Oct. 2007 Deer Hunt

Eric glassing for Bucks on Opening day! Dave glassing for Bucks on opening day! Not seeing anything yet...so I struck a pose to kill the time! Friday morning, Oct. 26th...Sittin on my ridge before sunrise. Can't beat doin this! Friday evening, Oct. 26th...Hard work paid off...Beautiful four point buck! Thanks to Dad, Eric, and Joe... we spotted a buck at about 6pm. It took me four shots. He never turned broadside, and was surrounded by trees, so I took my shots with him facing away from me. The first two shots missed. The third shot hit his antlers and sent him in a scurry, got confused and ran in circles. Fourth shot, kill!

Saturday, Oct. 20th - BYU wins 42-7

Snow is just starting to fall... Snow is coming down hard... These shots were taken with my camera phone. I did not take a final shot, but by the end of the game, the field was completely covered in white. It made ESPN too. Granted we played a 1AA school and should have won easily, but the score should be way higher. Other than Harvey Unga, BYU played like crap and still put up 45 points and held Eastern Washington to only 7 points. If Max Hall played his A game, we would have easily put up 60+ points. Anyway, I was prepared for the cold weather and had 5 layers on. So it was actually alot of fun and not miserably cold. I'm also impressed with my camera phone. It takes pretty good pictures!

Wednesday, Oct. 10th

Beauty in its natural state. Dad meandering down with his rifle in hand. I drove up for the evening to help dad with his hunt. We saw nothing this day but did enjoy being out and about admiring the beauty of our surroundings. The shot above is one of the many beauties we encountered.

Shift change!

Just wanted to let all of you in the loop. I just switched shifts. I now work graveyard shift. I will work from 10pm to 8am on Sat,Sun,Mon,Tue.

Cookie Monster!

Luke loves Oreo cookies! He likes to pull them apart, eat the filling then eat the sides. He eats those peanut butter and cheese crackers the same way. As far as I know, he picked it up on his own.
