Welcome Home Momma

I don't know why but I was laughing when I pulled up to this in our garage. Not many women come home to this like I do every year sometimes more than 1 time a year.

Doug and his dad went deer hunting. Alan got one so Doug brought it home to hang it up. It is so hot so he only hung it up over night. He didn't want the meat to go bad.

It looks like a big dog or something.

2 Weeks Notice

I gave my 2 weeks notice. No job is worth dying for. This makes me sad. My boss basically said to me when I told him I needed to give my notice that stress what something I chose to feel. He said that if I feel that way I can change it. I told him that I don't know how to just stop caring. He said that is not what he meant but that when the day is over to just go home and be done. That is hard to do when you have a list of things longer than there will ever be time for and they will not give you any help. It is hard to tell a teacher who really needs their computer to work or a front office phone to work or the bells or intercom to work so they can have school the next day. Just say to them sorry I am going home, sucks for you! I just don't have it in me. I am so sad to be leaving but I have too. I am sad to not see all the kids and staff I have grown to love.

My dear friends the Lindseys who I have worked with this past year who were let go came to my house Sunday and said I have to quit and that Tony told them to have an intervention. Beau said he would even shave his stupid beard if I quit cause he knows how much I hate it. Last night at Rachel's farewell  I gave him a pink razor. It was so funny watching people wonder why he had a pink razor in his pocket with his big beard on his face.

When I gave notice I told Beau to start shaving. He sent me this picture...

It feels good to be done but I have lots to do to hand it over. I offered to stay and do the auditorium but they think a teacher is capable if doing it. LOL. I can't wait to see how that turns out.

First Day of College!

Sadie was not around when I needed to take a picture so her boss, who is my friend, took this for me! This girl works from 3am-9am loading UPS trucks. Sleeps in the day from 10-3pm. Works at her receptionist job from 3-6pm and then she has school from 7-9pm. She is taking a light school load till she figures out what she is going to do with her future. She is taking sign language and phycology 101 at the community college.  So proud of how far she has come!

I sure love this girl. I kinda adopted her. She is on her way to Milwaukee to teach the Gospel. I am so proud of her.

Home

A much needed break was in order and it happen to be, Doug's brother, Darwin's wedding so it worked out great. Doug and Derrik drove down and deer hunted. Judy needed to bring up Andrea and her kids and needed a bigger car so we traded cars. I don't normally like cars but her car has more gadgets than the Batmobile. I was so glad when my nephew, Dallen Slade, asked for a ride up cause he ended up driving most of the way cause I was still tired and not feeling well.  I had Kamryn and his sister Kayla with me. Sadie had to work. 

When we got there Darwin's daughter, Bailey, asked if Kamryn could play a song called Broken Road on her guitar. Kamryn didn't know it but went up to the cabin and looked it up the next morning. By noon she had it perfected. We went back to my dads house and they practiced with the mic and sound. With a few pointers we had it sounding beautiful.

This is my dad's tomato hut. He uses this top blind to guard agains hail storms and hot hot sun. They look so nice I had to eat some! They are just about ready to take off.

We borrowed all the sound stuff for the wedding. Darwin and Sally got married in Eagar in their back yard. It rained all afternoon and we were worried it would make it for a bad wedding but it stopped just in time. 

The girls did a great job. Broken Road is now a favorite of mine.

The weekend was so restful. I loved the sunsets.

It was crazy that it was cool enough to start a fire in the morning. Back in the Valley it was 112. I needed about a week of this life before going back to work.

UPS Lifter

I wanted someone to get a picture of Sadie on her first day of her new job but no one came through for me. Sadie got a job with her Chad working at a UPS loading facility. She works from 3AM to 9AM M-F. She says she is not like the other workers. Most are buff men with tattoos all over. Chad's dad works high up at UPS so he recommended her for the job. She is making good money and will even have benefits later if she wants them. She says she feels like the I Love Lucy show where she does the chocolates but instead of chocolates it is big boxes. She says sometimes it gets going so fast she has to just put them down on the floor next to her and come back to them. She says there is a lot more to it then lifting boxes. She has to organize the trucks just so. Sadie quit the job at Nourish, the food place, but she still has the Chirpractor job in the afternoons from 3-6pm. She then starts school next week at 7-10pm. She has lots on her plate.

Wishy Washy

I have no underwear to wear since I was in the hospital all weekend and couldn't do laundry.  I am super tired so I did not go into work but I desperately need clean clothes so I started the washer. After about 30 minutes I hear a horrible sound and then nothing. My washer took its last breath. I had to scoop out all the clothes and put them in the laundry room sink. I hope my amazing husband can fix it or get me new one quick. I am not made to be a pioneer.

YUMMY

I hate cooking and Doug doesn't love it but lately he has had the bug. He learned how to make home made red chili sauce from scratch. It was so good. This first week has been beyond stressful. If I get to pee it is a good day. Eating has been out of the question. So when I came home to home made chimichangas with red sauce I thought I died and went to heaven. It was so yummy. He even made it before he went in for his long 12 hour shift at work.

School 2015

First time in a long time I only have 2 pictures to take. Sadie didn't have school today. She was pretty happy about that fact too. Kamryn had to go early with me but then her Dad ended up taking her on time. Kamryn is a Sophomore this year. 

Derrik doesn't have to go to school till 10am! He only has to take 2 classes to graduate but to play a sport he has to take 4 so with seminary that will cut out 2  class periods.  He really likes to go in later. Derrik will be a big bad Senior this year. His dad took the picture since I was already at work. Doug didn't notice Derrik wasn't smiling. Derrik has never been one to like pictures. Unlike my "selfie girls" Derrik avoids the camera. Still has the long hair. I tried really hard to get him to cut it before school started.

Full of Wisdom

Derrik's teeth have been hurting him. He went to the dentist and he said his wisdom teeth needed to come out. He was having a hard time chewing his food.  After a lot of schedule conflicts we were finally able to get them pulled. I really did not think he would have a reaction the way Sadie did. Especially because his teeth were already almost out. 

First thing he said in a high squeeky voice was how fast it was. He said this over and over. Then he wanted to make sure and tell Sister Sherwood, Stratton's mom, that he was ok. He had so many funny things he said on the way home. I got most of it on record too. One was when it was raining he wanted to know if rain was God's pee. I said that isn't nice and he said it would be a funny joke God played on us if it was true. Derrik was lucky enough that he didn't swell at all and had not much pain.

D BACK WIN

Sadie was calling on the radio to win tickets to the Dbacks game. She made it on the show and won the tickets! Her and her boyfriend, Chad went to the game and had a good time. 

Fresh Coat

I am so excited to see our new paint job at the cabin. We traded some rental time to a friend I work with who paints on the side. He painted the whole house as well as the garage. I haven't seen it in person yet but he sent me pictures. It looks so clean and fresh. I had to guess on the color cause I lost he paint samples I brought home. He did some creative changes and I think it looks really nice.

Pile of Puppies

It is about time to send these little poopers to new homes. They are super cute but boy do they poop and pee a lot! I hate the smell that is in my house because of it too. We have them confined but they still make a mess. Bell is such a great momma. She really works with them to teach them. She has done a great job of disciplining them when they whine or fighting and she has taught them to only go to the bathroom on the mat. They still miss but they do try. Now she is trying to teach them to come out the doggy door. It is really impressive. I awe at how even a dog mother loves her children and wants what is best for them. We have already found a home for Lola. The dog from the first batch that Sadie "HAD TO HAVE and will TAKE TOTAL RESPONSIBiLITY FOR" um ya that didn't happen. I posted on Facebook and the rest pretty much got assigned out without even having a visit cause they are so cute. I do not want to be in the dog food for owls business anymore. It was too sad watching Bisket die from it. Bell has a messed up shoulder or we would find her a new home as well.
