UPDATE!!!

Since Summer is over, Erin is back at work now. She still works at Wasatch Junior High in Heber. Days are getting longer and longer and she seems more tired as she progresses near her due date in December. Luke loves his new trampoline. Someone Erin carpools to work with was getting rid of their trampoline and offered it to us for FREE. Sweet. Funny thing is, we were considering getting one and he called just in time. He loves it, and we have not taken any pictures yet. I will have to post those later. I have just completed the Basic Police Bike School. We already utilize Bike Patrol at the Capitol. WE have used in on special events such as parades, or large crowd gatherings for the hill. Bike Patrol in very useful in College campuses and large crowds. We are taught slow riding to manuever through crowds without having to stop. And all the tactical applications too, but mostly tackling the slow riding skills. We did many long rides and I crashed a few times. In fact, we will be utilizing the Bike Squad for the Law Enforcement memorial coming up on Sept. 6th. See attached if you want to come to the hill to support our fallen officers. Just a heads up, we are expecting crowds in the thousands. Sorry, I have been busy this week with training and have neglected my blog.

Sgt. Scott Hathcock -

Sgt. Scott Hathcock with Wasatch County Sheriff's passed away on a routine traffic stop. He collapsed on scene and witnesses tried to revive him until medical arrived, but was pronounced dead on scene. Scott retired as a Trooper for the Utah Highway Patrol with over 20 years. He worked with the Wasatch County Sheriff for 12 years and became full time with them when he retired from UHP.
