-man.  Then I bought some fabric and borrowed a friend's sewing machine and made some curtains to hang in front.  It is so wonderful to have a pantry!  That is what I am thankful for!

Blowing Out Candles

      I had another birthday!  When I was little I would start thinking about my birthday months in advance.  By the time November rolled around I had my wish list ready and a list of things to do at my party.  It was a big deal picking out what character my cake would assume, and the whole day of my birthday was my own special day.  Somehow as I have grown older, my birthday has just become a birthday.  Instead of planning every step of "my day" months in advance, I don't do any planning, I leave it all to Devin.  I am lucky to have a husband that makes all my birthdays the best!   
       My birthday started out with a yummy and creative breakfast!

These are ice-cream cone pancakes with a sausage in them.  Dip in syrup... Delicious!  Devin's own invention.  Along with yummy biscuits and gravy.  MMmm!

      Though my cake didn't turn into a kitty or a princess this year, it did turn into 4 tall layers of chocolate and yellow cake, cream filling, and rich chocolate icing.  Yep, Devin is impressive!

      Devin invited a group of our friends over from our ward to celebrate with.  It was so fun!

Girls Craft Night

I love girls nights!  We recently decided we should start up a girls craft night every month and I am super excited about it!  This month we made little pilgrims...

 It was a fun craft.  Devin was my man who worked behind the scenes cutting our wood and sanding it all down for us.  Then we painted, modge podged, nailed, and peiced our pilgrims together.

There were six of us, but no one wanted to be pictured but the pilgrims ;)

My Helper

    Bridger likes to stand on a chair against the counter and watch me as I'm cooking.  The other day I made breadsticks.  He thought playing in the flour was great!  He'd rub his hand in the flour and then rub it in his hair.  He is super cute even when he's a mess!
