My Class

I have been having a hard time dealing with the emotion of Derrik's diagnosis and the responsibility of it. I needed a distraction, something for just me. The Lord knew what I needed because out of nowhere the perfect job for me fell in my lap.

I saw on an email that a friend of a friend heard they were looking for an orchestra assistant for the Higley School District (the old district I use to work for). It was early morning and before school for only an hour and a half every school day. I had not even been looking but it really sounded
Iike something I would love. I played violin as a kid all through school and my girls both play so I emailed Mrs. Leigh who was the teacher for the class. I had a very small window of time because I would need to get back to take Kamryn to school at 9am so ai was just seeing if it would even work before I applied.  She emailed me right back and the exact time was the exact time I had available. Next thing I know she calls me and pretty much gives me the job. She needed me to help her with the parent meeting the next week. I had not even met her or anything. Since I used to work for HUSD the employment hire was fast and easy.

I find out later she wasn't suppose to do that. The district had others they needed to interview and she pretty much told them she wanted me and it would only be waisting their time so they said fine.

I help with the beginning class 3 times a week and teach the intermediate class twice a week. I love working with Kristin and the kids. The best part is I make $20 an hour and I am done with work by 8:15 in the morning. It is just what I needed to give me some me time and earn enough money to pay for a cleaning lady again. Heaven!

This is one of the beginning classes practacing strolling strings with very talented Mrs. Leigh.

Dog Fight

Poor Bisket got hurt really bad by Tat. They were playing and Tat got too rough. She ended up messing Bisket's eyes up pretty bad. I felt so bad for her. My friend Susan Johnson came over and helped us clean it up and give her pain meds. Not sure if Tat will be with us much longer.
