Odgen Marathon
On May 15th, 2010 I ran the Ogden Marathon with Joe and Brandi. It was my first marathon and it was alot of fun. I finished in 4 hours, 11 minutes. I took 898th place overall. We went up Friday evening before the race and stayed in the Marriott just a few blocks from the finish line. Erin accompanied us and was at the finish line taking pictures with my parents and Joe and Brandi's kids. Erin took care of us after the race as we were quite sore. She drove us home, bought some ice for our ice baths, and even bought our dinner. It was a great experience and am looking forward to next year. A big thanks to Erin's sisters and parents who took care of our kids too. This photo was taken my Zazoosh photography. There were photographers posted along the race and I purchased this from zazoosh.com. If you visit zazoosh.com, you can search our pictures to view by our bib numbers. Mine is 3960. Visit Joe and Brandi's blog for more details. Their blog has some of the pictures that Erin and my parents took. Their blog link is on the right hand side.

2010 NBA Playoffs
Earlier in the week, John called and asked if I wanted to go to the Laker vs. Jazz game on Saturday. Scott, John's bro in la, was able to get three tickets. Ofcourse, I went and on Saturday evening, I met John and Scott at the game. Due to a miscommunication in meeting time, I arrived just in time for tipoff, but they got there 30 minutes prior. This was my third game at the Energy Solutions Arena (two prior were Delta Center). I hadnt been for a few years, and this was my FIRST ever playoff game. Man o man, did we ever pick a great game to go to(as a Lakers fan, that is). We got some minor razzing during the game and at halftime as we walked around proudly strutting our Lakers gear. Actually one fan, said some pretty vulgar words at us as he walked by spouting off his mouth. I won't repeat what he said, but I wouldn't be surprised if he hadn't been drinking the entire first half. All in all, I believe he was more embarrassing to himself and didn't represent the other Jazz fans there. He was just an idiot. Another white trash, drunk would yell "Colby(Kobe) sucks" whenever Laker fans would walk by. John greeted the drunk and tried to correct him by saying its "KOBE", not "COLBY", but he was too stupid to realize what was going on. Win or lose, this was an awesome game to attend. There were several lead changes during the second half and it was freakin awesome. As we walked out of the arena, up 3-0...you almost feel bad for the Jazz fans. Not a single word was said about the Lakers anymore, and it was a real quiet walk out. I drove back south all by myself, and decided to stop in American Fork at the IN N OUT to celebrate. As I pulled up, the gal taking orders greeted me and asked if the Lakers had won. I gave her a breakdown of the game and she gave me a high five. Then she took my order. I then pulled up to the window to pay, and again was greeted with an employee who wanted to know about the Laker game. Again, I gave a breakdown of the game(at their request), and it ended with a fist bump. I drove the remaining ten minutes home while munching on my fries, Double double, and Vanilla shake. What a great night. These pics were taken from our iphones, so don't expect great quality...
